Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cylinder lock according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • Such a cylinder lock can now be opened quite easily by an unauthorized person by inserting an object through the window into the plate-shaped tumblers which is jammed on the side surfaces of the window.
  • the tumblers lying in the same plane can all be lifted together out of the longitudinal groove until they come to lie within the dimensions of the rotatable inner cylinder and the inner cylinder can thereby be rotated.
  • Means for carrying out this method are known, so that these types of locks offer only limited security. In particular for locks in which the tumblers are not spring-loaded, this method can easily be used due to the free movement of the plates.
  • the inner cylinder When scanning the locking edges of the tumblers, the inner cylinder must be rotated so that the tumblers rub with their locking edges in the guide slots. The locking edges can then be felt when the tumblers are lifted. Locks are also known which make this scanning of the locking edges difficult.
  • the tumblers and correspondingly the longitudinal recess in the outer cylinder of the lock, in which the tumblers engage in the closed state are provided with profiles and hooks which are intended to prevent the tumblers from lifting after the inner cylinder has been slightly twisted. This measure makes unauthorized opening of the lock more difficult.
  • it is still possible to manipulate the tumblers directly through objects inserted into the key channel it is only a matter of time and skill to open such a lock.
  • a known cylinder lock (GB-A-1 134 046) contains an outer cylinder and an inner cylinder rotatably arranged in the outer cylinder. Freely movable, springless and plate-shaped tumblers are guided in the guide slots of the inner cylinder, which tumble downwards in the locked state and engage in a recess.
  • the recess is formed in units which can be put together in the form of disks, which are pushed onto the inner cylinder and are secured against rotation with respect to the outer cylinder.
  • four recesses of different depths are provided distributed over the inner circumference, which can be brought into the (lower) blocking region by pulling and rotating the disks and plugging them onto the inner cylinder again.
  • each tumbler plate is assigned a disc and the tumblers rest in the locked state with their lower edge on the recesses, the tumblers can be placed at different heights, which results in a large and easy-to-convert combination option for different key designs.
  • the recesses extend over angular ranges of 90 °, i. H. If a gap remains between the inner cylinder and the inside of the disks, the inner cylinder is not stored and guided directly in the outer cylinder; in addition, it is not necessary here for the tumbler plate to be moved into the area of the inner cylinder in the open position by the key (this can be easily recognized since the longitudinal dimensions of the tumbler plates are larger than the diameter of the inner cylinder).
  • the tumbler plates remain the same for all possible key combinations, the height of which is determined by recesses of different depths, which in turn can be determined by rotating disks in the area of the individual tumbler plates.
  • the object of the invention is to provide a simpler and more economical, yet secure cylinder lock.
  • two axially extending and continuous longitudinal grooves of the same depth, offset by 180 °, are provided on the inside of the outer cylinder.
  • the tumblers directly engage in these simple and inexpensive to produce longitudinal grooves in the closed position.
  • the outer cylinder is designed on the inside in accordance with the outer diameter of the inner cylinder, so that the inner cylinder can be rotated easily and inexpensively. This means that in the open position the tumbler plates must be guided in an area within the inner cylinder so that the inner cylinder can be rotated.
  • Two protective strips are provided which simultaneously perform two functions in the closed position.
  • the two protective strips serve to protect both sides of the windows against scanning. There is therefore no need for a complicated key or a complicated form of a protective strip with horizontally running parts, as in the prior art.
  • the horizontal covering of the narrow upper and lower key area can be dispensed with (as in the prior art) without reducing security.
  • the protective strips serve as stops for the tumbler plates falling down, i. that is, that at least some of the tumbler plates do not rest with their underside in the longitudinal groove.
  • the individual tumblers are thus immersed to different depths in the lower longitudinal groove. If all tumbler plates were lifted together, for example by the uncovered upper window edge, it would be possible without this measure to move the tumblers together into the open position. Due to the different immersion depths, this is not possible, because if you lift them together by the same amount, some of the tumblers always dip into the upper or lower longitudinal groove and the lock remains locked.
  • FIG. 1 shows a lock housing 1 in which an outer cylinder 2 is arranged such that it cannot rotate.
  • An inner cylinder 4 is rotatably mounted in the outer cylinder 2.
  • the outer cylinder 2 has longitudinal recesses 3 on the bottom and top.
  • Plate-shaped tumblers 5, 6 are arranged in guide slots 8 of the inner cylinder 4. (For a better overview, the tumbler plate 6 is not shown in FIG. 1, but rather only its place in the guide slot 8 is designated.)
  • a key 7 is inserted into the cylinder lock in FIG. 1 and thus the tumbler plates 5, 6 are out of the lower longitudinal recess 3 raised to the open position and close on their outer sides with the outer surface of the rotatable inner cylinder 4.
  • the key 7 has the same profile width 15.
  • the inner cylinder 4 is removed from the lock and cut at the location of a guide slot 8 with the protective strips 10, 10a inserted.
  • the protective strips 10 and 10a extend over the entire length of the cylinder lock.
  • An expedient profile design of the protective strips 10, 10a and a corresponding profile design of the rotatable inner cylinder are also shown in FIG.
  • the protective strips 10, 10a are simply pushed into the profile recess.
  • a section is shown transversely to the cylinder lock at the location of a tumbler with an inserted key corresponding to the FIG.
  • the key 7 is designed here as a double key with the profiles 7a and 7b.
  • the tumbler plate 5 has on its lower side surface a notch 13 which, in the locked state (FIG. 4), lies against an edge 11 of the outer cylinder.
  • Fig. 4 it can also be seen that the protective strips 10, 10a can be used as stops for the tumblers sliding downwards.
  • the individual tumbler plates can thus be different che heights are brought in the locked state.
  • the tumbler plate shown in FIG. 4 has, for example, a small immersion depth in the longitudinal recess 3 when it is rotated through 180 ° when it is used for the second profile of the double key.
  • the notches 13 on the outer edge of the tumblers 5 serve as a further protective measure against unauthorized opening by scanning the tumbler plates.
  • the notch 13 would get caught on the edge 11 if the inner cylinder 4 were turned slightly.
  • this notch in particular would allow the inner cylinder to rotate slightly and thus possibly to scan the locking edges of the tumbler plates.
  • the notches are only made at one end of the tumbler plates 5, so that when this tumbler plate is rotated by 180 ° as tumbler plate 6 is used for the opposite key profile of the double key 7, no rotation of the inner cylinder 4 is possible.
