Definitions

  • the invention relates to a floor covering for open spaces, in particular for play and sports facilities with a water-permeable artificial turf as the surface layer, with a water-permeable, rot-proof mat as an intermediate layer and with at least one substructure layer and a method for producing such a floor covering.
  • DE-AS 15 34 384 it is known from DE-AS 15 34 384 to arrange a water-permeable fleece between a water-permeable artificial lawn and a water-permeable, in particular heatable substructure with a perforated metal or plastic layer as the uppermost layer, with which, in the known floor covering, perfect water drainage between the drainage openings of the lawn and the drainage openings of the substructure is sought, but this substructure is still considerably more expensive than a simple asphalt layer or the like, so that such floor coverings are only considered in rare special cases, such as for large international stadiums.
  • the object of the invention is to provide an improved floor covering, in particular an improved substructure layer for a water-permeable artificial lawn, which can be produced comparatively easily, cheaply and quickly and yet still has a perfect surface quality or playability over the years Open spaces guaranteed.
  • the substructure layer has a mat made of loop-shaped, multilayered plastic wires which are embedded in a filling material and are welded to one another at the points of contact, and that the water-permeable mat provided as an intermediate layer has one filter mat impermeable to granular material.
  • the object is achieved in that the substrate is first prepared by loosening and / or leveling a layer of sand and / or gravel and then the mat formed from plastic wires is rolled into the prepared substrate such that its The top is flush with the surface.
  • the decisive advantage of the floor covering according to the invention and the method for its production is that the mat formed from plastic wires can be manufactured comparatively cheaply by machine and then directly on the spot in the leveled and optionally loosened surface or in a spread out thereon Layer of sand or the like can be rolled, whereby the overall cost of producing the substructure is considerably reduced, while on the other hand the construction time for the sports facility is shortened.
  • the use of the water-permeable filter mat as an intermediate layer also considerably simplifies the drainage problems, while at the same time preventing sand or, generally speaking, granular material from migrating upwards from the ground into the artificial lawn.
  • FIG. 1 shows a perspective illustration of a section of a preferred embodiment of a floor covering according to the invention which has already been laid.
  • the soil 10 is first compacted, leveled and rolled in a suitable manner, but not, as has been customary hitherto, finally covered with an asphalt layer. Rather, the surface is prepared before laying a floor covering according to the invention in a similar manner as in a tennis court or a tennis court, which is much cheaper than asphalting.
  • a floor covering according to the invention consisting of a sub-layer and an artificial lawn 16, can be placed directly on it will.
  • a substructure layer is provided in which a filter mat 14 is arranged above a mat 12 made of plastic wires, which is rolled into the top layer of the floor 10 and connects firmly to the floor, with a correspondingly loose sand first being placed on the floor - And / or gravel layer can be leveled, which then forms the filling material for the mat 12.
  • Such mats 12 made from plastic wires are already known per se for lawn areas and prove to be extremely advantageous when it comes to securing the top layer of the substrate against undesirable displacements and deformations.
  • the torture mat 14 which may for example consist of a needle felt and the material is selected so that the drainage of water supplied to the surface of the flooring is practically not hindered, while on the other hand an increase in sand and dirt from the ground or the floor 10 into the artificial lawn 16 is reliably prevented.
  • the filter mat 14 can be firmly connected to the plastic wire mat 12, it being particularly advantageous if the plastic wires of the mat 12 are thermally welded to the filter mat 14 at predetermined points.
  • a floor mat made of plastic wire mat and thus permanently connected filter mat is very well suited for the placement of any mat-shaped surface layers, for example another filter mat, as a result of which the plastic wire mat on the one hand ensures good cohesion of the top floor layer, while on the other hand the filter mat firmly connected to the plastic wire mat does so Raising of soil particles, in particular sand, to the top of the filter mat is prevented without impairing the water drainage into the soil.
  • the surface layer in particular an artificial turf, can then be loosely laid over such a substructure and then braced.
