Abstract

To prevent the accumulation of contaminating matter in the harness of a Jacquard weaving machine, a perforated box is provided at the lower end of the harness. Air is supplied into the box so that it flows vertically upwardly along the harness members and prevents dust, fibers and other contaminating matter from settling on the harness.

Description

Jacquard weaving machines have had the problem of dusting down the drawdowns in the lower part of the weaving harness for years. During the weaving process, flight fibers, dust and fiber abrasion settle. These contaminants slide down and become matted. As a result, the pulldowns can rot and tear. Associated with this is an impairment of the quality of the woven product and ultimately the destruction of the weaving harness. This has to be replaced at short intervals - in certain cases every six months - which leads to a breakdown of the machine.

With the development of faster running machines, starting at approx. 250 rpm, this pollution effect is significantly increased. In order to run faster, there are larger working widths and thus more trains (6,000 to 20,000 pieces), so that the contamination causes disproportionately high costs.

To clean the machines, it is known to blow the dust out of the armor laterally several times a day using a hand blower. However, the matted fiber parts cannot be removed as a result and must be periodically removed mechanically. The periodic blowing out pollutes the environment of the machine and is also unsatisfactory for this reason.

Um effektvoll zu sein, werden sehr hohe Saugleistungen verlang, was einen erheblichen Energieaufwand mit sich bringtAttempts have also already been made to attach larger suction fans to the side of the harness to clean the jacquard weaving machine, in order to remove the dirt immediately in the event of an attack. In order to be effective, very high suction power is required, which entails a considerable amount of energy

The pneumatic cleaning device on a weaving machine described in CH-PS 584 302 also has a blowing device provided with a plurality of blowing nozzles and a suction device. As a result, compressed air is blown through the shed from below and extracted again above the shed. In addition, additional lateral air flows are provided to improve the cleaning effect. However, air vortices arise, so that some of the dust does not get into the suction device. Above all, however, in the area of the shed with the warp threads that are constantly in motion, the air flow interferes with the weaving process.

The object of the invention is now to create a method and a device for keeping the weaving flesh drawdowns of a jacquard weaving machine free of dirt, in which the disadvantages mentioned above are avoided. To achieve this object, the method according to the invention has the features stated in the characterizing part of patent claim 1. The inventive device for performing this method is defined in claim 4.

The inventive method ensures that the dust falls down from the shed until it is stopped by the air cushion generated. The dust and dirt are kept in suspension by the air cushion and then move to the side, where they are removed, for example, by the ventilation system of the room or by an optionally arranged suction device.

An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is explained in more detail below with the aid of the single drawing, which schematically represents the lower part of a jacquard weaving harness.

The weaving harness pull-down of the machine is denoted by 1. In the area of the warp 3 and the shed, which is indicated as zone 2, soiling occurs in the form of flight fibers, fiber abrasion and dust during the weaving process. This dirt slides down the cables 4 and, if not removed in time, would matt the harness. In high-performance machines, pull-downs 4 made of elastic synthetic fiber cords are often used, to which the dust particles additionally adhere due to electrostatic forces, which further complicates their removal.

Below the attachment 5 for the trains 4 there is a box 6 into which air is blown. The air flows through a perforated plate 7 evenly in the trains from bottom to top and creates a slight overpressure in the lower part of the urinary compartment 1. This creates a uniform, vertical air flow in the entire lower area of the urinary tract. The level of this air cushion is indicated in dashed lines at position 8 in the drawing. The overpressure in the trains prevents the dirt from slipping down further, and these now emerge from the side and are carried away by the air flow. However, it must be ensured that the vertical air flow does not interfere with the weaving process. The air blown in must be filtered sufficiently. To prevent electrostatic charging of the fibers, humidified or ionized air should be blown in.

As a result of the air flow, there is an accumulation of fly dust underneath the chain 3 and the associated load on the underside of the chain with fly fibers. In order to counteract this phenomenon, it is expedient to attach suction pipes 9 below the shed on both sides of the harness. The fibers are sucked through these tubes 9 and discharged into the return air or into a dedusting system. The suction pipes also prevent the machine environment from becoming dusty.

Another improvement is to provide the lower part of the urinary cradle 1 with a casing 10 to the in the trains 4 to to better channel air flowing above.
