It is essential that this is a nitrogenous substance that has a pseudo-cationic character. As such, the substantivity of this type of compound on tissue is too weak.

If appropriate, perfume, dye, optical brighteners or other auxiliaries can also be added to the concentrate. To set the desired final concentration, it may be diluted with the necessary amount of water.
- the amount of the fabric softener concentrate according to the invention is about 10 to 20 g per 4 kg of laundry. With regard to the softening effect, this corresponds to an amount of approximately 50 to 100 ml of a commercially available fabric softener with an active substance content of 5%.
- the laundry fabric softener concentrates according to the invention which have good softening properties, can be dispersed well in cold water without causing troublesome gel formation. It is advantageous here that the concentrates can be fed directly into household machines with suitable metering devices. This good solubility also makes it possible to dilute the concentrates according to the invention shortly before they are put into the washing machine, so that the fabric softening agents can now be treated in the concentrated form according to the invention and no longer as diluted aqueous solutions as before. This eliminates the need to have to transport larger, ultimately superfluous amounts of water at all stages of the trade.
