Definitions
- the invention relates to a luminaire with at least two tubular lamps arranged in series as light sources in a lamp tube, with electrically conductive intermediate pressure springs being arranged between two contact ends of the tubular lamps facing each other.
- a lamp of this type is described in GB-A-963 309.
- the festoon lamps are arranged in a translucent tube, which is attached at one end to a connection block.
- the lamp has a semicircular, elongated shade.
- the disadvantage of this known lamp is that a transparent and continuous tube is required to hold the individual festoon lamps.
- the glass tubes of the individual festoon lamps which can normally get quite hot, touch this translucent tube. It . Therefore, only selected translucent materials can be used, which are heat-resistant and do not deteriorate in their translucency over long periods of time. The choice of material for the translucent tube is therefore limited, which also has disadvantages in terms of price.
- an additional screen is required, which is rigidly attached to the connection block. When illuminating light-sensitive objects, such as old pictures and other objects, a relatively large amount of heat reaches the object to be illuminated, which is very undesirable in many cases. It is also not possible with the known luminaire to change the direction of the light exit.
- the invention has for its object to provide a lamp that is very simple and constructed with common, inexpensive materials, exposes an object to be illuminated only a small amount of heat and with which it is possible to change the lighting location or the illumination.
- the combination of the features according to the invention results in the following advantages in particular:
- the compression springs between the outer tubular lamps and the respective luminous bodies result in secure and reliable support and mounting of the tubular lamps, also in terms of electrical contact, in combination with the electrically non-conductive sleeves as spacers and / or symmetry holders, which are arranged around the cylindrical circumferential surfaces of the contact ends of the tubular lamps and the electrically conductive intermediate pressure springs, and cause the tubular lamps themselves to be symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis in the lamp tube and not to touch the lamp tube itself with their glass jackets.
- the lamp tube has a light exit slit results in the advantage that only a limited amount of heat and heat radiation escape to the outside and thereby the objects to be illuminated, for example valuable old pictures and paintings, with varnish coatings, no one is exposed to excessive radiation.
- the light exit slot and thus the light exit direction can be rotated with respect to the longitudinal axis of the lamp in that the ends of the lamp tube are rotatably attached to the lamp body.
- the luminaire according to the invention has the advantage that additional devices required for tubes, such as quite complex and expensive glow igniters and compensation capacitors, are unnecessary, and that in the event of a defect, these luminaires and tubes do not have to be replaced as a whole.
- conventional fluorescent lamps or tubes have to be operated with mains voltage or with high voltage, which in many cases is not desirable for safety reasons, among other things.
- the luminaire according to the invention also emits one a natural, warm light from the lower voltage than the mains voltage.
- the replacement of the very inexpensive soffit lamps is very simple due to the springs used in the present invention, so that the lights according to the invention are very easy to maintain.
- a lamp is known from CH-A-105 807, in which the electrical connection between the individual festoon lamps is not made via contact springs, but via contact parts.
- the contact parts cannot be regarded as spacers or symmetry holders, since the festoon lamps rest on the glass tube or another lamp tube.
- the electrically non-conductive sleeves are preferably made of heat-resistant material, such as Teflon, which is up to 120 ° C.
- the sleeves preferably comprise both cylindrical peripheral surfaces of the contact ends of two festoon lamps which are directed towards one another and, if appropriate, the intermediate compression spring.
- the sleeve which serves as a spacer, prevents the glass of the festoon lamps from coming into contact with the lamp tube, for example in the event of a vibration, which may result in stresses in the glass due to the strong heat dissipation occurring at this point and thereby destroy the festoon lamp.
- By turning the lamp tube it is also possible to optimally and individually illuminate an object, for example a painting.
- the lamp according to the invention is particularly suitable for illuminating paintings, pictures, display cases, showcases, notice boards and advertising material, such as posters, etc. Because in contrast to spot lights, which are mainly used in these cases, a more uniform illumination is possible with the lamp according to the invention and, in particular, the lamp according to the invention emits significantly less heat, which, in contrast to spot lamps, is also better distributed and not punctually on a small area Object, such as a painting, is emitted. In particular, pictures, paintings with a varnish coating and other heat and heat sensitive objects are therefore not at risk when illuminated with the lamp according to the invention.
- the lamp bodies have a plurality of lamp tube holders, between which a plurality of lamp tubes are arranged parallel to one another.
- a wide variety of luminaires such as areal luminaires, luminaires with vertical, parallel arranged luminaire tubes, etc., can be created in a simple manner.
- a compression spring 5 which consists of conductive material and rests on a conductive plate that is insulated from the other lamp body. This plate is connected to a connecting line 11, 12. Rivets 13 are attached near the ends of the lamp tube holder 6, the internal rivet head being located in a corresponding recess 14 in a lamp tube 3. The lamp tube is therefore protected against axial displacement relative to the lamp body; on the other hand, the lamp tube 3 can be rotated about its longitudinal axis due to the recess or groove 14 on the outer circumference of the lamp tube 3.
- the compression spring 5 is enclosed by a sleeve 15 made of electrically non-conductive material, through which an outer contact end 4 of the right-most tubular lamp 2 in the drawing extends.
- This festoon lamp or its outer contact end 4 is in contact with the compression spring 5, which on the one hand forms an electrical line between the connecting cable 11, 12 and the contact end and on the other hand presses the festoon lamp to one or more further festoon lamps in the lamp tube, so that between the contact ends 4 of the respective festoon lamps a good electrical contact is guaranteed.
- sleeves 9 are provided, which enclose the entire peripheral surfaces of the contact ends 4.
- These sleeves preferably consist of a heat-resistant plastic that is electrically non-conductive up to approximately 120 ° C.
- Polyacetal resin (POM) is heat-resistant and highly insulating between - 50 ° C and + 150 ° C, and is therefore well suited as a sleeve material.
- an intermediate compression spring 7 is located between the contact ends 4, 8 of two tubular lamps which are directed towards one another.
- this intermediate compression spring 7 can also be omitted so that the tips of the contact ends 4 of the tubular lamps 2 touch directly and because of the spring action of the compression spring 5 be kept in good contact.
- the sleeve 9 would then either have to be shortened a little, or even better, so that the inside diameter of the sleeve does not abut the glass shoulder, but rather the tubular lamp with its glass jacket can be inserted into the sleeve at least to such an extent that the tips of the contact ends 4 touch.
- the lamp body, the lamp tube, the sleeves and compression springs, but not the festoon lamp itself, are shown in cross-section.
- the lamp according to the invention with the light exit slot 10 can be seen from the outside.
- Fastening arms 16 and fastening tabs 17 for fastening the light to the wall or to the ceiling are shown on the light bodies or light tube holders 6.
- the design effort for the lamp according to the invention is extremely low.
- the lamp can be easily shortened or lengthened with little effort and with the same lamp bodies or lamp tube holders using lamp tubes of different lengths, which is not the case with conventional fluorescent tubes.
- the luminaire according to the invention also has the essential advantage that it operates at different voltages, that is to say it can be regulated by means of a dimmer and does not give rise to radio switch-on interference.
