1. A panel saw comprising an upright frame (1) with a support grid (14) for a panel. having
a) a guide beam (5) mounted on the frame (1) for horizontal displacement,
b) a locking device (16) arranged between the frame (1) and the guide beam (5),
c) a tool carriage (6) mounted on the guide beam (5) for vertical displacement,
d) a circular saw (8) mounted on the tool carriage (6) for displacement into an operative position, in a direction vertical to the support grid (14), characterized by
e) a stop member (31) which is arranged for being actuated jointly with the locking device (16) and which, in the inoperative position of the circular saw (8), protrudes into the path of displacement of the circular saw (8) vertical to the support grid (14) (Fig. 3).
2. A panel saw in accordance with claim 1, characterized in that in the operative position of the circular saw (8) a second stop member (37) connected with the said circular saw (8) protrudes into the path of displacement of the said first stop member (31) (fig. 4).
3. A panel saw in accordance with claim 1 or 2, characterized in that there is provided on the guide beam (5) a switching element (24, 25) which can be moved into an inoperative position and a locking position and which serves to actuate both the said first stop member (31) and the locking device (16).
4. A panel saw in accordance with claim 3, characterized in that the said first stop element (31) is mounted on the tool carriage (6) for displacement against the action of a spring and can be actuated by a shift finger (33) connected with the switching element (24, 25).
5. A panel saw in accordance with claim 3 or 4 comprising a saw blade (9) which can be pivoted into a vertical and a horizontal cutting position, and a clamping device (38) for fixing the tool carriage (6) at the guide beam (5), characterized in that the switching element (24, 25) can be moved into a clamping position for actuating the clamping device (38).
6. A panel saw in accordance with any of claims 3 to 5, characterized in that the switching element (24, 25) comprises a rotary switching tube (24) with a locking bar (19) mounted therein for axial displacement.
