Description

The invention relates to a glass trimming machine for processing edges of glass panes, with a horizontally arranged, motor-driven turntable with detachable clamping devices, which operate automatically as a function of the turntable movement, for temporarily fixing the glass panes, at least one circumferential grinding wheel movably mounted on the rotary table circumference and controlled by a template guide or the like , one each loading and unloading device supporting the glass panes to be processed, the rotary table being arranged with the axis of rotation lying in the longitudinal center plane of both the feed path and the discharge path and one end aligned with the feed and discharge path in the feed or discharge position of the turntable Has conveyor track, in the area of which the clamping devices are arranged.

In DE-OS 27 56 443 a corresponding glass trimming machine is described, in which the pane feed and the pane are carried out by means of roller conveyors, with free-running rollers also being arranged on the turntable, on which the panes rest during processing and held in place by means of a suction device which can be lowered from above will.

This glass trimming machine has proven itself essentially well. However, it can affect the roles of. Remove the grinding dust from the roller conveyor, especially in the area of the turntable, so that marks or scratches on the glass panes cannot be excluded. Accordingly, the invention has for its object to develop the glass trimming machine according to DE-OS 27 56 443 such that the aforementioned disadvantages are avoided.

To achieve the stated object, the invention provides that the feed and discharge tracks are designed as belt conveyors.

According to a preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the turntable is provided with suction cups for holding the pane, in which case the turntable naturally also has no rollers for placing the glass panes.

On account of the configuration according to the invention, according to a further embodiment, in order to simplify the glass trimming machine, it can advantageously be provided that a continuous carriageway is provided for feed and discharge carriages.

Another preferred embodiment provides that feed and discharge carriages are firmly coupled via a connection and in particular that the coupling distance between feed and discharge carriages is adjustable according to the length of the disks to be processed. In this way, when a newly inserted disk is picked up, a machined disk can be removed from the turntable with the discharge carriage at the same time. In a common process, the new pulley then passes over the turntable and the machined pulley via the belt drive of the pulley continuation. A transport sequence of 28 to 30 seconds per disc is easy to achieve.

It is also provided in a particularly advantageous manner that the turntable can be rotated through an angle of more than 360 ° during the glass trimming and can be rotated back into the 360 ° position relative to the starting position after the trimming has ended and in particular that the turntable can be rotated by approximately 365 ° . This prevents a nose from remaining on the edge of the glass pane to be trimmed, as is the case when the rotary table is only rotated through 360 °. Such a nose is avoided by the overflow and processing of the entire circumference of the disk is ensured.

Further advantages and features of the invention result from the claims and from the following description, in which an exemplary embodiment is explained in detail with reference to the schematic drawing. The single figure shows a glass trimming machine according to the invention in a side view.

Transportgurten oder-Riemen beinhalten. Before the drawing is described in detail, be previously pointed out that cuts were made in the drawing at the dash-dotted lines labeled A , B , C and D, the end of the machine cut to the left of A completely corresponding to the right-hand end of the machine and that at B , C and D cut parts essentially only contain continuations of guideways or transport belts or belts.

The embodiment of the glass trimming machine according to the invention shown in the drawing also has, as described in DE-OS 27 56 443, a rotary table 12 which is arranged with a vertical axis of rotation 10 and which is preferably via a gear (not shown) with a motor (also not shown) a variable-speed DC motor is driven. The turntable doesn't show how
in DE-OS 27 56 443 a management or
Roller conveyor on; instead, several preferably four suction cups or suction cups 28, 30 are attached to it. These suction cups 28, 30 hold a glass pane 26 in place by applying a vacuum to the suction cups 28, 30.

The actual glass trimming machine is designed as in DE-OS 27 56 443 (shown there in FIGS. 2 and 3), so that reference is expressly made here. In general, therefore, in the actual glass trimming device, at the end of an angled pivoting lever which can be pivoted horizontally about a pivot point and is pulled, for example, by a compressed air cylinder in the direction of the axis of rotation 10 of the rotary table 12, via a common pivoting bearing attached two peripheral grinding wheels. The engine speed and the speed of rotation of the turntable 12 are controlled during rotation of the circumferential grinding wheels, for example by means of a potentiometer control such that the feed speed of the peripheral grinding wheels with respect to the constant as possible to be processed S cheibenkanten during grinding of the glass sheet taking into account the different distances relative to the peripheral grinding wheels , where the grinding speed can also be reduced accordingly when grinding sharp corners. To guide the circumferential grinding wheels lie coaxially to these mounted guide rollers on a replaceable guide template known type depending on the shape of the disk and guide the circumferential grinding wheels during the rotary movement of the turntable according to the template, so that the edge of the glass sheet to be processed is chamfered in the desired shape. The circumferential grinding wheels can be disengaged from their working position into a waiting position by means of a push-button-actuated piston-cylinder unit or the like, the stroke preferably being approximately 10 to 1 COrnm. The peripheral grinding disks are disengaged from the working position in which the peripheral grinding disks process the glass sheet 26 transversely to the conveying direction, that is to say in such a way that the peripheral grinding disks are no longer in contact with the edge of the glass sheet.

In the embodiment according to the invention, the glass trimming machine has a disk feed 19 provided with belts or belts and a disk extension 23 also provided with belts or belts 21. On these belt drives, which are driven by a motor drive, as shown at 25, the glass panes are fed for trimming.

Above the disc feeder or extension 19 or 23, as can be seen from the drawing, is on supports, of which the supports 60 and 82 can be seen, to which there are hidden pendents, which are therefore not visible, on the opposite side of the inlets or extensions 19 and 23, a lane 66 supported on the supports is provided. The carriageway 66 is formed continuously from the carrier 60 to the carrier 82 over the turntable 12 and extends in each case over the carriers in a suitable length to the left or to the right. The track 66 has, for example U-sections, in each of which a driven by a cable drive 72, linear Go back and forth we Barer feeding and g are supported Austragewagen 74 and 90 by means of wheels 68,70. The cable drive 72 is guided in each case at the end of the carriageway 66 attached deflection rollers, of which the right-hand deflection roller 27 is shown, while the corresponding left-hand deflection roller was cut along the line A in the drawing.

The feed carriage 74 has, in the manner shown in the drawing - in the embodiment shown: two - suction cups 78, 80 arranged one behind the other in the front direction, which, as can be seen from the figure, point to one to be processed by the pulley feed 19 by means of the belts 21 depending on the size of the glass pane in the position of the suction cups 78.80 or, in the case of smaller glass panes, in the position 78 ', 80 t . Correspondingly, the discharge carriage 90 has suction cups 79, 81 for receiving the glass pane 2-6.

The two carriages, i.e. feed carriages 74 and discharge carriages 90, are rigidly connected to one another in the exemplary embodiment shown via a connection 31, although the length of the connection 31 can be adapted to the size of the glass pane 26 to be processed, so that the feed carriage 74 and the discharge carriage 90 on the common lane 6 6 are coupled at a distance adapted to the respective dimensions of the glass panes 26 by means of the connection 31, as a result of which, when a newly supplied glass pane 26 is picked up by means of the feed carriage 74, a processed glass pane can simultaneously be removed from the rotary table 12 with the discharge carriage 90.

Im Betrieb arbeitet die Glasbesäummaschine in ihrer erfindungsgemäßen Ausgestaltung wie folgt:In operation, the glass trimming machine works in its configuration according to the invention as follows:

First, a glass pane 26 is brought into its respective receiving position for being picked up by the feed carriage 74 by the belts 17 of the disk feeder 19 driven by the motor drive 25. This pick-up position is determined by the size of the pane, for example the pick-up position designated by the reference numerals 78.80 for the suction cups of the feed carriage 74 applies to a glass pane with a length of 2 meters, while that by reference numerals 78 ', 80' applies to the Suction cups of the position Z shown uführwagens 74 applies to a smaller glass sheet having, for example, 70 cm length. The same applies to the discharge or continuation side, on which a large glass pane of, for example, 2 meters in length is moved by means of the discharge carriage 90 into the position of the suction cups designated by the reference numerals 79 ″, 81 ″ and a smaller glass pane of, for example, 70 cm to the 79 ', 81' designated position of the suction cups of the discharge carriage 90 is brought.

When the glass pane is arranged in its receiving position for the feed carriage 74 and the feed carriage 74 has moved into its assigned position, the suction cups 78, 80 are located above the glass pane 26. At the same time, the suction cup 78, 80 is on the turntable 12 by means of the suction cups 28, 30 fixed glass plate 26 finished, the turntable being guided into its end or discharge position, which is angularly offset from the feed or entry position of approx. 365 0 , because during the processing the turntable had been rotated 360 ° beyond the end position to prevent protruding noses at the edge of the glass pane, for example by + 5 °, and is turned back into the end position during the glass pane change. At the same time that the feed carriage 74 is arranged in its receiving position, the discharge carriage 90 has moved into its receiving position located above the turntable 12.

The motor drive 25 for the disc feed 19 and the corresponding motor drive for the disc extension 23 are automatically switched off by an automatic cycle control, as a result of which the belts 17 and 21 of the feed and discharge carriages become idle. The suction cups 78, 80 of the feed carriage 74 and the suction cups 79, 81 of the discharge carriage 90 are, via their respective piston-cylinder units, onto the glass pane 26 still to be processed, which is brought up through the belt 17, or onto the already processed glass pane 26 on the turntable 12 lowered, with the circumferential grinding wheels being simultaneously moved by their piston-cylinder unit from the edge of the already processed wheel 26 by 10 to 100 mm. The suction cups 78 and 80 or 79 and 81 are subjected to negative pressure so that the disks are sucked in, while the suction cups 28, 30 of the turntable 12 release the disk by being vented. The suction cups 78, 80 and 79.81 are then raised by their respective piston-cylinder units. Then the carriages 74, 90 are moved from their starting or receiving positions into their respective right-hand end or Dispense positions move so that at the same time the finished glass sheet 26 is transported by means of the carriage 90 to the sheet extension 23 and the glass sheet 26 resting on the sheet feeder 19 is placed on the suction cups 28, 30 of the turntable 12.

The suction cups 28, 30 are then subjected to a vacuum, while at the same time the suction cups 78 ″, 80 ″ or 79 ″, 81 ″ are vented and the respective glass pane 26 is released. While the carriages 74, 90, without having sucked in a glass pane, are returned from the end positions reached in this way on the right to the left end positions (position of the suction cups 78, 80 and 79.81) and the pane feeds or pane extensions 19 or 23 are put back into operation by means of their motor drives, on the one hand to bring in a new glass pane and on the other hand to feed the finished, processed glass pane deposited on the belt 21 to further processing, the turntable 12 makes a full revolution after the circumferential grinding wheels have been engaged by the piston-cylinder unit from a little more than 360 °, for example 365 °, the entire edge of the glass pane 26 being chamfered at the same time.

"This is done essentially in the manner described in DE-OS 27 56 443, in which namely the first peripheral disk of several peripheral grinding disks, which comes into engagement with the disk edge to be machined, has a substantially flat peripheral surface, while the other peripheral grinding disk is concave, for example C -shaped. Thereby, the first circumferential grinding wheel initially grinds the chamfered, broken circular surface of the glass sheet 26 flat, whereby the end-Umfan g sschleifscheibe for better utilization of the abrasive coating performs an oscillating movement of 5-7 mm, whereupon the C-periphery grinding wheel, the two edges of the glass sheet simultaneously can chamfer. It is important here that the template guidance of the peripheral grinding wheels ensures a completely uniform machining of the corners of the glass pane 26 as well, thereby avoiding difficulties in further processing, in particular the occurrence of hairline cracks during hardening and the like. In addition, the disengagement of the peripheral grinding wheels during the Loading and unloading the turntable ensure that no damage to the glass pane 26 can occur during loading and unloading of the turntable. "

Of course, numerous modifications of the exemplary embodiment described above are possible within this inventive concept. For example, instead of the carriages 74.90 guided with the wheels 86.70 in the U-profiles of the carriageway 66, slides or the like can also be provided. It is also possible to replace the described suction cups 78, 80 or 79.81, which are used in the carriages 74.90 for gripping the disks during loading and unloading, by other drivers, for example mechanical devices acting on the edge of the disk . Advantageously, the transport belts 17 and 21 can also be made driveless in that corresponding couplings are provided in the respective motor drives 25 and the drive for the belt 21, it being only essential that the belts 17 and 21 during the transport of the glass panes by means of the carriages 74.90 or according to the devices are not driven. Overall, the glass pane according to the invention, due to the specified structure and the arrangement in a line between the feed path and the discharge path and the corresponding feed transfer and discharge devices, gives the possibility of achieving a continuous transport flow, which is achieved only by processing the edge of the pane during the rotation of the turntable 12 is interrupted. A transport sequence of approx. 28 to 30 seconds per disc can be achieved.

The features of the invention disclosed in the above description, the drawing and in the claims can be essential both individually and in any combination for realizing the invention in its various embodiments.
