Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for setting up signs; this device consists of 3 parts, which are called the support peg, extension rod and impact device.
To set up signs, in particular traffic signs, a holding device is always necessary which gives the sign a firm footing in the ground. In such a foundation for the installation of a traffic sign, a rod is then attached to which the sign is attached raised above the ground. When setting up a traffic sign, it is therefore immediately necessary to build a foundation in a suitable manner. The role of the foundation takes over the holding peg in the invention, while the role of the rod takes over the extension rod according to the invention. The role of the foundation is taken over in the invention by a holding peg together with an impact device.
So far, traffic signs have been set up in different ways, all methods have in common that a rod is attached to a holding device, which then carries the sign itself. The holding device itself often consisted of a foundation anchored in the ground; Such a foundation can usually be achieved by a small cast concrete foundation or by a heavy concrete block that is placed on the floor. Another method used to date has been to attach the shield support bar to an iron frame that has a wide footprint; this support frame was then usually weighted down with stones. However, sometimes a foundation or a holding device was dispensed with entirely for the provisional installation of a traffic sign by inserting the holding rod directly into the ground.
If you put a sign on the handrail directly into the ground, you have to accept the disadvantage that this type of installation is not stable. Because it is usually impossible to insert a pole so deep into the ground with your hand that it ensures a completely safe installation of the sign. If one wanted to drive such a rod into the ground with the help of a hammer, the worker would first have to climb a ladder to solve this task in order to be able to hit the free end of the holding rod with a hammer from above. This is a very cumbersome method, moreover is still dangerous because a ladder can easily fall over. The other types of fastening for traffic signs with the help of foundations or concrete blocks or stone-weighted holding frames are not only expensive; if you put up a sign on a motorway in this way, the heavy but stable holding devices pose a danger to traffic. Accordingly, such heavy and stable holding devices are necessary in order to give the traffic signs a completely safe stand.
Werkzeugaufwand.Overcoming the disadvantages of conventional installation methods should therefore give the traffic sign a completely secure footing, but also avoid a heavy and obstructing foundation. An inventive sign holder should therefore be suitable both for makeshift but stable as well as permanent installation of traffic signs. The set-up itself should be carried out as simply as possible, i.e. today, especially of few workers with little work or tools.
This object is achieved in that, as before, holding rod and holding device or foundation are separate parts. However, in the invention, the support peg and the extension rod, which serves as a support rod for a traffic sign, form a synergetic combination, namely that the extension rod is adapted to the upper part of the support peg such that the two parts can form a fixed connection with one another without the use of tools. To set up a traffic sign, the holding peg according to the invention is first driven into the ground with the impact device according to the invention.
The holding peg according to the invention essentially consists of a holding tube, at one end of which an ordinary tip is attached. With this tip, the holding tube is driven into the ground. In order to anchor the holding pipe in the ground so that it cannot twist, angle plates are welded to the holding pipe above the tip. These angle plates have a disk on the side farther from the tip; this disc serves as a stop for the holding tube on the surface of the floor. In the case of particularly soft ground, however, a worker can simply step on the pane with his boot and thus drive the holding tube into the ground. Should the inventive peg again are pulled out of the ground, so it can be easily held on the pane for this purpose and thus pulled out. A holding profile is attached to the other end of the holding tube. Holding holes are drilled in the sides of this holding profile, which is preferably designed as a U-profile. In this holding profile, a crossbar for attaching another object to the holding peg can be attached using a pin that is inserted through two opposite holding holes. Usually, however, the holding peg according to the invention serves to receive the extension rod according to the invention.
With the hammering device according to the invention, the holding peg according to the invention can be driven relatively easily into hard ground. For this purpose, the tube of the wrapping device is put over the holding profile of the holding peg until it strikes the disc of the holding peg. A worker can now hammer the plate that is attached to the impactor tube to drive the peg into the ground. The handles, which are attached to a linkage, are used to guide the holding peg in a certain direction in which the holding peg is to be driven into the ground are welded to the impactor tube. The linkage or the handles are firmly connected to each other by a web and thus stabilized. Although two workers are usually necessary to drive the holding peg according to the invention into the ground with the hammering device according to the invention, namely one for hammering and another for holding the hammering device, it is nevertheless also possible for both to be carried out by only one worker . When the holding peg is driven into the ground with the floor surface up to the stop of its disk, the hammering device according to the invention is lifted off the holding peg.
The extension rod according to the invention with the plug-in profile can now be placed on the holding profile of the holding plug according to the invention. Since the holding profile and the plug-in profile are square, the extension rod cannot twist on the holding peg, which is itself not rotatable. This ensures that a traffic sign that is attached to the extension rod always remains correctly oriented. To secure the extension rod on the holding peg, a fuse can be secured through the holes in the plug-in profile and thus through the holding holes in the holding profile The extension rod according to the invention is designed in an inventive manner so that another extension rod can be placed on its socket profile; for this purpose, the socket profile is of the same dimensions as the holding profile of the holding peg. If the required installation height is achieved by placing extension rods according to the invention on top of one another, the shield can be attached to the extension tube itself or in a conventional manner on the extension tube.
The dismantling can be carried out just as easily as the installation of a sign with the present invention. For this purpose, the extension rod is first simply removed from the holding peg after the safety split pin has been pulled out beforehand, if necessary. The holding peg according to the invention can then be gripped on the disk and pulled out of the ground.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the following Figures 1 and 2.
The holding tube (4) is drawn in Figure 1 one end of which has the tip (1) and the other end of which the holding profile (6) is attached. The peg is driven into the ground with the tip (1). Above the tip (1), the disc (3) is fastened, supported by angle plates (2). The wrapping device according to the invention, which is shown in FIG. 2, is placed on this disc (3); Without the help of the impact device, however, the holding peg can also simply be driven into a soft floor with the foot. The holding profile (6) is preferably, as shown in Figure 1, designed as a U-profile, in the side walls of which holding holes (5) are drilled. In Figure 1, a plug-in profile (8) is drawn over the holding profile (6), which according to the invention fits onto the holding profile (6). When it is placed over the holding profile (6), the bores (7) of the plug-in profile (8) close off with the holding holes (5) and the holding profile (6). The inside dimensions of the plug-in profile (8) are the same as the outside dimensions of the holding profile (6), whereby of course a slight play should be permitted. The extension tube (9), to which the plug-in profile (8) is attached, is shown interrupted in Figure 1 to save space. On that the end of this extension tube (9), the socket profile (10) is placed; this socket profile (10) is advantageously designed as a U-profile, in the side walls of which bores (7) are burned. The socket profile (10) with its holes corresponds to the retaining profile (6) with its retaining holes (5) in identical dimensions. The extension tube (9) is narrower than the holding profile (6); This ensures that the extension rod with its extension tube (9) does not automatically slide down over the holding profile (6) to the disc (3) of the holding peg.
In Figure 2, the impact device according to the invention is placed on the support peg. This impact device consists of a tube (11), on one end of which a plate (13) is fastened, preferably welded. The tube (11) is dimensioned so that it can be pushed over the holding profile (6) and extends to the disc (3) without the plate (13) abutting the holding profile (6). A rod (12) is placed or welded around the pipe (11). This linkage (12) usually consists of round bars. The linkage is preferably slightly bent upwards and ver with a web (15) for stabilization bound. At the outer ends of the linkage (12) are handles (14) attached these handles (14) can be formed simply by the fact that the linkage (12) is bent outwards. The worker can only hit the plate (13) with a hammer. The blow is transmitted from the tube (11) to the disc (3) of the support peg. As a result, the holding peg is driven into the ground with the floor surface until the disc (3) stops. The angle plates (2) transmit the impacts that have been absorbed by the disc (3) to the holding tube (4). They also prevent the peg from twisting when driven into the ground.
The advantages achieved with the invention consist in particular in that the establishment of a solid foundation or the installation of heavy concrete blocks or weighted iron frames is no longer required. No preparatory work is therefore necessary to set up a sign using the device according to the invention. Furthermore, the device according to the invention for the installation of signs does not constitute an obstacle to traffic and therefore also no danger. The holding peg according to the invention can be according to the hammering device, a maximum of 2 workers hammer it into the ground; the holding peg then forms a stable holder for an extension rod to be attached, which can no longer be rotated. The extension rod itself is designed according to the invention so that it can be extended as desired by further extension rods.
