Definitions
- the invention relates to a pressure relief facade for buildings at risk from sudden pressure differences, consisting of panel-shaped wall elements which are attached to the edge facing the building facing side in such a way that they release at a certain room pressure.
- a solution has become known from CH-A 531 124 in which glass panes with the decay characteristics of thermally toughened glass are used.
- a pointed stop is mounted on the pressure side of each disc so that the distance to the disc is less than the maximum deflection of the disc area under the stop, which the disc can still suffer without breaking.
- the pressure relief facade described at the outset can be found in US Pat. No. 3,807,106.
- the holding means mentioned consist of flanges screwed to the panel-shaped wall element, which are fixed to flanges firmly connected to the building by numerous bolts penetrating the two flanges. These lie on the side facing the building with a head against the flange on the building side and, at their free end facing away from the building, which projects beyond the flange screwed to the panel-shaped wall element, has a bore through which a shear wire is inserted.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of developing a pressure relief facade which has an easy to install enlarged facade area portion for pressure relief.
- the panel-shaped wall elements preferably the parapet parts located below the windows, each have a circumferential, perpendicular to the facade level retaining leg in their edge area on their side facing the building, which at its free edge in a thickened terminal strip passes, which is pressed into an undercut clamping slot of a plastic profile fixed in the facade and is detachably held there in an elastic positive connection.
- the wall areas below the window are preferably also included in the pressure relief area.
- the wall elements are pressed perpendicular to the facade level into the plastic profiles made of rubber, neoprene or the like. can exist and are set on the facade so that they maintain their original position even if the wall elements are pressed out of their clamp bracket in the event of a sudden pressure rise.
- the elastic form fit is preferably designed so that the wall element is released at an internal pressure of 0.05 to 0.1 bar.
- the terminal strip seen in cross-section in the pushing-in direction, can have a steep run-up slope which merges into an oppositely running flat run-off slope, which is gripped by a clamping lip of the plastic profile, which merges into an insertion slot which widens conically towards the outside of the facade.
- this ensures that the terminal strip is easily pressed into its elastic form fit.
- this elastic shape absorbs the wind suction forces acting on the wall element, but dissolves almost suddenly when a certain internal pressure is reached. This effect can also be ensured by the fact that the clamping lip delimits a profile cavity which is arranged behind it in all directions on the pull-out direction. This ensures sufficient strength on the one hand and sufficient flexibility of the clamping lip on the other.
- the plastic profile can have a first sealing lip have, which covers the holding leg of the wall element to the outside and abuts the edge of the wall element.
- the plastic profile can also have a second sealing lip which covers the holding leg of the wall element on the inside and bears against the inner surface of the wall element.
- the plastic profile thus serves not only to hold a wall element, but also to seal it.
- the plastic profile according to the invention forms excellent sound absorption.
- the retaining leg of the wall element is covered on all sides by the sealing lips of the plastic profile, with neither the fastening nor the sealing being visible from the outside, so that there is a visually appealing solution.
- the plastic profiles and thus their sealing lips are protected from the sun's rays.
- the plastic profile is preferably held in a metal profile.
- the latter can have a U-shaped cross-section, with a rectangular undercut for holding the plastic profile being provided on the free edges of the two U-legs. In this way, on the one hand, the plastic profile can be installed in a simple manner, on the other hand it is ensured that the plastic profile is not also pulled out of the metal profile when the wall element is released.
- the holding leg can be part of an angle profile fastened on the inside of the wall element.
- the wall elements can be released in their edge area, so that the clear distance between the holding structure and the wall elements can be reduced.
- the clamping strip of the holding leg can have comb-like incisions. This will reduce the length of the bracket in the plastic profile. By choosing the number and / or length of the incisions in the longitudinal direction of the profile, the clamp connection can be easily adapted to different pressure conditions.
- FIG. 1 An exemplary embodiment of the invention is shown schematically in the drawing.
- the illustration shows a horizontal section through a pressure relief facade. Only the fastening area of two adjacent wall elements is shown. All other details of the facade construction as well as the window arrangement and design have been left out.
- the drawing shows two adjacent panel-shaped wall elements 1, which can be parapet parts arranged below windows. From the supporting structure of the facade, only a post 2 is indicated schematically. The building area is labeled 3 and the outside of the weather is labeled 4.
- the wall elements 1 are notched in their edge region 1 a and are provided here on their side facing the building 3 with a circumferential holding leg 5 which is perpendicular to the facade plane.
- the holding leg 5 is part of an angle profile 6, which can be riveted to the inside of the wall element 1 or attached in some other way.
- the holding leg 5 merges at its free edge into a thickened terminal strip 7, which is pressed into a clamping slot 8 of a plastic profile 9 fixed in the facade and is detachably held there in an elastic positive connection.
- the terminal strip 7 When viewed in cross-section, the terminal strip 7 has a steep run-up slope 10, which merges into a flat run-off slope 11 running in the opposite direction.
- the plastic profile 9 has a first sealing lip 14 which covers the holding leg 5 of the wall element 1 to the outside of the weather 4 and rests on the edge of the wall element. Furthermore, the plastic profile 9 has a second sealing lip 15, which covers the holding leg 5 of the wall element to the inside and lies against the inner surface of the wall element.
- the plastic profile 9 is held in a metal profile 16, which is U-shaped in cross section. At the free edges of the two U-legs there is a right-angled undercut 17 which engages behind the plastic profile 9 or engages in a corresponding slot in this plastic profile.
