Claims (2)

1. Système de refroidissement pour un convertisseur d'aciérie, avec, prévues sur la paroi du récipient, des chambres de refroidissement parcourues par un agent de refroidissement, en particulier pour un chapeau de convertisseur à la périphérie duquel est prévu un grand nombre de chambres de refroidissement parcourues par un agent de refroidissement et s'étendant dans le sens des génératrices de la surface du chapeau, ces chambres étant raccordées à des tronçons de conduits de distribution, respectivement collecteurs, s'étendant horizontalement au pourtour du chapeau du convertisseur, et ces chambres étant raccordées, par l'intermédiaire d'un conduit d'alimentation passant par un des tourillons porteurs ou par les deux tourillons porteurs du convertisseur, à un système d'alimentation en liquide de refroidissement, caractérisé en ce que le conduit d'alimentation (11, 14) du système de refroidissement peut être raccordé à volonté à un conduit de gaz sous pression (21) dans le but de le vider du liquide de refroidissement, le système comprenant des installations de surveillance, respectivement de signalisation (17, 18, 19) pour la commande de la pression et/ou de la température et/ou du débit du liquide de refroidissement, et où sont prévus des organes de commande (20, 22) actionnables par ces installations de signalisation lors d'une déviation, par rapport à une valeur de consigne maximale, respectivement minimale, des paramètres surveillés du liquide de refroidissement pour couper le conduit du système d'alimentation en liquide de refroidissement et pour raccorder ce conduit (11 ou 14) au conduit de gaz sous pression (21).
2. Système de refroidissement suivant la revendication 1, caractérisé en ce que plusieurs convertisseurs (1, 1') sont raccordés à un système commun (15) d'alimentation en liquide de refroidissement et à une source commune (21) de gaz sous pression.
