Claims (5)

1. Procédé pour augmenter la sensibilité spectrale et le pouvoir résolvant d'un produit électrophotographique qui comprend, sur un support conducteur, une couche contenant un liant électriquement isolant, un photoconducteur organique et un colorant, ce colorant se présentant sous la forme d'un complexe colorant-colorant et ayant la formule:

où X- est un anion,
ce procédé consistant
soit (1) à appliquer la dite couche à partir d'un mélange de solvants organiques contenant un solvant du colorant qui demeure dans la couche pendant le séchage soit (2) à soumettre le dit produit aux vapeurs d'un solvant organique du colorant jusqu'à l'obtention d'un changement de couleur et ensuite à sécher le produit.
2. Procédé conforme à la revendication 1, dans lequel le mélange de solvants organiques comprend des hydrocarbures, des hydrocarbures halogénés, du p-dioxane et des alcools aliphatiques halogénés.
3. Procédé conforme à la revendication 2, dans lequel les solvants contenus dans le mélange de solvants ont des points d'ébullition inférieurs à 200°C.
4. Procédé conforme à la revendication 1, dans lequel le colorant est le perchlorate de 4[(2,6 - diphényl - 4H - thiapyran - 4 - ylidène) - méthyl] - 2,6 - diphénylthiapyrylium ou le fluoroborate de 4 - [(2,6 - diphényl - 4H - thiapyran - 4 - ylidène)méthyl] - 2,6 - diphénylthiapyrylium.
5. Produit électrophotographique comprenant un support conducteur, une couche contenant un liant électriquement isolant, un photoconducteur organique et un colorant, ce colorant se présentant sous la forme d'un complexe colorant-colorant et ayant la formule:
