Abstract
Un proceso unificado que combina un proceso único de regeneración del catalizador en el sitio con una destilación reactiva continua bajo presión para la alquilación de hidrocarburos aromáticos livianos, tales como benceno con olefinas C2-C30, usando un catalizador de ácido sólido para alquilación sostenido en la zona de reflujo (21) de una columna de destilación (Sección A). La regeneración periódica del catalizador (Secciones E, F y G) se lleva a cabo con una inyección contracorriente de una parafina C4-C16 (35) por debajo de la zona de rectificación de benceno en la parte superior de la columna, pero por encima de la zona del catalizador, mientras se inyecta la carga de hidrocarburo aromático para reacción (17) de manera continua en un punto por encima de una zona de rectificación en la base de la columna donde el compuesto aromático es separado de la parafina y los subproductos son lavados para retirarlos del catalizador. El uso de parafina C4-C16 con el hidrocarburo aromático en un porcentaje molar en el rango de 40 a 90% permite una temperatura de regeneración de alrededor de 175-250°C, que se logra y se mantiene regulando la presión de la columna y la tasa de reflujo del hidrocarburo aromático. Se necesitan presiones significativamente más bajas, del orden de 125 a 370 psig, para lograr la temperatura de regeneración que las que se requerirían con el uso solamente del hidrocarburo aromático para diluir y lavar los subproductos de las superficies del catalizador.
