Abstract
En una unidad de hidrocraqueo, se alimentan los gases vaporizados (flash gases) provenientes del separador de alta presión al fondo de una zona de absorción en la cual los gases entrantes son puestos en contacto a contracorriente con un solvente pobre. El solvente pobre elimina por absorción el contenido de metano, etano, propano, butanos y pentanos (C1+) del contenido de hidrógeno. La corriente de gas que sale de la parte superior de la zona de absorción contiene típicamente hidrógeno con una pureza de 90 a 98 mol%, o aún mayor, hidrógeno que es alimentado a la corriente de gas reciclado para proveer hidrógeno con una pureza en la gama de 96 a 99 mol%, con lo cual se provee un aumento de la eficiencia total de la unidad hidroprocesora. El proceso también puede ser empleado con reactores de hidrotratamiento, hidrodesulfurización, hidrodenitrogenación e hidrodealquilación.
