Abstract

Se trata de un proceso de fraccionamiento de mezclas de metano y nitrogeno, mediante adsorcion selectiva bajo presion de adsorcion fluctuante (PSA), en dosetapas. En la primera etapa de adsorcion se aplican zeolitas de fijacion selectiva del nitrogeno y el efluente de esta operacion, rico en metano es fijado poradsorcion selectiva en la etapa siguiente. Se recuperan en ambas etapas fracciones ricas de nitrogeno, respectivamente en metano con mínima formacion defracciones residuales. Dicho proceso es particularmente util para el fraccionamiento y enriquecimiento en metano, del gas natural.
