Abstract
Описывается способ получения газообразного водорода. Водород получают восстановлением водяного пара с использованием пары металл/оксид металла для удаления кислорода из воды. Водяной пар вводят в контакт с расплавленной смесью металлов, причем смесь металлов содержит первый химически активный металл, такой как железо, растворенный в металле-разбавителе, таком как олово. Химически активный металл окисляется до оксида металла, причем образуется газообразный водород, а затем оксид металла можно восстановить обратно до металла для дальнейшего получения водорода без существенного перемещения металла или оксида металла во второй реактор. Реактор (400) имеет огнеупорные боковые стенки (402), приспособленные для содержания расплавленной смеси (404) металлов. Когда водяной пар вводят через фурму (408), железо в смеси (404) металлов окисляется до оксида железа. Оксид железа поднимается и накапливается в слое (406) шлака.
