Description

  • Schneidwerkz-eug aus einem gesinterten Pulvergemisch Zur Herstellung von Schleifscheiben benutzt man häufig ein gesintertes Pulvergemisch eines sehr harten Karbides, insbesondere Siliciu,mkarbid, mit einer silicatischen Bindemasse, etwa Aluminiumsilicate oder Alkalialuminiumsilicate. Die Korngräße des verwendeten harten Karbides beträgt hierbei in der Regel mehr als o, i mm. Kleinere Korngrößen wurden nur gelegentlich zur Herstellung von Polier- oder Läppzwecken dienenden Scheiben verwendet, mit denen jedoch eine Schleifwirkung nicht erzielbar ist.
  • Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf Schneidwerkzeuge, die gleichfalls ,aus ,einem gesinterten Pulvergemisch :eines sehr harten Karbides oder Borides und einer silicatischen Bindemasse bestehen, und geht von der Erkenntnis ,aus, daß bei derartigen Werkzeugkörpern -ein ganz besonders feines I"'-arbidkorn entgegen aller von großem Vorteil ist. Es ;gelingt nämlich, wenn die Korngröße dies verwendeten harten Karbides weniger als o,oo5 mm beträgt, mit dem hergestellten Werkzeug Körper aus Isolierstoff Galler Art, auch Kohle; abzudrehen;, zu bohren, zu hobeln ,oder zu fräsen, ,also Arbeiten zu verrichten, die mit den bekannten, aus Siliciumka.rbid und silicaiischer Bindemasse bestehenden Schleifkörpern nicht möglich waren. Als besonders vorteilhaft hat es. sich erwiesen, wenn das zur Herstellung des Werkzeuges mitverwendete harte Metallkarbid, etwa Siliciumkarbid,oder Titankarbid, eine Korngröße von o,ooi bis 0,002 mm besitzt. An Stelle der I%'-arbide können bei dem neuen Werkzeug auch harte Bioride, wie z. B. Titanborid, verwendet werden. Statt eines einzigen Karbides Moder Borides können auch ,gleichzeitig zwei,oder mehrere Karbide ,oder Boride oder Karbide und Bo:ride zur Hierstellung des Werkzeuges Anwendung finden. Eine geeignete Zusammenseetzung :eines Schneidwerkzeuges nach der Erfindung ist die folgende: Silidwmkorbi-d (Korngröße unter o,oo3) = 67 Gewichtsteile, silicatische Bindemasse=33 Gewichtsteile.
  • Die silicatische Bindemasse: kann beispielsweise folgende Zusammensetzung hab;m: 50% Koalin, 1 o % Aluminiumoxyd, 150/0 Feldspat, 250/0 Quarz.
  • Die Mischung aus Siliciumkarbid der angegebenen Korngröße und silicatis:cher Bindemasse wird zwecks Herstellung der Werkzeuge in üblicher Weise -verformet und gesintert. Gegebenenfalls kann gleichzeitig mit dem Sintern ein Heißpressen stattfinden.

Claims (1)

  1. PATENTANSPRUCH: S:chneidwerkzeug, insbesondere mtm Abdrehen, Bohren, Hobeln oder Fräsen von Isolierstoffen aller Art, auch Kohle, dadurch gekennzeichnet, .daß das Werkzeug aus einem gesinterten Pulvergemiscli eines sehr harten Karbides oder Borides von einer Korngröße von weniger als o,oo5 mm, vorzugsweise von o,ooi bis o,oo2mm, und einer silicatischen Bindemasse besteht.
