Die Neuerung "betrifft eine Ir ierplatte aus thermisch
geblähtem Silikatschaum.
Poröse Formteile aus Silikaten, -wie Platten, Ziegel9
Rohrschalen oder der^rl. sind "bereits "bekannt und finden
vielfach Anwendung als Isoliermittel gegen Einwirkung von Wärme, Kälte und Schall. Zur Herstellung derartiger
Isolierteile wird vielfach Glas mit einem Treibmittel verwendet· Da die Erweichungstemperatur des Glases "bei ca.
75O0C liegt, ist die Anwendungsmöglichkeit derartiger
Isolierstoffteile stark begrenzt. Das gleiche gilt für Isolierstoff teile, di*s aus Lösungen von Glas, Basalt
oder sonstigen Silikaten in Wasserglas hergestellt sind. Die Erweichungstemperatur derartiger Lösungen liegt
unter 75O0C. Diese relativ niedrige Erweichungstemperatur
gehräntt ebenso wie die geringe Zementverträglichkeit
des Glases die Anwendungsmöglichkeit derartiger Formteile
erheblich ein. So ist beispielsweise die Verwendung von solchen Formteilen zur Isolierung von öfen oder dergleichen
unmöglich*

Neben Isolierstoff teilen aus geschäumten] Glas sind auch
Formteile bekannt gev/ordeti, die aus verdichteten, thermisch
geblähten Granalien aus Glas bsrw. Ton bestehen* Bei der
Verwendung von !Don kann zwar fUr die Einzelgranalien eine Erweichungstemperatur von bis zn ca, 1000°C angenommen
werden» jedoch kann diese Temperatur nicht als Anwendungagrenztemperatur

Struktur dar so entstandenen Formteile bei Erwärmung
mechanische Spannungen entstehen, die zum Zerspringen der
Formteile führen.
Bei allen bisher bekannten keramischen Isolierstoffen
hat sich überdies das im Vergleich zu anderen bekannten Isoliermaterialien hohe Raumgewicht und die Üblicherweise
nicht konstante Grosse der Poren als nachteilig erwiesen· Das Rauragewicht, das bei bekannten keramischen Isolierstoff—
teilen bei ca· 800 bis 1000 kg/m* liegt, bedingt eine hohe
Wärmeleitzahl bzw, eine gute Wärmeleitung und vermindert somit die Isolierwirkung·
Die Neuerung schlägt nun eine keramische Isolierstoffplatte
vor, die die oben geschilderten Nachteile bekannter keramischer Isoliermaterialien nicht aufweist. Sie ist dadurch
gekennzeichnet, dass sie überwiegend wabenförmige Zellen und ein Raumgewicht unter 250 kg/m^ aufweist und aus einen
natürlichen und/oder synthetischen Ton mit weniger als 30 Gew~# Al2O- besteht, dem ggf. übliche Zuschlagstoffe,
wie andere Silikate, Schlacke, Basalt oder dergl. fein
verid.lt beigemiaeht sind· Die Schäumtemperatur des verwendeten
Tones liegt über 1100°C, wodurch die Anwendung der neuerungsgemässen
Isolierstoffplatte auch in höheren Temperaturbereichen möglich ist, ohne dass deren Zerstörung zu befürchten,
wäre. Als besonders vorteilhaft erweist sich das geringe Raungewicht, das eine hervorragende Isolierwirkung gewährleistet»

Claims (2)
1. Poröse keramische Isolierplatte mit homogener Zellstruktur, dadurch, gekennzeichnet, dass sie iiberwiegenä
wabenförmige Zellen und ein Baumgewicht unter 250 kg/nr
aufweist und aus einem natürlichen und/oder synthetischen Ton mit weniger als 30 Ge^ ·-$>
Al2O- "besteht, den ggf«
■übliehe Zuschlagstoffe, wie andere Silikate, Schlacke, Basalt
oder dergl«, fein -verteilt "beigemischt sind.
2. Poröse keramische Isolierplatte nach Anspruch 1, dadurch
gekennzeichnet, dass ihre Oberfläche geschlossen ist.
