Description
Verfahren zur Darstellung brauner Farbstoffe Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung brauner Farbstoffe und beruht darauf, daß durch Hydrolyse von Chloranil oder Bromanil Farbstoffe erhalten werden können, welche gebeizte oder ungebeizte Wolle und Seide echt anfärben. E,s ist gefunden worden, daß bei Behandlung von Chloranil mit verdünntem Ätznatron bei mäßiger Temperatur ein braunes Produkt entsteht gemeinsam mit dem bekannten Natriumsalz des 2, 5-Dioxy-3, 6-dichlorbenzochinons. Wird von dem unveränderten Chloranil und dem Natriumsalz des Dioxydichlorbenzochinons abgefiltert und das braune Filtrat mit Chlorwasserstoffsäure oder ähnlichen Säuren versetzt, so scheidet sich der braune Farbstoff in Form eines Niederschlages aus. Beispiele i. i kg Chloranil wird mit o,61 35°Jaiger Atznatronlösung und 15 1 Wasser bei 4.o° C während 2o Stunden er-,Wärmt.
