Es hat sich jedoch herausgestellt, daß ein derartiger breiter und steifer und im feuchten Zustand schwerer Rand die Fußleisten nicht optimal reinigt und die Ecken, also der Übergang vom Fußboden auf die Fußleisten, nicht zufriedenstellend erfaßt werden. Nachteilig ist auch der durch das Umschlagen der Ränder bedingte hohe Stoffverbrauch des teueren Florstoffes und die arbeitsintensive Handfertigung.
