Abstract

The invention relates to a wiping device for wiping surfaces to be cleaned, especially floor surfaces, comprising a plate-type or frame-type wiping element holder (1), preferably in an essentially long, rectangular form, and a wiping element (4) consisting of textile material or the like, which is adapted and fixed to the wiping element holder (1). Said wiping element (4) respectively comprises, on the upper side facing the wiping element holder (1), close to the two opposing sides, and close to the narrow sides in the long, rectangular form, a narrow fixing strip (5), which is applied with its ends to the wiping element (5) [sic]. Said fixing strip extends approximately transversally on the wiping element holder (1) when the wiping element (4) is fixed to the same (1). Description

The invention relates to a wiper device for wiping surfaces to be cleaned, in particular floor surfaces, with the features of the preamble of claim 1. Essential parts of the wiper device are on the one hand a mop cover holder, on the other hand to be mounted on the mop cover holder, replaceable mop cover.

Wiper devices of the type in question have been known for decades. They are colloquially referred to as floor wipers ( DE 29 14 230 A1 ). Such a wiper device initially has a mop cover holder, on which a handle sleeve is generally pivotally mounted via a gimbal joint, into which a more or less long handling handle can be inserted. The mop cover itself is usually designed as elongated-rectangular plate or as a correspondingly elongated-rectangular wire frame, optionally with an attachment plate ( DE 29 14 230 A1 ; known from the prior art). Elongate-rectangular encloses also in plan view of an exact rectangular shape slightly different shapes, in particular a trapezoidal shape.

The consistently used in practice flat mop covers with three-sided sewn-in pockets are demanding in the production and require expensive production facilities. In practice, it has repeatedly been criticized that the insertion pockets when rinsing the mop covers run full of water and the mop cover can not be dried so optimal. Finally, the pockets are not part of the cleaning active mass of the mop cover, but still make up between 7% and 12% of the total weight of the mop cover. Accordingly, 7% to 12% of the material costs of a commercially available flat mop cover with pockets are used in terms of cleaning technology without effect. The same applies to the costs that are caused by the washing of the mop covers.

In everything one has to take into account that such mop covers are used very extensively and in a variety of ways, especially in the professional sector, where the margins of the companies are low and thus any cost savings are welcomed.

Attempts have already been made to avoid the known disadvantages of mop covers with end-sewn-in insertion pockets explained above by providing the underside of the mop cover holder and the upper side of the mop cover with hook-and-loop fastener elements ( DE 22 29 824 A1 ). These wipers have not been able to prevail in practice, because the production is also complex, but above all because they require a hand only possible handling to remove the mop cover, namely the removal of the mop cover from the mop cover holder. In the wiper device proposed there are both three-sided sewn, end-side insertion pockets for wide mop cover holder as well as narrow, narrow stitched attachment strips for narrow mop cover holder. Slit pockets and fastening strips are made of textile or textile-like material similar to the material of the base fabric of the mop cover. Thus, the mop cover proposed here can be used with mop cover holders in two different widths.

The teaching is based on the problem, the above-explained in detail known wiper device with narrow attachment strips on the top of the mop cover, so design and further, that it is even more useful.

The above-mentioned problem solves the wiper device according to the invention with the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. The insertion pockets of the wiper device known from the prior art have a further function, namely the congruent orientation of the mop cover holder for mop cover. At the same time, considerable advantages are achieved. By eliminating the three-sided sewn insertion pockets, the manufacture of the flat mop cover is much cheaper. The omission of the insertion pockets saves about 7% to 12% of the total weight of the mop cover. To a corresponding extent, the washing costs are reduced. The material usage is lower by a corresponding percentage. Dewatering the mop cover after rinsing is more effective because the narrow attachment tabs do not catch water.

Usually, the textile or textile-like material of both the mop cover 4 and the fastening strip 5 will be a synthetic fiber material or a synthetic fiber / natural fiber mixture.

In particular, when producing the fastening strips 5 made of textile or textile-like material, it is expedient to attach the fastening strips 5 by sewing on the mop cover 4. For the attachment of the fastening strip 5 on the mop cover 4, many other possibilities come into question. For example, one might think of securing the fastening strips 5 to the mop cover 4 by stitching or riveting. When using synthetic fiber material, it would also be conceivable to weld the materials of fastening strips 5 and mop cover 4. Overall, however, has in practice the sewing of the fastening strip 5 on the mop cover 4 proved to be particularly useful, as well as the known from the prior art insertion pockets have been sewn on the edge.

The sewing of the fastening strip 5 with the mop cover 4 is easy, since only two flat surfaces need to be sewn together here. In addition, the suturing does not have to take place in the edge region of the mop cover 4. It is therefore independent and much more durable executable.

With a correspondingly fitting design of the mop cover holder 1, the fastening strips 5 can not be elastically extensible in their longitudinal direction. In practice, it has been shown that the fastening strips 5 with a corresponding design, in particular with a corresponding thickness, readily project from the upper side of the mop cover 4, thus already forming an insertion opening by itself. The insertion of the ends of the mop cover holder 1 is thus very easy, it is not necessary to lift the mounting strip 5 from the mop cover 4. In particular, this applies to a mop cover holder 1 with folding plate or folding wire frame, which in any case should be particularly easy to handle in itself.

So far, nothing has been said about how the Lagefixierungsausbildungen 7 can be performed on mop cover holder 1. The reversibility of the mop cover 4 is facilitated by the attachment strips 5 are mounted on the edges of the mop cover 4 such that they have in both positions of the mop cover 4 to the mop cover 4 substantially the same relative position.

The fastening strips 5 must, especially if they are made elastic, not exactly be attached to the edge, but the reversibility is greatly assisted when such attachment is realized.

In addition to the flexibility in the design of the mop cover 4, which is achieved in a reversibility, in particular with the use of two layers 4a, 4b, the two-sided usability for cleaning purposes of considerable advantage. The execution of the mop cover 4 of two firmly connected, in particular sewn active cleaning layers 4a, 4b has the further advantage that while the fastening strip 5 can be easily attached with. They are simply anchored at the ends between the layers 4a, 4b, in particular sewn.

19. Mopping device according to Claim 18, characterized in that the layers (4a, 4b) have different structures and/or surfaces and/or materials or material compositions.
20. Mopping device according to Claim 18 or 19, characterized in that the fastening strips (5) are fastened between the layers (4a, 4b), in particular sewn to the layers (4a, 4b), at the ends.

Mopping device according to one of Claims 1 to 20, characterized in that the mop-cover holder (1) has a hollow chamber for accommodating a relatively large quantity of cleaning liquid, which can pass out onto the mop cover (4) fastened on the mop-cover holder (1) via at least one outlet opening in the mop-cover holder (1), or it is formed by such a hollow chamber and in that position-fixing arrangements (7) are provided in a corresponding manner in the hollow chamber (1), the fastening strips (5) preferably being designed to be elastically extensible in their longitudinal direction.
22. Plate-like or frame-like mop-cover holder (1) for a mopping device according to one of Claims 1 to 21 for mopping surfaces which are to be cleaned, in particular floor surfaces,

    in that, at the location where, when the mop cover (4) is fastened on the mop-cover holder (1), fastening strips (5) of the mop cover (4) are intended to run, the mop-cover holder (1) is provided with position-fixing arrangements (7) which are designed as recesses or protrusions and prevent the situation where a mop cover (4) fastened on the mop-cover holder (1) undergoes undesired longitudinal displacement in relation to the mop-cover holder (1).

Mop-cover holder according to Claim 22, characterized in that, in order to form the position-fixing arrangements (7), the mop-cover holder (1) is a trapezoidally tapered design at the ends assigned to the fastening strips (5) and the desired position of the fastening strips (5) is located in the trapezoidally tapered legion.

Mop-cover holder according to Claim 22, characterized in that the position-fixing arrangements (7) of the mop-cover holder (1) are peripheral recesses in the mop-cover holder (1) which extend from the ends assigned to the fastening strip (5) and in which the fastening strips (5) are located in the desired position.

Mop-cover holder according to Claim 22, characterized in that the position-fixing arrangements (7) of the mop-cover holder (1) are peripheral recesses which are arranged on the longitudinal sides of the mop-cover holder (1), these sides running approximately transversely to the course taken by the fastening strips (5), and in which the fastening strips (5) are located in the desired position.
26. Mop-cover holder according to Claim 24 or 25, characterized in that the peripheral recesses are connected by a recess running on the top side of the mop-cover holder (1).

Mop-cover holder according to Claim 22, characterized in that the position-fixing arrangements (7) of the mop-cover holder (1) are peripheral protrusions which are arranged on the longitudinal sides of the mop-cover holder (1), these sides running approximately transversely to the course taken by the fastening strips (5), and prevent the fastening strips (5) from being pushed any further onto the mop-cover holder (1).

Mop-cover holder according to Claim 22, characterized in that the position-fixing arrangements (7) of the mop-cover holder (1) are protrusions which are arranged on the top side of the mop-cover holder (1) and prevent the fastening strips (5) from being pushed any further onto the mop-cover holder (1).
29. Mop-cover holder according to one of Claims 22 to 28, characterized in that the mop-cover holder (1) has a fixed plate and/or wire frame.
30. Mop-cover holder according to one of Claims 22 to 28, characterized in that the mop-cover holder (1) has a swing-action plate and/or wire frame.
31. Mop-cover holder according to one of Claims 22 to 30, characterized
    in that the mop-cover holder (1) has a hollow chamber for accommodating a relatively large quantity of cleaning liquid, which can pass out onto the mop cover (4) fastened on the mop-cover holder (1) via at least one outlet opening in the mop-cover holder (1), or it is formed by such a hollow chamber and in that position-fixing arrangements (7) are provided in a corresponding manner in the hollow chamber (1), the fastening strips (5) preferably being designed to be elastically extensible in their longitudinal direction.
