Description
Die Erfindung betrifft biologisch weitgehend abbaubare hydrophobe
Salbengrundlagen.
Hydrophobe Salbengrundlagen, die bis heute hin in der Dermatologie eingesetzt
werden, sind vornehmlich Vaseline, Paraffinsalbe und hydrophobe Basisgele, die
wie die sogenannte Plastibase aus einer Mischung von Paraffin mit Polyethylen
oder Ceresin oder ähnlichen Petrolwachsen bestehen.
Vaseline und Mischungen aus Paraffin und Petrolwachsen werden aber auch nicht
nur in der Dermatologie sondern auch als Lederfett, Schmiermittel, in
Rostschutzmitteln, in Schuhcremes, als Abdeckfett in der Galvanik, als
Weichmacher in der Gummiindustrie, als Lötfett, Melkfett, Polierpasten,
Textilhilfsmittel, als Drahtziehfett, in Druckerschwärzen und auf ähnlichen
technischen Gebieten eingesetzt. Ein wesentlicher Nachteil von Vaseline und
ähnlichen Produkten ist die Tatsache, daß sie praktisch nicht oder nur sehr
langsam biologisch abbaubar sind, da es sich um verzweigte oder unverzweigte
Kohlenwasserstoffe in Mischung handelt, die einem bakteriellem Abbau nur
schwer zugänglich sind. Es besteht daher ein Bedarf nach Produkten mit
vergleichbaren Eigenschaften, die, da biologisch nach relativ kurzer Zeit
weitgehend abbaubar, keine Umweltbelastung darstellen.
Erfindungsgemäß werden jetzt biologisch weitgehend abbaubare hydrophobe
Salbengrundlagen vorgeschlagen, die gekennzeichnet sind durch einen Gehalt an,
bezogen auf 100 Gewichtsprozent, etwa 60 bis 80 Gewichtsprozent eines
pflanzlichen Öles, etwa 3 bis 5 Gewichtsprozent einer Metallseife und einem
pflanzlichen oder tierischen Wachs.
Völlig überraschend hat sich herausgestellt, daß hydrophobe Salbengrundlagen,
die auch für die oben genannten technischen Zwecke eingesetzt werden können,
herstellbar sind, wenn man Mischungen aus pflanzlichen Ölen und pflanzlichen
oder tierischen Wachsen mit Metallseifen in geringen Mengen andickt. Dabei
entstehen dann Produkte, die hinsichtlich Streichfähigkeit, Fädigkeit und
Transparenz mit Vaseline oder dünnflüssigeren hydrophoben Salbengrundlagen
vergleichbar sind.
Erfindungsgemäß können verschiedene pflanzliche Öle eingesetzt werden,
vorzugsweise werden aber solche benutzt, die einen höheren Anteil an
ungesättigten Fettsäuren aufweisen. Der Gehalt an einfach- oder mehrfach
ungesättigten Fettsäuren kann bis etwa 60% des Gesamtfettsäuregehaltes
ausmachen. Zu den bevorzugt eingesetzten Ölen, die weltweit in großen Mengen
zur Verfügung stehen und biologisch vollständig abbaubar sind, gehören Sojaöl
und Sonnenblumenöl, die sich im übrigen in ihrer Zusammensetzung sehr stark
ähneln. Sojaöl enthält einen hohen Anteil von etwa 55-65% an mehrfach
ungesättigten Fettsäuren, die im wesentlichen eine Kettenlenge von 16 und 18 C-
Atomen aufweisen. Der Anteil an zweifach ungesättigten C-18 Fettsäuren beträgt
durchschnittlich 44-62% und der Anteil an C-18 Säure mit drei
Mehrfachbindungen liegt im Bereich von 4-11%. Sojaöl enthält natürlicherweise
einen relativ hohen Anteil an Tokopherolen als natürlichen Antioxidantien.
Es können aber auch andere in hinreichender Menge produzierte Öle eingesetzt
werden, und zwar trocknende und nicht trocknende wie Erdnußöl, Olivenöl,
Rapsöl, Kokosöl, Jojobaöl oder andere.
Als Quell- und Verdickungsmittel werden Metallseifen in relativ geringen Mengen
eingesetzt, und zwar vorzugsweise physiologisch unbedenkliche Verbindungen
wie Seifen des Kalzium, Magnesium oder Aluminium. Besonders bewährt hat sich
der Zusatz von Aluminiumstearat, das in der Regel keine einheitliche Verbindung
ist, sondern aus den Di- und Tristearaten des Aluminiumhydroxids besteht und als
Quell- und Verdickungsmittel in der Pharmazie und der Kosmetik, in der
Lackindustrie, für Schmierfette, Bohröle, Druckfarben und als Formtrennmittel in
der Kunststoffindustrie verwendet wird. Aluminiumstearat ist praktisch untoxisch
und kann daher unbedenklich für topische Anwendungszwecke eingesetzt
werden.
Zur Erzielung der notwendigen Konsistenz und Viskosität wird dem pflanzlichen
Öl ein tierisches oder pflanzliches Wachs zugesetzt. Wachse sind chemisch
unterschiedlich aufgebaute Verbindungen, die aber auf Grund ähnlicher
Eigenschaften unter diesem Oberbegriff zusammengefaßt werden. Wachse sind
bei 20°Celsius knetbar, fest bis brüchig hart, durchscheinend bis opak, jedoch
nicht glasartig und schmelzen in der Regel um oder kurz über 40 bis 70°C, wobei
die Schmelze niedrigviskos und nicht fadenziehend ist.
Bienenwachs, das vorzugsweise eingesetzt wird, besteht aus einer Mischung von
Estern von C-16-C-36 Säuren mit C-24-C-36 Alkoholen mit einem Anteil an
freien längerkettigen Fettsäuren. Außer Bienenwachs kann aber auch
Schellackwachs oder Candelillawachs, Carnaubawachs, Japanwachs,
Espartograswachs, Korkwachs, Guaramawachs, Zuckerrohrwachs oder
Ouricurywachs eingesetzt werden.
Die Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Salbengrundlagen erfolgt in der Weise,
daß die Metallseife mit dem Öl bei etwa 80 bis 150° aufgequollen wird. Nach
Bildung einer völlig gleichmäßigen Mischung wird die Viskosität dieses Geles
dann in der Abkühlphase durch Zugabe des Wachses nach Bedarf eingestellt.
Die eingesetzten pflanzlichen Öle und pflanzlichen und/oder tierischen Wachse
sind in relativ kurzer Zeit vollständig biologisch abbaubar und stellen daher keine
Umweltbelastung dar. Über die Abbaubarkeit von Aluminiumstearat herrscht in
der Literatur noch keine einheitliche Meinung, aber aufgrund der chemischen
Zusammensetzung kann erwartet werden, daß der Fettsäureanteil jedenfalls
längerfristig ebenfalls biologisch abgebaut wird. Außerdem ist zu berücksichtigen,
daß das Quellmittel nur in sehr geringer Menge enthalten ist, so daß die
Umweltbelastung hierdurch äußerst geringfügig ist im Vergleich zu dem kurzfristig
nicht abbaubaren Vaselinen oder Mischungen aus Paraffinen und
Kohlenwasserstoffwachsen.
Die Erfindung wird im Folgenden anhand der Beispiele näher erläutert:
4 Gewichtsprozent Aluminiumstearat wird bei etwa 140°C in 66
Gewichtsprozent Sojaöl gequollen. Nach Bildung einer homogenen Mischung
wird die Temperatur reduziert und es werden 30 Gewichtsprozent Bienenwachs
gelöst und die Mischung bis zur Erkaltung gerührt.
6 Gewichtsprozent Aluminiumstearat, 74 Gewichtsprozent Sojaöl und 20
Gewichtsprozent Bienenwachs werden wie in Beispiel 1 beschrieben verarbeitet.
Die Mischung entsprechend Beispiel 2 wird mit 74 Gewichtsprozent
Sonnenblumenöl hergestellt.
Die Mischung entsprechend Beispiel 2 wird mit 6 Gewichtsprozent
Magnesiumstearat hergestellt.
76 Gewichtsprozent Erdnußöl und 4 Gewichtsprozent Aluminiumstearat werden
wie in Beispiel 2 beschrieben mit 20 Gewichtsprozent Japanwachs verarbeitet.
Claims (11)
1. Biologisch weitgehend abbaubare hydrophobe Salbengrundlage,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie, bezogen auf 100 Gewichtsprozent,
einen Gehalt an etwa 60-80 Gewichtsprozent eines pflanzlichen Öles,
etwa 3 bis 5 Gewichtsprozent einer Metallseife und ein pflanzliches
und/oder tierisches Wachs enthält.
2. Salbengrundlage nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das
pflanzliche Öl bis zu 60% ungesättigte Fettsäuren enthält.
3. Salbengrundlage nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß sie Sojaöl enthält.
4. Salbengrundlage nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß sie Sonnenblumenöl enthält.
5. Salbengrundlage nach Anspruch 1 bis 4, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
sie die Aluminium-, Kalzium- oder Magnesiumseifen höherer
Fettsäuren enthält.
6. Salbengrundlage nach Anspruch 1 bis 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
sie Aluminiumstearat enthält.
7. Salbengrundlage nach Anspruch 1 bis 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
sie Bienenwachs, Schellackwachs, Candelilla-, Carnaubawachs,
Japanwachs, Espartograswachs, Korkwachs, Guaramawachs,
Zuckerrohrwachs und/oder Ouricurywachs enthält.
8. Salbengrundlage nach Anspruch 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
sie 65-75 Gewichtsprozent eines pflanzlichen Öles, 4
Gewichtsprozent einer Metallseife und 21 bis 31 Gewichtsprozent
eines Wachses enthält.
9. Salbengrundlage nach Anspruch 1 bis 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
sie 65 bis 75 Gewichtsprozent Sojaöl, 4 Gewichtsprozent
Aluminiumstearat und 21 bis 31 Gewichtsprozent Bienenwachs
enthält.
10. Salbengrundlage nach Anspruch 1 bis 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
sie Antioxidantien in üblichen Mengen enthält.
11. Verwendung der Salbengrundlage nach Anspruch 1 bis 10 für
industrielle Zwecke.
