Description

Die Erfindung betrifft einen schalenförmig offenen oder geschlossenen Behälter für die Aufnahme von flüssigkeitsabgebenden Lebensmitteln, bestehend aus geschäumtem Polystyrol mit einer flüssigkeitsabtrennenden Einlage aus Polystyrol. - Die Einlage soll Flüssigkeiten abtrennen, die aus den Lebensmitteln od. dgl. ausläuft oder auslaufen könnte. Das gilt insbesondere für Fleisch.
Polystyrol (Polyphenyläthylen, Polyvinylbenzol) bezeichnet einen durch Polymerisation von Styrol durch Wärme oder mit Peroxidkatalysatoren hergestellten hochmolekularen Stoff der allgemeinen Formel (-CH2-CH(C6H5)-)n. Im Rahmen der Erfindung bezeichnet der Ausdruck Polystyrol-Ausgangsmischung aber auch Mischungen oder Legierungen des Polystyrol mit anderen Stoffen. Durch Substanzpolymerisation hergestellte Produkte aus Polystyrol sind farblose, klare thermoplastische Kunststoffe, die in großem Umfange zur Herstellung von Haushaltsartikeln verwendet werden. Große Bedeutung haben auch die Copolymerisate des Styrol mit Acrylnitril und/oder Butadien bzw. die Pfropfpolymerisate, bei denen man Styrol unter Zugabe von natürlichem oder synthetischem Kautschuk polymerisiert. All diese Stoffe können erfindungsgemäß eingesetzt werden, und zwar geschäumt und ungeschäumt.
Bei einem gattungsgemäßen Behälter (DE-GM 19 94 362) ist die Einlage eine Folienplatte mit Löchern versehen. Da die Einlage auch aus Polystyrol besteht, können gebrauchte Behälter zur Wiederverwendung des Polystyrols rezirkuliert werden. Allerdings ist keine Saugfähigkeit der Einlage gegeben.
Aufgabe der Erfindung ist es deshalb, bei einem gattungsgemäßen Behälter die flüssigkeitsabtrennende Wirkung der Einlage weiter zu steigern.
Diese Aufgabe wird dadurch gelöst, daß die Polystyrol-Einlage als saugendes Faservlies ausgebildet ist.
Überraschenderweise kann ein Faservlies auch aus Polystyrol hergestellt werden, was bisher übersehen wurde. Nach bevorzugter Ausführungsform der Erfindung ist das Faservlies aus Fasern aus geschäumtem Polystyrol aufgebaut. Das Faservlies kann aber auch aus Fasern aus ungeschäumtem Polystyrol aufgebaut sein. Die Einlage deckt bei einem erfindungsgemäßen Behälter die gesamte Innenwand des Behälters ab und ist adhäsiv mit dem Behälter verbunden, die Anordnung läßt sich aber auch so treffen, daß die Anlage lediglich den Boden des Behälters abdeckt, sie ist dann zweckmäßigerweise mit dem Boden adhäsiv verbunden. Bei der adhäsiven Verbindung kann es sich um eine Schweißverbindung handeln, die durch Anwendung von Druck und Wärme, ohne Klebstoff, hergestellt worden ist.
Bei dem erfindungsgemäßen Behälter kann das Faservlies aus Stapelfasern aufgebaut oder nach dem Melt-Blown-Verfahren hergestellt sein. Es kann aber auch aus Monofilamenten bestehen.
Im folgenden wird die Erfindung anhand einer lediglich ein Ausführungsbeispiel darstellenden Zeichnung ausführlicher erläutert. Es zeigen
Fig. 1 einen Querschnitt durch einen erfindungsgemäßen Behälter,
Fig. 2 in gegenüber der Fig. 1 wesentlich vergrößertem Maßstab den Ausschnitt A aus dem Gegenstand nach Fig. 1.
Der in den Figuren dargestellte Behälter ist für die Aufnahme von Lebensmitteln od. dgl. bestimmt. Er besteht aus geschäumtem Polystyrol 1 und besitzt eine saugende Einlage 2 aus einem Faservlies. Auch das Faservlies, d.h. die einzelnen Fasern 3 im Faservlies, bestehen aus Polystyrol. Es kann sich um geschäumte oder ungeschäumte Fasern handeln.

Claims (5)

1. Schalenförmig offener oder geschlossener Behälter für die Aufnahme von flüssigkeitsabgebenden Lebensmitteln, bestehend aus geschäumtem Polystyrol mit einer flüssigkeitsabtrennenden Einlage aus Polystyrol, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Polystyrol-Einlage (2) als saugendes Faservlies ausgebildet ist.
2. Behälter nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Faservlies aus Fasern (3) aus geschäumtem Polystyrol aufgebaut ist.
3. Behälter nach Anspruch 1, wobei das Faservlies aus Fasern (3) aus ungeschäumtem Polystyrol aufgebaut ist.
4. Behälter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, wobei die Einlage (2) die gesamte Wand des Behälters (1) abdeckt und adhäsiv mit dem Behälter (1) verbunden ist.
5. Behälter nach einem der Ansprüche 1 bis 3, wobei die Einlage (2) den Boden des Behälters (1) abdeckt und adhäsiv mit dem Boden verbunden ist.
