Abstract

A steam cooker comprises a closed chamber with a fan-turbine wheel (6-8) and a heater (10) around the edge of the wheel. A water feed line feeds water in pressure-free fashion to the hub (6) such that the rotating wheel distributes the water, which is then further divided by the turbine blades. Water feed is continuous. The blades are pref. rotated in such a direction as to produce a reduced air feed compared with the other direction.
