Description
- Gegen Zerstörung durch Lichteinwirkung stabilisierte Polyolefinzubereitung Die Erfindung bezieht sich auf eine Stabilisierung von Polyolefinen gegenüber Licht durch Verwendung bestimmter O,O-Bis(aryl)amidothiophosphate allein oder in Kombination mit einem 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon, sowie auf bestinunte neue O,O-Bis(phenyl)amidothiophosphate.
- Es ist bekannt, daß Polyolefine, wie Polypropylen oder Polyäthylen, gern durch Einwirkung von Licht, insbesondere -Ultraviolettlicht, nachteilig beeinflußt werden. Diese Beeinflussung äußert sich im allgemeinen in einer Zugfestigkeits- sowie Flexibilitätsabnahme des Polymers.
- Erfindungsgemäß wurde nun gefunden, daß bestimmte O,O-Bis-(aryl)amidothiophosphate allein oder in Kombination mit einem 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon einen derartigen Abbau stark verzögern oder inhibieren können.
- Die erfindungsgemäß geeigneten O,O-Bis(aryl)amidothiophosphate haben die allgemeine Formel worin R für Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Halogen steht, Aw Phenyl oder Naphthyl bedeutet, n für 1 oder 2 steht und R' sowie R" gleich oder verschieden sein können und Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit 1 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen, 2,2,6, 6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidyl oder Cycloalkyl mit 5 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten oder zusammen mit dem Stickstoffatom, an das sie gebunden sind, für einen Morpholino- oder Piperidinoring stehen.
- Innerhalb dieser Klasse von Verbindungen werden aufgrund ihrer besseren Lichtstabilisierung bei Polyolefinen die Verbindungen der Formel bevorzugt, worin R Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Halogen bedeutet, R' sowie R" gleich oder verschieden sind und für Wasserstoff, Cyclohexyl oder 2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidyl stehen. Wegen ihrer besonders günstigen lichtstabilisierenden Wirkung bei Polyolefinen werden insbesondere die neuen Verbindungen der Formel bevorzugt, worin R Alkyl mit 1 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Halogen bedeutet, R' für Cyclohexyl oder 2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidyl steht und R" Wasserstoff oder der Substituent R' ist.
- Als eine breite Klasse sind die Amidophosphate bekannte Verbindungen, und es wird hierzu beispielsweise auf US-PS 3 100 197, 3 309 317 sowie 3 531 55Q, GB-PS 941 575 und 1 039 924 sowie Kosolapoff, "Organophosphorus Compounds" (1950) Seiten 278 - 324 verwiesen. Diese breite Klasse von Amidophosphaten läßt sich durch folgende Formel angeben: worin Q, Qt und Q" Wasserstoff oder organische Reste bedeuten, n für 1, 2 oder 3 steht und X Sauerstoff oder Schwefel bedeutet. Erfindungsgemäß wurde nun gefunden, daß nur ein sehr kleines Segment aus dieser breiten Klasse Verbindungen enthält, die sich allein oder in Kombination mit einem 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzphenon zur Stabilisierung von Polyolefinen gegenüber Zerstörung durch Licht verwenden lassen. Die Verbindungen dieses kleines Segments, die die oben angegebenen Formeln I, II und III haben, verfügen über bestimmte gemeinsame Strukturmerkmale. Erstens muß das Symbol X der obigen Formel IV für Schwefel stehen. Verbindungen, bei denen X Sauerstoff bedeutet, sind weit schlechtere oder sogar ungeeignete Lichtstabilisatoren für Polyolefine. Zweitens muß bei obiger Formel IV der Index n für die Zahl 1 stehen. Die Diamide sowie Triamide sind weit schlechtere Lichtstabilisatoren bei Polyolefinen. Drittens sollte das Symbol Q bei obiger Formel IV ein aromatischer Rest sein, und die Symbole Q' sowie Q" sollten keine aromatischen Reste bedeuten, da Verbindungen, bei denen Q für einen aliphatischen Rest steht, und Verbindungen, bei denen Q' oder " einen aromatischen Rest bedeutet, weit schlechter wirken.
- Die Verbindungen der oben erwähnten Formel IV lassen sich auf verschiedenen Wegen herstellen. Ein Herstellungsverfahren ist in US-PS 3 531 550 (Spalten 3 und 4) beschrieben. Zur Herstellung der Verbindungen der oben genannten Formeln I, II oder III kann man das entsprechende Phenol mit Thiophosphorylchlorid in Gegenwart eines Chlorwasserstoffakzeptors oder einer Base umsetzen, wodurch man ein Zwischenprodukt erhält, das dann mit dem geeigneten Amin zum gewünschten O,O-Bis(aryl)amidothiophosphat umgesetzt wird. Die Umsetzung verläuft nach folgendem Reaktionsschema:
g 3 Base ~~~P511-Cl + 2HCl (A) Rn n - Geeignete Amine sind beispielsweise Ammoniak, Methylamin, Äthylamin, Butylamine, Hexylamine, Octylamine, Dodecylamine, Octadecylamine, Cyclopentylamin, Cyclohexylamin, 4-Amino-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin, Morpholin Piperidin, Dimethylamin, Dibutylamine, Dioctylamine, Methylbutylamin, Methylcyclohexylamin, Dicyclohexylamin und dergleichen.
- Die Verbindungen der oben erwähnten Formeln I, II und III hemmen den durch Lichteinwirkung hervorgerufenen Abbau ziemlich stark, wenn man sie allein in Polyolefine einarbeitet.
- Diese Wirkung läßt sich stark erhöhen, wenn man in das Olefin gleichzeitig ein 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon, ein 2-(2'-Hydroxyphenyl)benzotriazol, ein Nitroxid, ein Tetramethylenpiperidinderivat oder ein 3,5-Di-tert.-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoat einarbeitet. Beispiele solcher, die Wirkung verbessernder Verbindungen sind in US-PS 3 189 615, 3 206 431, 3 230 194, 3 431 232, 3 431 233, 3 436 369, 3 448 074, 3 474 068 und -3 640 928 erwähnt.
- Falls es alleine oder in Kombination mit einem 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon verwendet wird, dann arbeitet man das O,O-Bis(aryl)amidothiophosphat normalerweise in das Polyolefin in einer Konzentration von 0,1 bis 2 Gewichtsprozent, vorzugsweise in einer-Konzentration von 0,2 bis 0,5 Gewichtsprozent, bezogen auf das Polyolefin, ein. Bei gleichzeitiger Verwendung eines die Wirkung dieser Substanz erhöhenden Mittels der oben angegebenen Art kann'das Verhältnis des O,O-Bis(aryl)amidothiophosphats zu dem 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon zwischen 10/1 und 1/10 liegen, normalerweise wird jedoch ein Verhältnis von etwa 1 : 1 bevorzugt.
- Eine weitere Wirkungsverbesserung läßt sich oftmals erreichen, wenn man das O,O-Bis(aryl)amidothiophosphat oder Kombinationen hieraus mit dem 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon zusammen mit einem Phosphit verwendet, beispielsweise einem cyclischen Phosphit der in US-PS 3 205 250 beschriebenen Art, und zwar insbesondere Distearylpentaerythritdiphosphit, Tri(p-nonylphenyl)phosphit, Alkylphosphiten, wie Dioctylphosphit oder Tridecylphosphit, Alkylarylphosphiten, wie Phenyldodecylphosphit, Azyl-o-phenylenphosphiten, wie Phenyl- oder 4-Methyl-2,6-di-t-butylphenyl-O-phenylenphosphit und dergleichen. Andere Zusätze, wie . Verarbeitungsantioxydantien, Sekundärstabilisatoren, wie Dilauryl- oder Distearylthiodipropionat, Pigmente, Farbstoffe, flammhemmende Mittel, Schmiermittel und dergleichen, lassen sich ebenfalls in das Polyolefin zur Erreichung des ihnen normalerweise zukommenden Zweckes einarbeiten.
- Die Erfindung wird anhand der folgenden Beispiele näher erläutert.
- Beispiel 1 O,O-Bis(p-tert.-butylphenyl)-N-cyclohexylamidothiophosphat Eine Lösung von Cyclohexylamin (20 g, 0,2 Mol) in 10 ml Dimethylformamid und 50 ml Benzol wird bei 50 bis 60 °C tropfenweise unter Rühren mit einer Lösung von O,0-Bis(p-tert.-butylphenyl)chlorthiophosphat (20 g, 0,05 Mol) in 100 ml Benzol versetzt. Das Gemisch wird 8 Stunden zum Rückfluß erhitzt, gekühlt und filtriert. Das Filtrat wird unter vermindertem Druck eingedampft, und das zurückbleibende öl behandelt man mit kaltem Methanol. Der entstandene Feststoff wird abfiltriert und zweimal aus Methanol umkristallisiert, wodurch man 17,6 g Produkt erhält, das bei 107 bis 109 °C schmilzt.
- Beispiel 2 Untersuchung an Polypropylen Die gemäß Beispiel 1 erhaltene Verbindung (0,5 Gewichtsprozent) wird mit einer Stammischung aus unstabilisiertem Polypropylen (Profax 6401) und 0,2 Gewichtsprozent eines Verarbeitungsantioxydationsmittels, nämlich 2,4 ,6-Tri-tert.-butylphenol, trocken vermischt. Das Gemisch vermahlt man 5 Minuten bei 177 bis 188 OC, und die vermahlene Probe wird bei 204 0c zu einem 102 bis 127 Mikron (4 - 5 mil) starken Film preßverformt. Den preßverformten Film und ein in gleicher Weise hergestellten Vergleichsfilm, der jedoch keine Verbindung gemäß Beispiel 1 enthält, behandelt man jeweils bis zum Versagen in einem Xenon -Weather-O-Meter (Atlas). Die Proben werden als Versager angesehen, sobald der Carbonylgehalt im Infrarotspektrum bei 0,1 % angelangt ist, was ein zur Untersuchung des Brüchigwerdens eines Films allgemein anerkannter Punkt ist. Die Testprobe hält 1625 Stunden stand.
- Analog Beispiel 1 und unter Verwendung der entsprechenden Amine sowie O,O-Bis(phenyl)chlorthiophosphate werden weitere Verbindungen hergestellt und wie in Beispiel 2 untersucht.
- Die Verbindungen und die bei deren Untersuchung erhaltenen Ergebnisse sind im folgenden beschrieben.
- Beispiel 3 Dicyclohexylamin wird mit O,0-Bis(p-tert.-butylphenyl)-chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man O,O-Bis(p-tert.-butylphenyl) -N,N-dicyclohexylamidothiophosphat erhält, das einen Schmelzpunkt von 208 bis 212 OC hat und eine Stabilität im Propylentest von 1125 Stunden ergibt.
- Beispiel 4 Cyclohexylamin wird mit O,O-Bis(p-methylphenyl)chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man O,0-Bis(p-methylphenyl)-N-cyclohexylamidothiophosphat erhält, das eine Flüssigkeit darstellt, die bei der Untersuchung eine Stabilität von 925 Stunden ergibt.
- Beispiel 5 Cyclohexylamin wird mit O,O-Bis(p-chlorphenyl)chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man O,O-Bis(p-chlorphenyl)-N-cyclohexylamidothiophosphat erhält, das bei 65 bis 67 OC schmilzt, und diese Verbindung führt im Stabilitätstest zu einer Zeitdauer von 1225 Stunden.
- Beispiel 6 Cyclohexylamin wird mit O,O-Bis (p-tert. -octylphenyl) chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man O,O-Bis(p-tert.-octylphenyl)-N-cyclohexylamidothiophosphat erhält, das bei 80 bis 82 °C schmilzt und bei der Untersuchung eine Stabilitätsdauer von 725 Stunden ergibt.
- Beispiel 7 Cyclohexylamin wird mit 0,0-Bis (2, 4-di-tert . -butylphenyl) -chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man O,O-Bis(2 ,4-di-tert.-butylphenyl)-N-cyclohexylamidothiophosphat erhält, das bei 167 bis 168 0C schmilzt und beim Stabilitätstest eine Zeitdauer von 974 Stunden ergibt.
- Beispiel 8 Cyclohexylamin wird mit O,O-Bis(phenyl)chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man O,O-Bis(phenyl) -N-cyclohexylamidothiophosphat erhält, das bei 76 bis 77 °C schmilzt und beim Stabilitätstest eine Zeitdauer von 1035 Stunden ergibt.
- B e i s p i e l 9 4-Amino-2,2,6,6-tetramethylpiperidin wird mit 0,0-Bis(p-tert.-butylphenyl) chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man 0, 0-Bis (ptert.-butylphenyl)-N-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)amidothiophosphat erhält, das bei 131 bis 1-33 °C schmilzt und beim-Stabilitätstest eine Zeitdauer von 1225 Stunden ergibt.
- B e i s- p i e 1 10 Morpholin wird mit 0,0-Bis(p-tert. -butylphenyl)chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man 0,0-Bis(p-tert. -butylphenyl)-N-oxydiäthylenamidothiophosphat erhält, das bei 11-0 bis 112 °C schmilzt und beim Stabilitätstest eine Zeitdauer von 975 Stunden ergibt.
- B e i s p 1 e 1 11 Ammoniak wird mit 0,0-Bis(p-tert.-butylphenyl)chlorthiophoshat umgesetzt, wodurch man 0,0-Bis(p-tert. -butylphenyl)amidothiophosphat erhält, das bei, 128 bis 129 0C schmilzt und beim Stabilitätstest eine Zeitdauer von 1025 Stunden ergibt.
- B e i s p i e 1 12 Di-n-butylamin wird mit 0,0-Bis(p-tert. -butylphenyl)chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man 0,0-Bis(p-tert. -butylphenyl)-N,N-di-n-butylamidothiophosphat erhält, das eine Flüssig ist und beim Stabilitätstest eine Zeitdauer von 725 Stunden ergibt.
- B e i s p i e 1 13 N-Butylamin wird mit 0,0-Bis(p-tert. -butylphenyl)chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man O,O-Bis (p-tert.-butylphenyl) -N-n-hutylemidothiophosphat erhält, das bei 78 bis 80 0C schmilzt und beim Stabilitätstest eine Zeitdauer von 975 Stunden ergibt.
- B e i s p i e 1 14 Tert.-Butylamin wird mit C,O-Bis (p-tert. -butylphenyl) chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man O,O-Bis(p-tert.-butylphenyl)-N-tert. -butylamidothiophosphat erhält, das bei 75 bis 77°C achmilzt und im Stabilitätstest eine Zeitdauer von 875 Stunden ergibt.
- B e i s p i e 1 15 n-Octylamin wird mit 0,0-Bis(p-tert. -butylphenyl)chlorthiophosphat umgesetzt, wodurch man 0,0-Bis(p-tert. -butylphenyl)-N-n-octylamidothiophosphat erhält, das bei 33 bis 37 oC schmilzt und beim Stabilitätstest eine Zeitdauer von 875 Stunden ergibt.
- B e i s p i e 1 16 Nach der in Beispiel 2 beschriebenen Arbeitsweise werden Filme hergestellt, die 0,25 % einer Verbindung der vorhergehenden Beispiele in Kombination mit 0,25 % 2-Hydroxy-4-octyloxybenzophenon (Cyasorb UV-531) enthalten. Die Untersuchung der so ehaltenen Proben führt zu folgenden Ergebnissen: Verbindung von Beispiel Stunden bis zum Versagen 1 2200 3 3000 7 2200 8 2100 10 2100 13 2000 15 2200 Eine Vergleichsprobe ohne irgendeinen Zusatz ist im Stabilitätstest nur 500 Stunden stabil, und ein Film, der 0,5 % 2-Hydroxy-5-octyloxybenzophenon ohne irgendwelches Amidothiophosphat enthält, ergibt im Stabilitätstest nur eine Zeitdauer von 1700 Stunden.
Claims (26)
1. Gegen Zerstörung durch Lichteinwirkung stabilisierte Polyolefinzubereitung,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß in ihr eine wirksame Menge eines Stabilisators der Formel
eingearbeitet ist, worin R für Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen
oder Halogen steht, Ar Phenyl oder Naphthyl bedeutet, n für 1 oder 2 steht und R'
sowie R" Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit 1 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen, 2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidyl
oder Cycloalkyl mit 5 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten oder zusammen mit dem Stickstoffatom,
an das sie gebunden sind, für einen Morpholino- oder Piperidinoring stehen.
2. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß das Polyolefin
Polypropylen oder Polyäthylen ist.
3. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie ferner
ein 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon in einer die Wirkung des genannten Stabilisators
erhöhenden Menge enthält.
4. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 1 und 3, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
sie als 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon 2-Hydroxy-4-octyloxybenzophenon enthält.
5. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als
Stahilisator O,O-Bis(p-tert.-bùtylphenyl)-N,N-dicyclohexylamidothiophosphat enthält
6. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Stabilisator die
Formel
hat, worin R Wasserstoff, Alkyl-mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Halogen bedeutet
und R' sowie R§' für Wasserstoff, 2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidyl oder Cyclohexyl
stehen.
7. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie ferner
ein 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon in einer die Wirkung des genannten Stabilisators
erhöhenden Menge enthält.
8. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als
2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon 2-Hydroxy-4-octyloxybenzophenon enthält.
9. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 8, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als
Stabilisator O,O-Bis(p-tert.-butylphenyl)-N-cycloh'exylamidothiophosphat enthält.
10. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 6 und 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
sie als 2-Hydro.xy-4-alkoxvbenzophenon 2-Hydroxy-4-octyloxybenzophenon und als Stabilisator
0,0-Bis (p-tert . -butylphenyl)-N,N-dicyclohexylamidothiophosphat enthält.
11. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 7, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als
Stabilisator 0,0-Bis(phenyl)-N-cyclohexylamidothiophosphat enthält.
12. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als
Stabilisator O,O-BFs(p-chlorphenyl)-N-cyclohexylamidothiophosphat enthält.
13. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie als
Stabilisator O,O-Bis(p-methylphenyl)-N-cyclohexylamidothiophosphat enthält.
14. Zubereitung nach Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Substituent
R für Alkyl mit 1 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Halogen steht, R' Cyclohexyl oder
2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidyl bedeutet und der Substituent R" für Wasserstoff
steht oder dem Substituenten R' entspricht.
½) Verbindung der Formel
worin R für Alkyl mit 1 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Halogen steht,
R1 Cyclohexyl oder 2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidyl bedeutet und der Substituent
R" Wasserstoff ist oder dem Substituenten R' entspricht.
16. Verbindung nach Anspruch 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß R für
tert.-Butyl steht, R' Cyclohexyl bedeutet und R" für Wasserstoff oder Cyclohexyl
steht.
17. Verbindung nach Anspruch 15, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß R für
Chlor, Methyl oder tert.-Butyl steht, R' Cyclohexyl ist und R" Wasserstoff bedeutet.
18. 0,0-Bis(p-tert.-butylphenyl)-N-(2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-4-piperidyl)amidothiophosphat
nach Anspruch 15.
19. O,O-Bis(p-tert.-butylphenyl)-N-cyclohexylamidothiophosphat nach
Anspruch 15.
20. Stabilisatorzubereitung zur Stabilisierung von Polyolefinen gegenüber
der Zersetzung durch Licht, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sie eine Kombination aus
einem 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon und einer Verbindung der Formel
enthält, worin R für Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Halogen
steht, Ar Phenyl oder Naphthyl
bedeutet, n für 1 oder 2 steht und
R1 sowie R" Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit 1 bis 18 Kohlenstoffatomen, 2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidyl
oder Cycloalkyl mit 5 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen bedeuten oder beide Substituenten
zusammen mit dem Stickstoffatom, an das sie gebunden sind, für einen Morpholin-
oder Piperidinring stehen.
21. Stabilisatorzubereitung nach Anspruch 20, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß die zweitgenannte Verbindung die Formel
hat, worin R für Wasserstoff, Alkyl mit 1 bis 12 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Halogen
steht und R' sowie R" Wasserstoff, 2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidyl oder Cyclohexyl
bedeuten.
22. Stabilisatorzubereitung nach Anspruch 21, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß Rfür Alkyl mit 1 bis 6 Kohlenstoffatomen oder Halogen steht, R' Cyclohexyl oder
2,2,6,6-Tetramethyl-4-piperidyl bedeutet und R" für Wasserstoff steht oder dem Substituenten
R' entspricht.
23. Stabilisatorzubereitung nach Anspruch 22, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß es sich dabei um die Verbindung 0,0-Bis(p-tert.-butylphenyl)-N-cyclohexylamidothiophosphat
handelt.
24. Stabilisatorzubereitung nach Anspruch 23, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß sie als 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon 2-Hydroxy-4-octyloxybenzophenon enthält.
25. Stabilisatorzubereitung nach Anspruch 20, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß das Verhältnis aus dem 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon und der darin genannten
Verbindung zwischen 10:1 und 1:10 liegt.
26. Stabilisatorzubereitung nach Anspruch 20, dadurch gekennzeichnet,
daß sie als 2-Hydroxy-4-alkoxybenzophenon 2-Hydroxy-4-octyloxybenzophenon und als
Stabilisator O,O-Bis(ptert.-butylphenyl) -N,N-dicyclohexylamidothiophosphat enthält.
