3. Verwendung von O-Alkyl-S-alkyl-0-phenylphosphorthiolaten
gemäß Anspruch 1 zur Bekämpfung von Insekten, Akariden und Nematoden.
(ID 35 Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft neue O-Alkyl-S-alkyl-O-phenylphosphorthiolate,
ein Verfahren zu deren Herstellung und ihre Verwendung als Insektizide, Akarizide oder Nematozide.
Es ist bekannt, daß O.S-Dialkyl-O-phenylphosphorthiolate
insektizide Wirksamkeit besitzen. Ihre Wirksamkeit ist jedoch so gering, daß sie trotz ihrer im
Vergleich zu den entsprechenden 0,0-DialkyI-O-phenylphosphorthioaten
geringen Toxizität gegenüber warmblütigen Tieren bisher nicht für diesen Zweck verwendet worden sind.
So z. B. besitzt O.O-Dimethyl-CM-nitrophenylphosphorthioat
(Methylparathion) der nachstehenden Formel

starke insektizide Wirksamkeit während das entsprechende 0,S-Dimethyl-4-nitrophenylphosphorthiolat der
Formel

welches nur ein Drittel der Toxizität gegenüber warmblütigen Tieren besitzt, leider nur ein Fünftel der
Insektiziden Wirksamkeit aufweist.
Da Methylparathion sehr toxisch auf warmblütige Tiere wirkt, wurden ausgedehnte Forschungsarbeiten
angestellt, um ein neues, wirksames Insektizid zu entwickeln, welches von geringer Toxizität gegenüber
warmblütigen Tieren ist. Das Ergebnis dieser Forschungsarbeiten führte zur Entwicklung des 0,0-Dimethyl-0-(3-methyl-4-nitrophenyl)-phosphorthioats
(Handelsname: Sumithion) und des 0,0-Dimethyl-0-(3-methyl-4-methylthiophenyl)-phosphorthioats
(Handelsname: Lebaycid).
Diese Phosphorthioate sind bisher vielfach zur Bekämpfung von Insekten verwendet worden, es
ergaben sich jedoch Schwierigkeiten bei der Bekämpfung jener schädlichen Insekten, die eine Widerstandsfä-
higkeit gegenüber diesen Insektiziden erworben haben. Es bestand daher die Notwendigkeit, ein neues
Insektizid, welches auch zur Bekämpfung von widerstandsfähigen schädlichen Insekten geeignet ist, zu
entwickeln.
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft Verbindungen, welche große insektizide Wirksamkeit besitzen und
gleichzeitig weder Toxizität gegenüber warmblütigen Tieren noch Phytotoxizität aufweisen, so daß sie für die
Bekämpfung einer Vielfalt von schädlichen saugenden und stechenden Insekten, Pflanzenparasiten, gesundheitsschädlichen
Insekten und solchen, die gelagertes Getreide befallen, geeignet sind.
Die vorliegende Erfindung beruht darauf, daß überraschend gefunden wurde, daß jene O-Alkyl-S-alkyl-O-phenylphosphorthiolate,
in welchen die Alkylgruppen verschieden sind und in welchen das an das
S-Atom gebundene Alkyl n-Propyl, das andere Alkyl, Methyl oder Ethyl ist, ausgezeichnete insektizide
Wirksamkeit besitzen, und zwar eine weit größere, als es der Fall ist, wenn die beiden Alkyle die gleiche Anzahl
von Kohlenstoffatomen besitzen und wenn das an das S-Atom gebundene Alkyl weniger Kohlenstoffe aufweist
als das andere Alkyl.
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft daher asymmetrisehe

Die Reaktion zur Herstellung der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen nach dem oben angeführten Verfahren
wird vorzugsweise in Gegenwart eines Lösungs- oder
ίο Verdünnungsmittels durchgeführt Für diesen Zweck
kann jedes beliebige inerte Lösungs- oder Verdünnungsmittel eingesetzt werden.
Als Beispiele für solche Lösungs- oder Verdünnungsmittel seien Wasser, aliphatische, alicyclische und
aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe (die auch chloriert sein können) wie z. B. Hexan, Cyclohexan, Petroläther,
Ligroin, Benzol, Toluol, Xylol, Methylenchlorid, Chloroform, Kohlenstofftetrachlorid, Mono-, Di- und Trichloräthylen
und Chlorbenzol; Äther wie Diäthyläther, Methyläthyläther, Di-isopropyläther, Dibutyläther,
Äthylenoxid, Dioxan und Tetrahydrofuran; Ketone wie Aceton, Methylethylketon, Methylisobutylketon; Nitrile
wie Acetonitril, Propionitril und Acrylnitril; Alkohole wie Methanol, Äthanol, Isopropanol, Butanol und
Äthylenglycol; Ester wie Äthylacetat und Amylacetat; säureamide wie Dimethylformamid und Dimethylacetamid;
und Sulfoxide und Sulfone wie Dimethylsulfoxid und Sulfolan, genannt
Diese Verfahrensvariante kann nach Bedarf auch in Gegenwart eines Säurebindemittels durchgeführt werden.
Als Beispiele für Säurebindemittel seien Hydroxide, Carbonate, Bicarbonate und Alkoholate von Alkalimetallen
und tertiäre Amine wie z. B. Triäthylamin, Diäthylanilin und Pyridin angeführt
Nach dieser Verfahrensvariante kann die Reaktion innerhalb eines weiten Temperaturbereichs durchgeführt
werden, im allgemeinen erfolgt dies jedoch bei Temperaturen von —20° C bis zum Siedepunkt des
Reaktionsgemisches, vorzugsweise innerhalb eines Temperaturbereichs von 10 bis 100° C.

Diese Verfahrensvariante kann wie die Verfahrensvariante (a) durchgeführt werden, die erhaltenen erfindungsgemäßen
Verbindungen sind von großer Reinheit, die Ausbeute ist hoch.
Wie aus Tabelle 1 ersichtlich ist, weisen die erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen ausgezeichnete
Wirksamkeit gegen Insekten der Gattung Lepidoptera, wie z.B. die Tabaksaateule (Prodenia litura), der
Reisstengelbohrer (Chilo suppressalis) und die Raupe des Herbstspanners (Hypanthria cunea), den Kleinen
Teewickler (Adoxophyes orana), usw. auf.

Aus den in Tabelle 1 angeführten Testergebnissen geht deutlich hervor, daß die erfindungsgemäßen
Verbindungen im Vergleich zu anderen, ähnlichen Verbindungen ausgezeichnete Wirksamkeit gegen die
Insekten der Gattung Lepidoptera aufweisen.
Weiters ist aus Tabelle 2 ersichtlich, daß die erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen ausgezeichnete
Wirksamkeit gegen die Grüne Pfirsichblattlaus (Myzus persicae) und die Hopfenblatüaus Phorodon humuli)
aufweisen und ihre toxische Wirkung ebenso gering ist wie jene der handelsüblichen Produkte Sumithion und
Lebaycid. Darüber hinaus ist die insektizide Wirksamkeit der erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen gegen die
genannten Blattlausarten, weiche eine Widerstandsfähigkeit gegen die herkömmlichen Insektizide auf
Organophosphorbasis erworben haben, wesentlich größer als jene des Sumithion und Lebaycid, sie können
daher mit gutem Erfolg als landwirtschaftliche Chemikalien eingesetzt werden.

Die erfindungsgemäßen Wirkstoffe können in jede beliebige übliche Formulierung, wie z. B. Lösungen,
Emulsionen, Aufschlämmungen, Pulver, Pasten und Granulate, übergeführt werden. Die Formulierungen
können auf bekannte Weise, z. B. durch Mischen der Wirkstoffe mit Streckmitteln, d. h. flüssigen, festen oder
verflüssigten gasförmigen Verdünnungs- oder Trägermitteln, gegebenenfalls unter Verwendung von oberflächenaktiven
Mitteln, d. h. Emulgatoren und/oder Dispergiermitteln, hergestellt werden. Wird als Streckmittel
Wasser verwendet, so können z. B. auch organische Lösungsmittel als Hilfsstoffe hinzugefügt werden.
Als flüssige Verdünnungs- oder Trägermittel werden vorzugsweise aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie z. B.
Xylol, Toluol, Benzol oder Alkylnaphthalin, chlorierte aromatische oder aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie
z. B. Chlorbenzole, Chloräthylene oder Methylenchlorid, aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe, wie z. B. Cyclohexan
oder Paraffine, z. B. Erdölfraktionen, Alkohole wie Butanol oder Glycol sowie deren Äther und Ester,
Ketone wie Aceton, Methyläthylketon, Methylisobutylketon oder Cyclohexanon oder starkpolare Lösungsmittel
wie z·. B. Dimethylformamid, Dimethylsulfoxid oder Acetonitril und Wasser verwendet werden.
Unter den verflüssigten gasförmigen Verdünnungs- oder Trägermitteln sind jene Flüssigkeiten zu verstehen,
die unter normalen Bedingungen in bezug auf Temperatur und Druck gasförmig sind, z. B. Treibmittel
für Aerosole, wie halogenierts Kohlenwasserstoffe, z. B. Freon.
Als feste Verdünnungs- oder Trägermittel werden vorzugsweise die Pulver von natürlichen mineralischen
Substanzen, wie z. B. Kaoline, Tone, Talk, Kreide, Quarz, Attapulgit, Montmorillonit, oder Kieselgur, oder die
Pulver synthetischer mineralischer Substanzen wie z. B. hochdisperse Kieselsäure, Aluminiumoxid oder Silikate
verwendet
Zu den bevorzugten Beispielen für Emulgatoren gehören nichtionische und anionische Emulgatoren, wie
Polyoxyäthylenfettsäureester, Polyoxyäthylenfettalkoholäther, wie z. B. Alkylarylpolyglycoläther, Alkylsulfonate,
Alkylsulfate und Arylsulfonate. Als Beispiele für bevorzugte Dispergiermittel seien Lignin, Sulfitablaugen
und Methylzellulose genannt.
Als Formulierungen sind alle für Sprühverfahren geeigneten zu nennen, wie z. B. emulgierbare Konzentrate,
benetzbare Pulver, Tabletten, lösliche Pulver, Lösungen, öle, Stäube, Granulate, Verräucherungsmittel,
Aerosole und Pasten.
Die handelsüblichen erfindungsgemäßen Formulierungen enthalten im allgemeinen zwischen 0,1 und 95
Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 0,5 bis 90 Gew.-% Wirkstoff. Sie
können vor der tatsächlichen Anwendung verdünnt werden. Die gebrauchsfertigen Formulierungen enthalten
im allgemeinen 0,0001 bis 20 Gew.-%, vorzugsweise 0,005 -! 0 Gew.-% Wirkstoff.
Die erfindungsge ^läßen Verbindungen können auch
nach dem bekannten Ultra-Low-Volume-Verfahren,
welches Wirkstoffkonzentrationen von 95 bis zu 100% ermöglicht, eingesetzt werden.
Der Wirkstoffgehalt der Komposition und der Formulierung kann je nach deren Art und je nach
Verfahren, Zweck, Zeit und Ort der Anwendung und dem Befallsgrad variiert werden.
Die erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen können nach Bedarf auch zusammen mit anderen landwirtschaftlichen
Chemikalien, wie z. B. Insektiziden, Akariziden, Nematoziden, Antivirusmitteln, Herbiziden, Pflanzenwachstumsregulatoren,
feuchtigkeitsanziehenden Mitteln (wie z. B. organischen Phosphcrsäureestern, Carbamaten,
Dithio- (oder Thiol-)carbamaten, chlorierten Verbindungen, Dinitroverbindungen, Organoschwefel-
oder Organometallverbindungen, Antibiotika, substituierten Diphenyläthern, Aniliden, Harnstoffen, Triazinen)
und/oder Düngemitteln verwendet werden.
Die Formulierungen und gebrauchsfertigen Präparate können auf übliche Weise angewandt werden, z. B.
nach jedem beliebigen Sprühverfahren (wie dem Versprühen von Flüssigkeiten), Vernebeln, Zerstäuben,
Bestäuben, Verstreuen, Begießen, Beschütten, Verräuchern, Bodenbehandlung (wie z. B. Mischen, Besprengen,
Verdampfen, Berieseln), Oberflächenbehandlung (wie z. B. Bestreichen, Anbringen von Streifen und
Bändern), mittels Eintauchen oder in der Form von Fängern.
Die Anwendungsmenge für den Wirkstoff pro Flächeneinheit liegt im allgemeinen zwischen 3 und
lOOOg/lOa, vorzugsweise zwischen 30 und 600g/10a,
Wirkstoff.
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft daher eine insektizide, akarizide oder nematozide Komposition, die
als Wirkstoff eine erfindungsgemäße Verbindung vermischt mit einem festen oder verflüssigten gasförmigen
Verdünnungs- oder Trägermittel oder vermischt mit einem flüssigen Verdünnungs- oder Trägermittel,
das ein oberflächenaktives Mittel enthält, aufweist.
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft weiters ein Verfahren zur Bekämpfung von schädlichen Insekten,
Akariziden oder Nematoden, welches darin besieht, daß auf die Schädlinge oder deren Lebensraum eine
erfindungsgemäße Verbindung entweder allein oder in

Form einer Komposition, die als Wirkstoff eine erfindungsgemäße Verbindung vermischt mit einem
Verdünnungs- oder Trägermittel enthält, aufgebracht wird.
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft weiters ein Verfahren zum Schutz von Ackerbauprodukten vor
schädlichen Insekten, Akariziden oder Nematoden, welches darin besteht, daß auf die mit Ackerbauprodukten
bebauten Felder unmittelbar vor und/oder während des Wachstums eine erfindungsgemäße Verbindung
entweder allein oder vermischt mit einem festen oder flüssigen Verdünnungs- oder Trägermittel aufgebracht
wird.
Die vorliegende Erfindung wird an Hand der nachstehenden Formulierungsbeispiele (i)—(vi), Testbeispiele
A—E und Zubereitungsbeispiele 1—6 näher erläutert. In den Formulierungs- und Testbeispielen sind
die einzelnen erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen mit Zahlen bezeichnet, welche jenen in der auf Beispiel 6
folgenden Tabelle entsprechen.

(1 : 3) werden vermischt und zu einem Staub vermählen. Diese Formulierung kann eingesetzt werden, indem
man den Staub auf die Insekten und/oder deren Lebensraum aufbring'.

mit der genannten Menge Lösungsmittel und Emulgator vermischt Das erhaltene emulgierbare Konzentrat
wurde dann mit V/asser auf die vorgeschriebene Konzentration verdünnt
Testverfahren
Süßkartoffelblälter wurden in die Wirkstoffzubereitung, welche auf die vorgeschriebene Konzentration
verdünnt war, getaucht, dann getrocknet und in eine Petrischale von 9 cm Durchmesser gelegt. Darauf
wurden 10 Larven der Tabaksaateule in eine Schale
AO gegeben. Die Schale wurde 24 Stunden lang bei einer
Temperatur von 28° C in einer Thermostatkammer gehalten, nach Ablauf dieses Zeitraums wurde die Zahl
der toten Insekten festgestellt und die Abtötungsrate berechnet. Die Ergebnisse sind aus Tabelle A ersichtlich.

19,3 g S-n-Propyldichlorid-phosphorthioIat wurden in ·
100 ml Benzol, zu welchem eine Mischung aus 4,6 g Äthanol, 10,1 g Triäthylamin und 20 ml Benzol hinzugetropft
wurde, unter Rühren bei einer Temperatur von nicht mehr als O0C gelöst Nach beendigtem Zutropfen
wurde das Gemisch bis zum Ende der Reaktion noch 2 Stunden lang bei Raumtemperatur gerührt Dann wurde
das Reaktionsgemisch filtriert, das Filtrat wurde mittels Destillation konzentriert Der so erhaltene Rückstand
wurde unter vermindertem Druck destilliert. Es wurden 15 g S-n-Propyl-O-äthylchlorid-phosphorthiolat erhalten.
41 g Kaliumhydroxid wurden in 200 ml Wasser, zu dem 250 ml Dioxan hinzugefügt wurden, gelöst. Dann
wurden unter heftigem Rühren bei einer Temperatur von 30-400C 102 g O-Äthyl-O-(4-methylthiophenyl)thionophosphoryl-chlorid
hinzugetropft. Nach beendigtem Zutropfen wurde das Gemisch bis zur Beendigung der Reaktion eine weitere Stunde lang bei
einer Temperatur von 60° C ununterbrochen gerührt.
Dann wurden das Dioxan und Wasser unter vermindertem Druck abdestilliert, und der Rückstand
wurde wieder in Wasser gelöst. Dann wurde zu dieser Lösung Benzol hinzugefügt. Das Gemisch wurde
geschüttelt. Der wässerige Anteil wurde unter vermindertem Druck konzentriert und der Rückstand in
Aceton aufgelöst, das anorganische Salz wurde mittels Filtration ausgeschieden. Nach Abdestillieren des
Acetons wurde zum Rückstand Toluol hinzugefügt, der entstandene Niederschlag wurde mittels Filtration
abgeschieden, dabei wurden 85 g rohes Kalium 0-Äthyl-0-(4-methylthiophenyl)-S-n-propyl-phosphorthiolat
erhalten.

32,5 g des Kaliumsalzes der O-Äthyl-O-(2,4-dichlorphenyl)-thiophosphorsäure
wurden in 70 ml Alkohol, zu dem 13 g n-Propylbromid hinzugefügt wurden, gelöst Das Gemisch wurde 3 Stunden lang bei einer
Temperatur von 700C gerührt und das entstandene anorganische Salz wurde abfiltriert Nach Abdestillieren
des Alkohols wurde der Rückstand in Benzol aufgelöst und mit Wasser und l%igem Natriumcarbonat gewaschen.
Nach dem Trocknen über Na2SO4 wurde das
Benzol abdestilliert und der Rückstand unter vermindertem Druck destilliert. Es wurden 27 g O-Äthyl-0-(2,4-dichlorphenyl)-S-n-propylphosphorthiolat
erhalten.

Zutropfen wurde die Temperatur allmählich erhöht und das Gemisch weiterhin ununterbrochen 1 Stunde lang
bei einer Temperatur von 60—700C gerührt, um die
Reaktion zu Ende zu führen.
Dann wurden Dioxan und Wasser unter vermindertem Druck abdestilliert, und der Rückstand wurde in
Aceton aufgelöst, das anorganische Salz wurde abfiltriert. Nach Abdestillieren des Acetons wurden
Toluol und η-Hexan zu dem Rückstand hinzugefügt und der entstandene Niederschlag mittels Filtration ausgeschieden,
dabei wurden 75 g rohes Kalium-O-Äthyl-O-(2,4-dichlorphenyl)-thiophosphat
erhalten.

vollenden. Das Reaktionsgemisch wurde darauf mit Wasser und Benzol-verdünnt und geschüttelt. Darauf
wurde die Benzolschicht mit Wasser, l%iger Natriumcarbonatlösung und Wasser gewaschen und über
wasserfreiem Natriumsulfat getrocknet. Nach Abdestillieren des Benzols wurden 14 g gelbliches, öliges
O-Äthyl-O-(4-methylsulfinyl)-S-n-propylphosphorthiolat
mit einem Brechungsindex von n™ = 1,5496
erhalten.
