Biozide oder in bioziden Mitteln« Vor^gsw^ise werden als
Biozide oder in bioziden Mitteln diejenigen Verbindungen der Formel I verwendet, in denen Y ein Chloratom oder eine Mitrogruppe
und Z ein Wasserstoff- oder Chloratom ist.
Beispielsweise τ/erden nach vorliegender Erfindiing die folgenden

Die lt5-disubetituierteri Indazole der Formel I weisen unerwartete
mid wertvolle Eigenschaften als Fungizide, Insektizide
wie auch als selektive Herbizide auf. Bei der praktischen An-Wendung dieser 1,5-disubstituierten Indazole können sowohl die
einzelnen Verbindungen wie auch Gemische aus zwei oder mehr dieser Verbindungen eingesetzt werden.

große Anzahl von Pilzen, Pflanzen, Insekten, Erregern von
Pflanzenkrankheiten und anderer Schädlinge zur Bekämpfung bzw·
zur Einschränkung ihres Wachsturas eingesetzt werden. Während festgestellt wurde, daß jedes einzelne der substituierten Indazole
zur Bekämpfung wenigstens einer der oben genannten Gruppen von Organismen brauohbar ist, so hängt doch ihre spezielle
Wirksamkeit bei der Bekämpfung einer bestimmten Krankheit bsw.
Pflanzenart von den jeweiligen Ringsubstituenten ab. So ist beispielsweise l-Hydroxyäthyl-5~chlorindazol besonders als
selektives Herbizid wirksam, während l-Thiocyanatomethyl-5-nitroindazol
besonders als Blattfungizid und 1-Piperidinomethyl-5-cblorindazol
als Bodenfungisid wirksam sind.
Bei der Bekämpfung kann man entweder die betreffende Gegend
mit den erfindungsgemäßen Verbindungen behandeln, oder man kann die Verbindungen direkt auf die zu bekämpfenden Organismen
aufbringen, um sie zu vernichten bzw. ihr Wachstum zu verhindern.
Während man einerseits die 1,5-disubstituierten Indazole erfindungsgemäß
als solche einsetzen kann, werden sie indessen zumeist vorzugsweise in Kombination mit inerten Trägern verwendet,
wodurch einerseits eine gleichmäßige Verteilung und Dosierung der Verbindungen wie auch andererseits eine gute
Absorption durch diejenigen Organismen, deren Wachstum eingeschränkt werden soll, gewährleistet wird. Man kann die Biozide
mit den inerten Trägern entweder mischen oder sie auf ihnen

niederschlagen, so z.B. auf Fullererde, Talkum, Diatomeenerde,
hydratisiertem Calciumsilicat, Kaolin und anderen Substanzen,
wobei man trockene Mischungen erhält. Man kann aie andererseits aber auch in Wasser, gegebenenfalls unter Zusata eines
oberflächenaktiven Mittels dispergieren. Vorzugsweise werden die Biozide in Form von Lösungen oder Dispersionen in inerter
organischen Lösungsmitteln, in V/aaser oder in Mischungen iron inerten organischen Lösungsmitteln mit Wasser oder als Ölin-Wasser-Emulsionen
angewandt. In diesen Mitteln kann die Konzentration dar Biozide in weiten Grenzen schwanken, wobei
sie von einer Reihe von Faktoren abhängig ist, insbesondere \· der Art der Organismen, die bekämpft werden sollen, aber auch
von der Menge des Mittels, die zur Anwendung gelangen soll* In
allgemeinen enthält das biozide Mittel ungefähr 0,1 bis 85 Sew.-$ eines oder mehrerer der oben genannten substituierten
Indazole. Gegebenenfalls können die bioziden Mittel auch noch weitere Fungizide, wie Schwefel, Metallsalze von Dimethyldi-

thiocarbamid-/ und Metallsalzen von Äthylen-bis-(dithiooarba-
thiocarbamid-/ und Metallsalzen von Äthylen-bis-(dithiooarba-
eäuren),/
mid-/ ""' weitere Insektizide, wie. Chlordan, Benzolhexachlorid und DDT, enthalten» Ferner können die Verbindungen der Formel I Düngemitteln, wie Harnstoff, Ammoniumnitrat oder Kalisalzen, einverleibt werden.

Die Menge des anzuwendenden bioziden Mittels muß so groß sein, daß eine ausreichende Bekämpfung des Wachstums der Organismen
möglich ist. Bei der Durchführung der Bekämpfung von Pilzen mid -Insekten v/ird beispielsweise eine solche Menge eingesetzt

daß ungefähr 50 bis 10 000 Teile pro Million Wirkstoff auf den
betreffenden Ort oder die Organismen -sur Anwendung gelangen,
weil diese Kengen im allgemeinen zur Bekämpfung der Krankheiten ausreichen, ohne die Pflanzen zu schädigen. Herbizide Mittel
gelangen im allgemeinen in Mengen von 1,121 biß 22,420 kg Wirkstoff /ha zur Anwendung,
Die Beispiele erläutern die Erfindung,
Eine Mischung aus 45 g (0,296 Mol) 5-öhlorindazol, 11,1 g
(0,369 Mol) Paraformaldehyd, 200 ml Äthanol und 2,3 ml 5-^ige
wässrige Natronlauge wird 2 3/4 Stunden gekocht, dann gekühlt und filtriert. Der Feststoff wird mit Äthanol gewaschen und
getrocknet. Man erhält in 73~$iger Ausbeute 1-Hydroxymethyl-
5-chlorindazol vom P. 126 bis 126,5° C.

Zu einer Mischung aus 30,5 g (0,2 Mol) 5-Chlorindazol, 22 g
(0,2 Mol) Triäthylamin und 250 ml Benaol gibt man bei Siedetemperatur
während 45 Minuten 39,8 g (0,2 Mol) Triohlormethansulfenylchlorid
in 250 ml Benzol. Des Semisch wird-weitere
1 1/4 Stunden unter Rückfluß gekocht, dann auf Kaumtemperatur abgekühlt und filtriert. Das FiItrat .vird zweimal mit $e 100ml
Wasser gewaschen und dann wird das Benzol abgedampft. Man er-

Zu einer Misohung aus 3055 g (0,2 MoI) 5-Ohlorindazol, 20,2 g
(0,2 Mol) Triäthylamin und 300 ml Benzol gibt man bei Siedetemperatur im Laufe einer Stunde 25,5 g (0,2 Mol) Äthylthiolformiat
in 25 ml Benzol. Daa Gemisch wird weitere 3 Stunden unter Rückfluß gekocht, dann auf Raumtemperatur abgekühlt und
filtriert. Das Piltrot wird zweimal mit je 100 ml Wasser gewaschen
und dann wird das Benzol abgedampft· Das erhaltene
1-Äthylthiocarbonyl-5-öhlorindazol wird aus Petroläther umkristallisierty

Die Terfahrensprodukte der Beispiele 1 bis 30 werden zu je^
weils 100 mg in 10 ml Aceton, das 2000 ppm Sorbitantrioleat
und 5000 ppm eines Polyoxyäthylenäthers von Sorbitanmonooleat
enthält, gelöst. Die Acetonlösungen werden in je 90 ml destilliertem Wasser dispergiert, wobei diese Lösungen dann 1000 ppm
des betreffenden 1,5-disubetituierten Indazole enthaltend Stärker
verdünnte lösungen werden durch Zusatz von destilliertem Wasser erhalten,, 1 ppm = 1 Teil/Million.
Die Ij5-disubstituierten Indazole v/erden in einer Reihe von
Versuchen auf ihre selektive herbizide Wirkung untersucht* Hierbei werden Sämlinge verschiedener Pflanzenarten mit den
Lösungen, wie sie nach Beispiel 31 hergestellt werden, besprüht, und nach Ablauf von 43 Tagen wird die Wirkung festgestellt.
