Die Erfindung betrifft eine HocMrequenz-Schweißvorrichtung mit zwei Schweißelektroden, zum Verschweißen
von mindestens zwei dünnen thermoplastischen Kunststoffolien längs einer L-förmigen Schweißnaht
und eines Schweißnahtschenkels mit einem dickeren Kunststoffkantenstreifen, in einem Arbeitsgang.
Bei der Herstellung von Hüllen, etwa von Sichthüllen, die eine Heftkante aufweisen, ist es bisher
erforderlich, die Hülle in zwei getrennten Arbeitsgängen herzustellen, da sich sonst wegen der verschiedenen
Materialstärken an den zu verschweißenden Kanten unbefriedigende Schweißnähte ergeben.
Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, eine Hochfrequenz-Schweißvorrichtung zu schaffen, mit
der sich Hüllen od. dgl., die einen dickeren Kunststoffkantenstreifen aufweisen, in einem Arbeitsgang
herstellen lassen.
Die Lösung dieser Aufgabe ist im wesentlichen darin zu sehen, daß ausgehend von einer Vorrichtung
der eingangs genannten Art die Schweißelektroden L-förmig ausgebildet sind, daß der mit dem dicken
Kunststoffkantenstreifen in Berührung kommende Schenkel der einen Schweißelektrode vollständig unbedeckt
ist, daß der andere Schenkel dieser Elektrode mit einer Kautschukschicht bedeckt ist und daß beide
Schenkel der Gegenelelrtrode in an sich bekannter Weise mit einer Schicht eines wärmeisolierenden
Materials hohen Verlustfaktors bedeckt sind.
Es ist an sich bekannt, bei Hochfrequenz-Schweißvorrichtungen Pufferscbichten mit.hohem Verlustfaktor
zu verwenden. Durch eine derartige Maßnahme läßt sich jedoch die gestellte Aufgabe nicht
lösen. Erst durch die »besondere Ausbildung einer Schweißvorrichtung gemäß der Erfindung läßt sich
erreichen, daß sich sowohl die Schweißnaht der dünnen thermoplastischen Kunststoffolien unter sich als
auch die Schweißnaht der Kunststoffohen mit dem dickeren Kunststoffkantenstreifen bei gleicher
Schweißzeit gut verschweißen lassen.
Gemäß einer besonderen Ausführungsform kann die Gegenelektrode mit Preßspan oder mit in Phenolharzen
getränkten Stoffen bedeckt sein.
Gemäß einer Weiterbildung kann eine dünne Schicht aus Tetrafluoräthylen zwischen der Gegenelektrode
und dem diese bedeckenden Stoff angeordnet sein, welche zum Verschweißen der Kunststofffolien
mit dem dickeren Kantenstreifen vorgesehen ist.
Die Erfindung ist im folgenden an Hand schematischer Zeichnungen an einem Ausführungsbeispiel
ergänzend beschrieben.

Verschweißen dünner Kunststoffilme verwendet wird. Fig. 1 zeigt eine aus einem gefalteten dünnen
Kunststoffilm hergestellte Hülle 1, bei der die Unterkante 3 zusammengeschweißt und die rechte Kante 2
sowie die obere Kante 7 offen sind. An der der Kante 2 gegenüberliegenden Kante 5 sind die Kunststoffolien
zusammen mit einem dickeren Kunststoffkantenstreifen 4 verschweißt. Dieser Kantenstreifen
ist mit gestanzten Löchern versehen, um die Hülle 1 in einem Ordner od. dgl. ablegen zu können.
Fig. 2 zeigt die Anordnung und Ausbildung der Schichten und Elektroden an demjenigen Schenkel
des L-förmigen Werkzeuges, der zum Verschweißen von zwei dünnen Kunststoffilmen miteinander sowie
mit einem dickeren Kunststoffkantenstreifen vorgesehen ist. Die Schweißvorrichtung umfaßt eine feste
Elektrode (Gegenelektrode) sowie eine bewegliche Elektrode. Der Schenkel 9 der Gegenelektrode ist aus
einem elektrisch gut leitenden Material hergestellt, etwa aus Kupfer, Messing oder Aluminium, und ist
mit einem Material 10 bedeckt, welches wärmeisolierend wirkt und einen hohen Verlustfaktor aufweist,

Claims (3)
1. Hochfrequenz-Schweißvorrichtung mit zwei Schweißelektroden, zum Verschweißen von mindestens
zwei dünnen thermoplastischen Kunststoffolien längs einer L-förmigen Schweißnaht
und eines Schweißnahtschenkels mit einem dikkeren Kunststoffkantenstreifen, in einem Arbeitsgang,
dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die Schweißelektroden (8, 19; 9, 17) L-förmig ausgebildet
sind, daß der mit. dem dicken Kunststoffkantenstreifen (12) in Berührung kommende
Schenkel (8) der einen Schweißelektrode (8, 19) vollständig unbedeckt ist, daß der andere Schenkel^)
dieser Elektrode mit einer Kautschukschicht (20) bedeckt ist und daß beide Schenkel
(9, 17) der Gegenelektrode in an sich bekannter Weise mit einer Schicht (10, 18) eines wärmeisolierenden Materials hohen Verlustfaktors bedeckt
sind.
2. Hochfrequenz-Schweißvorrichtung nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß die
Gegenelektrode (9, 17) mit Preßspan oder mit in Phenolharzen getränkten Stoffen bedeckt ist.
3. Hochfrequenz-Schweißvorrichtung nach Anspruch 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß
eine dünne Schicht (11) aus Tetrafluoräthylen zwischen der Gegenelektrode (9, 17) und dem
diese bedeckenden Stoff (10) an dem Schenkel (9) angeordnet ist, der zum Verschweißen der Kunststoffolien
(13, 14) mit dem dickeren Kantenstreifen (12) vorgesehen ist.
