Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung ist die Verwendung von Halogencyanessigsäureamiden der

Die antimikrobiellen Mittel der vorliegenden Erfindung sind in wäßrigem Medium sowie in vielen
organischen Lösungsmitteln verhältnismäßig leicht Antimikrobielle Mittel
in der Xi Chlor oder Brom und X2 Wasserstoff, Chlor
oder Brom bedeutet, während Ri und R2 unabhängig
voneinander für Wasserstoff oder einen 1 bis 7 Kohlenstoffatome enthaltenden Alkylrest stehen, wobei Ri
und R2 zusammen mit dem Stickstoffatom auch ein heterocyclisches Ringsystem bilden können, als antimikrobielle
Mittel.
Geeignete Halogencyanessigsäureamide sind z. B. die folgenden Verbindungen:

4. NC — CHBr — CO — NH — CH3
5. NC —CCl2-CO —NH-CH3
6. NC-CClBr-CO-NH-CH3
7. NC-CBr2-CO-NH-CH3
8. NC — CHBr — CO — N(CHs)2
9. NC — CBr2 — CO — N(CH3)2
10. NC — CHBr — CO — NH — C3H7(iso)
11. NC — CBr2 — CO — NH — C3H7(iso)

löslich; sie hemmen das Wachstum der Mikroben und töten sie in vielen Fällen sogar ab. Infolgedessen
lassen sie sich mit hervorragendem Erfolg als Konservierungsmittel verwenden, beispielsweise für Spinnpräparationen,
für Bohrölemulsionen, für Emulsionen zur Fußbodenbehandlung und für wäßrige Bäder zur
Bearbeitung von photographischen Filmen, insbesondere auch in solchen Fällen, in denen anionaktive
oder nichtionogene oberflächenaktive Verbindungen zugegen sind. Die Halogencyanessigsäureamide der
vorliegenden Erfindung können auch erfolgreich als Desinfektionsmittel in Form wäßriger Lösungen oder
als Zusätze zu Waschflotten eingesetzt werden. Zweckmäßige Mengenverhältnisse lassen sich durch
Vorversuche leicht ermitteln; im allgemeinen erweist sich ein Zusatz von 0,05 bis 0,1%, bezogen auf das zu
konservierende oder zu desinfizierende Medium, als ausreichend.
Versetzt man z. B. eine Traubenzuckerbouillon, die 2% eines handelsüblichen anionaktiven Emulgators
auf der Grundlage von Paraffinsulfonat und 2% eines nichtionogenen Emulgators auf der Grundlage
von Nonylphenolpolyglykoläthern enthält, mit einem der oben unter 1 bis 15 angeführten Halogencyanessigsäureamide
im Verhältnis 1: 1000 und beimpft die Traubenzuckerbouillon anschließend mit Bakterien,
wie Bet. coli, Bet. proteus, Bet. pyocyaneum
und Strc. glycerinaceus, mit Schimmelpilzen, wie Aspergillus und Penicillium, sowie mit Hefen, wie
Candida albicans, so stellt man fest, daß die eingeimpften Mikroben nach 2 Wochen praktisch abgetötet
sind. Im Gegensatz dazu vermag ein handelsübliches phenolisches Konservierungsmittel, wie
p-Chlor-m-kresol, selbst bei Anwendung im Verhält-

nis 1: 400 die eingeimpften Mikroben nach 2 Wochen nicht abzutöten.
Die in den folgenden Beispielen angegebenen Teile sind Gewichtsteile.
Man bereitet ein desinfizierendes Reinigungsmittel aus 10 Teilen eines handelsüblichen oberflächenaktiven
Nonylphenolpölyglykoläthers, 10 Teilen eines handelsüblichen oberflächenaktiven Paraffinsulfonats,
5 Teilen der Verbindung
NC — CBr2 — CO — NH2
als antimikrobiellem Mittel und 75 Teilen Wasser. In wäßrigen Medien, die mit Bakterien verschiedener
Art reichlich beimpft sind, bewirkt dieses Mittel eine schnelle Keimabtötung, wie aus der folgenden
Tabelle hervorgeht, in der für verschiedene Verdünnungen die Abtötung der angeführten Bakterien in
Minuten bei 220C angegeben ist:
Bet. proteus ist dann für eine lange Zeit hervorragend konserviert.
Im Gegensatz hierzu zeigt die Emulsion, die ohne Zusatz des antimikrobiellen Mittels hergestellt ist,
bei der üblichen Verwendung bereits nach wenigen Tagen einen starken Bakterienbefall.
1000 Teile einer zur Bearbeitung von photographischen Filmen dienenden handelsüblichen wäßrigen
Lösung, die etwa 20% eines oberflächenaktiven Alkylsulfats und 2% eines oberflächenaktiven
Fettalkoholpolyäthylenglykoläthers enthält, wird mit 1 Teil der Verbindung
NC — CHBr — CO — N(CHs)2
als antimikrobiellem Mittel versetzt. Die wäßrige Lösung ist dann bereits nach 24 Stunden autosteril
und praktisch unbegrenzt haltbar, während sich in einer nicht mit dem antimikrobiellen Mittel versetzten
wäßrigen Lösung nach mehreren Wochen Lagerung schleimige Flocken von Kokken und Stäbchenbakterien gebildet haben.
Claims (1)
- Patentanspruch:
Verwendung von Halogencyanessigsäureamidender FormelXi
NC —C —CO-N20 Teile eines handelsüblichen Bohröls, das aus Weißöl und einem anionaktiven Emulgator besteht, werden mit 980 Teilen Wasser zu einer Emulsion verrührt und anschließend unter Rühren noch mit 1 Teil der VerbindungX2RiR2NC— CBr2 — CO — NH — CH3
als antimikrobiellem Mittel versetzt. Die Emulsion40 in der Xi Chlor oder Brom und X2 Wasserstoff, Chlor oder Brom bedeutet, während Ri und R2 unabhängig voneinander für Wasserstoff oder einen 1 bis 7 Kohlenstoffatome enthaltenden Alkylrest stehen, wobei Ri und Ra zusammen mit dem Stickstoffatom auch ein heterocyclisches Ringsystem bilden können, als antimikrobielle Mittel.609 578/498 5. 66 © Bundesdruckerei Berlin
