Da das Ladekabel stets am Personenkraftwagen verbleiben kann, ist eine kraftwagenseitige Ladebuchse, über welche das Ladekabel mittels eines weiteren Steckers mit der elektrischen Speichereinrichtung (Batterie) verbindbar ist, nicht erforderlich und kann entfallen. Ebenso kann eine kraftwagenseitige Steckerverriegelung entfallen. Dies hält den Bauraumbedarf der Anschlussvorrichtung besonders gering. Da keine Ladebuchse vorgesehen ist, welche sich mit Wasser füllen könnte, kann deren Abdichtung entfallen.
