Description
The invention relates to agents for the chemotherapy of plant viruses. This makes it possible to use the only insufficiently effective so-called. Classic antiviral measures, for example. Control of virus vectors, i.a. virus-transmitting aphids, selection of diseased plants and resistance breeding are to be supplemented by direct control measures.
In recent years, a larger number of preparations have been found or developed that inhibit the multiplication of plant viruses. These include analogs of purine and pyrimidine bases or of corresponding nucleosides and nucleotides, antibiotics from microorganisms or ingredients from higher plants, furthermore polyanions, substituted triazines or hydrogenated triazines, ureas and carbamates, thioureas, guanidines, certain compounds with azine structure, thiadiazoles , Oxazoles, α-benzylthio-carbonylimino compounds, lysolecithins and fractions of biogenic lipids. An overview of this is u.a. in the patent DD-PS 157662 given. However, antiphytoviral chemotherapy is still in urgent need of further development, both in terms of antiphytoviral activity and the spectrum of action. Likewise, it is necessary to have different preparations with different mechanisms of action in order to prevent the formation of preparation-resistant virus strains by successive (preparation rotation) or simultaneous application (preparation combination).
The object of the invention is to further improve the antiphytoviral chemotherapy in view of the detectable host range and the achievable antiphytoviral activities and to prevent the development of resistance. Another goal is the use of environmentally friendly biotechnological processes for the production of antiphytoviral agents from microorganisms.
The invention has for its object to find biogenic, not counting to antibiotics agents that are absorbed by the plants due to their chemical constitution and affect the virus replication in these. The object is achieved in that rhamnolipids from Pseudomonas aeruginosa are used for antiphytoviral therapy. These are characterized by being mono- or dirhamnosyl derivatives ester-linked to straight-chain fatty acids of chain length between C10 and C14.
Das umkristallisierte Dirhamnolipid schmilzt einheitlich bei 82CC.The cultivation of pseudomona aeruginosa, the isolation of the dirham nolipid and the purification are carried out according to the described methods. The surface tension of the cell-free culture filtrate is about 26-29 mN / m, the interfacial tension against hexadecane about 0.5 mN / m. The concentration during the production phase is 10 to 20 × CMC -1 , the yield of pure dirhamnolipid is between 1.5 g / l-4.0 g / l The surface tension of the pure dirhamnolipid in 0.1 M NaHCO 3 is at the critical micelle concentration 34mN / m. The recrystallized Dirhamnolipid melts uniformly at 82 C C.
B. verschiedenen Mosaikerkrankungen (Erreger: u. a. The composition according to the invention, which due to its surface-active properties appreciably increases the adhesion and wetting ability of preparations, shows a pronounced antiviral activity, in particular against economically important potato viruses, e.g. B. various mosaic diseases (pathogens: including potato X and potato A virus) and the leaf control disease of the potato (pathogen: Blattrollvirus the potato). Furthermore, various viral diseases of tomato and tobacco can be controlled. So it exerts good effect against the difficult to control tobacco mosaic virus. Also legume viruses that cause significant damage to important legumes grown for food or nutritional purposes, eg. As the multicomponent red-patch virus are inhibited by the compound of the invention. This represents a significant enlargement of the previous range of antiphytoviral preparations, which among other things makes it possible to expand the preparation rotation and thus to counteract the selection of virus strains that are resistant to certain antiphytoviral preparations. Applied together with hydrogenated triazines, the antiphytoviral effect of the agent according to the invention increases considerably.
In order to achieve sufficient protection for the practice against yield losses due to virus infestation, application rates of from 1 to 10 kg / ha are generally sufficient. The formulation and application of the compositions according to the invention can be carried out by the known and customary methods. Thus, the active ingredient can be mixed with inert diluents and suitable formulating agents and processed into wettable powders, pastes, emulsion concentrates, etc. Since the di- or monorhamnolipid according to the invention exerts surfactant and adhesive action, however, corresponding additives are unnecessary.
. ' . · ·It has proved to be advantageous if the active ingredient content accounts for 10 to 90% of the agent. The agents can be dispersed before use with water to spray and applied with the usual spraying, spraying and fogging equipment. , '. · ·
B. in 0,05-0,1 M NaHCO3.For the identification of the antiphytoviralen effects of the compound (s) according to the invention was mainly Dirhamnolipid technical grade use, which has been obtained by the specified methods. There are still traces (<1%) of activated carbon. The substance is readily soluble in water at a weakly alkaline pH (pH 7-pH 8), eg. In 0.05-0.1 M NaHCO 3 .
Die Prüfungsergebnisse sind neben den Prozentwerten mit den üblichen Signifikanzsymbolen wiedergegeben:The rhamnolipid according to the invention was sprayed on the shoots to drip point 2 days before and 2 and 7 days after the inoculation of tobacco plants (Nicotiana tabacum, Samsun 'L.) with potato X virus at different concentrations, respectively, using a fine hair brush , Due to the good surface-active properties, the addition of wetting agents or adhesives was unnecessary. The virus concentration reached in the individual parts of pfiele was at appropriate time serologically in the precipitate drop test, each plant separated, determined in 8 to 1 öfacher repetition. From the individual values obtained, the average values were calculated and compared with the average values (averages) of the controls. In the following list of results, the reduction in virus concentration found in the rhamnolipid-treated plant parts is given as a percentage of the respective control. The higher the percentages, the stronger the antiphytoviral effect. All necessary manipulations and offsetting are available from G. Schuster (Archiv Phytopath and Pflanzenschutz 13, 1977, 231-241) as well as e.g. in the patent DD-PS 157664 described in detail. The significance of the differences in the virus concentration expressed in the form of relative values was tested by means of the t-test according to Student (one-sided question). The test results are shown next to the percentages with the usual significance symbols:
: p>5%: p> 5%

The results table indicates that the antiphytoviral preparation inhibits potato X virus in a concentration-dependent manner in both the inoculated and secondary infected leaves. For influencing the virus multiplication in the secondary infected leaf slightly higher concentrations are required than for influencing the virus multiplication in the inoculated leaf. Similar to the potato X virus react numerous other potato viruses, so that the findings with little deviations z. B. are also valid for the potato S, A and Y virus and the leaf roll virus.
The rhamnolipid according to the invention was applied to the leaves of this plant 2 days before and 2 days after the inoculation of farmed tobacco (Nicotiana glutinosa L.) with the tobacco mosaic virus (TMV). On Nicotiana glutinosa, the TMV forms local, necrotic spots around the sites of infection, so-called local lesions, on whose surroundings virus spread is restricted. Their number gives information about the number of foci of infection. The more this is reduced, the more heavily a drug has affected the infection with the very difficult to control virus.

The results table shows that the antiphytoviral rhamnoiipid of microbial origin according to the invention, after inoculation of the tobacco mosaic virus, also considerably and highly significantly reduces the foci of infection of this virus, which is difficult to control, in the tested application rates.
Erbsenpflanzen (Pisum sativum convar. speciosum Dierb.Alef,Nadja') waren 10 bzw. Alef, Nadja ') were 10 and 12 days after sowing, respectively, when the first leaflet had fully developed, one day before and one day after inoculation with red-patch virus (= RCMV = red clover mottle virus) in each case 3 times with rhamnolipid solution to drip wet sprayed. The virus content was determined 9 days after the inoculation both serologically in the ring test (Kluge, S., Marcinka, K .: Acta viral 23, 1979, 148-152) and in the local lesion test on Phaseolus vulgaris L., Alfa '.

The results table shows that 2% solutions of the rhamnolipid according to the invention also significantly reduce the replication of the RCMV.
Umgekehrt erhöht das erfindungsgemäße Mittel, insbesondere durch Steigerung der Haft- und Benetzungsfähigkeit der Präparation, auch die antiphytovirale Wirkung der hydrierten TriazineUsing the test methodology described in Example 1, it has been demonstrated that the antiphytoviral activities of the rhamnolipid of the present invention are increased considerably by simultaneous = combined) application along with very low levels of 2,4-dioxohexahydro-1,3,5-triazine or other hydrogenated triazines can be. Conversely, the agent according to the invention, in particular by increasing the adhesion and wetting ability of the preparation, also increases the antiphytoviral action of the hydrogenated triazines
