Abstract

Esta invención comprende la zeolita USY preparada al tratar una zeolita USY bajo condiciones hidrotérmicas después de formar la zeolita USY del tratamiento con calor de zeolita Y intercambiada con amonio, por ejemplo, mediante calcinación. Cuando se utiliza esta invención en un catalizador FCC, se observa una mejora significativa de la actividad y la selectividad en la realización de craqueo catalítico fluido (FCC), comparado con catalizadores FCC que contiene la zeolita convencional USY. El proceso utilizado para hacer la invención es eficiente y comprende tratar la zeolita USY en un baño de intercambio bajo las condiciones hidrotérmicas mencionadas anteriormente. La superficie de la zeolita USY resultante tiene una relación molar de alúmina a sílice que es mayor que aquella vista en la zeolita USY en volumen y tiene una estructura única como se ve por SEM y TEM.
