Abstract
Un aparato (10) para formar una corriente de vidrio de envoltura que tiene un vidrio de núcleo interno rodeado por un vidrio de envoltura exterior, dicho aparato que incluye medios (14 a 20) para suministrar vidrio de núcleo desde una primera fuente (12) a través de un primer orificio (24), medios (26) para formar un segundo orificio verticalmente espaciado debajo y alineado con dicho primer orificio con una cámara (30) que rodea dicho segundo orificio y comunica con dicho segundo orificio a través de un intersticio entre dichos primer y segundo orificios, y medios (32 a 38) para suministrar vidrio de envoltura desde una segunda fuente (40) a dicha cámara (30) en forma tal que el vidrio fluye por gravedad desde dichas primera y segunda fuentes a través de dichos orificios para formar dicha corriente de vidrio de envoltura, caracterizado porque los dichos medios para suministrar vidrio de envoltura comprenden adicionalmente: medios (68, 70) para medir la rata de flujo de vidrio dentro de la dicha segunda fuente (40), medios (76) para comparar dicha rata de flujo a una deseada rata o caudal de flujo, y medios (48 a 64) para ajustar automáticamente la rata o caudal de vidrio de envoltura desde la dicha segunda fuente hacia la dicha cámara cuando dicha rata de flujo dentro de la dicha segunda fuente se aparta de la dicha rata o caudal de flujo deseado.<EMI FILE="98019674_1" ID="1" IMF=JPEG >
