Abstract
En un aparato para la formación de una corriente devidrio de envoltura que tiene vidrio de núcleo interno rodeado por un vidrio de envoltura externo, dicho aparato que incluye un pico de vaciado (13) para recibir vidrio de núcleo desde una primera fuente (12) y suministrar dicho vidrio a través de un primer orificio (22), medios (26) que forman un segundo orificio (28) está verticalmente espaciado debajo y alineado con el dicho primer orificio con una cámara anular (30) que rodea el dicho segundo orificio y se comunica con el dicho segundo orificio a través de una luz o huelgo entre los dichos primer y segundo orificios, y medios (32, 34, 36) para suministrar vidrio de envoltura desde una segunda fuente (40) hacia la dicha cámara anular en forma tal que el vidrio fluye por gravedad desde las dichas primera y segunda fuentes a través de los dichos orificios para formar la dicha corriente de vidrio de envoltura, el mejoramiento en el cual el dicho pico de vaciado (13) comprende: un reservorio (14) para recibir y mantener el dicho vidrio de núcleo y que tiene por lo menos una abertura inferior (16) de un primer diámetro, un anillo de orificio (24) está posicionado debajo del reservorio, y tiene por lo menos una abertura de un segundo diámetro menor que el dicho primer diámetro alineado con la dicha primera abertura y formando el dicho primer orificio (22), y un collarín de diámetro interno uniforme igual al dicho primer diámetro se extiende desde la dicha primera abertura hacia el dicho anillo del orificio y espaciando consecuentemente el dicho reservorio del anillo del orificio en forma tal de incrementar la presión de cabeza hidrostática en el vidrio que fluye desde el dicho reservorio a través del dicho primer orificio.
