Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform effective coil cooling by internally providing an annular coil into an annular case, forming a water passage for cooling water between the inside surface of the case and the outside circumference of the coil, dividing the water passage to an outer passage, an inner passage, an upper passage, and a lower passage, communicating these and flowing cooling water therein. CONSTITUTION:A water passage 18 and tubular block pieces 19-22 are provided between the inside of a case 12 and the outside circumference of a coil 17 internally provided therein. The water passage 18 is divided to an outer passage 23 by the block pieces 19, 22, an inner passage 24 by the block pieces 20, 21, an upper passage 25 by the block pieces 19, 20, and a lower passage 26 by the block pieces 21, 22. The terminal end of the upper passage 23 is communicated with the beginning end of the lower passage 26, the terminal end of the lower passage 26 with the beginning end of the inner passage 24 and the terminal end of the inner passage 24 with the beginning end of the upper passage 25. Therefore, if cooling water is supplied through a supply port 31, it flows through the outer passages 23, the lower passage 26, the inner passage 24 and the upper passage 25 and is discharged to the outside of the case 12 through a discharge port 32.
