Abstract
Un aparato antiarrastre de transferencia de masa para unatorre de proceso químico del tipo en donde el líquido fluye hacia abajo sobre y a través de bandejas a través de las cuales el vapor fluye hacia arriba por interacción y transferencia de masa entre ellos, dicho aparato comprende : un conjunto de empaque de capa dual asegurado adyacente a una de dichas bandejas para recibir el flujo de vapor ascendente a su través y que tiene al menos una capa formada a partir de un empaque estructurado adaptado para recolectar el líquido arrastrado en dicho vapor en vía contraria para suministrar una superficie de transferencia de masa entre ellos.Un método para remover líquido arrastrado de gas ascendente en una torre de proceso químico del tipo donde el líquido fluye hacia abajo sobre y a través de bandejas dispuestas dentro de dicha torre y el vapor asciende hacia arriba a través de dichas bandejas de interacción y transferencia de masa con dicho líquido, dicho método comprende las etapas de:formar un conjunto de capa de empaque dual;posicionar dicho conjunto dentro de dicha torre para recibir el flujo ascendente de vapor en su través;asegurar dicho conjunto adyacente a un lado inferior de una bandeja dentro de dicha torre;introducir vapor y líquido dentro de dicha torre en flujo de contra arrastre de ella; yel líquido arrastrado dentro de dicho vapor sobre las superficies de dicho conjunto para la transferencia de masa con dicho vapor y la eficiencia mejorada de dicha torre.
