Abstract
Se divulga un sensor óptico de fluido (OFS) que incluye un cuerpo que define una cámara y que tiene una o más aberturas para permitir que un fluido entre en la cámara, una fuente de luz acoplada ópticamente a la cámara y configurada para emitir luz en la cámara, y un detector acoplado ópticamente a la cámara y configurado para recibir luz de la cámara. La fuente de luz puede emitir luz IR, visible y UV en la cámara, y el detector puede medir una intensidad de una o más longitudes de onda de IR o luz visible recibida por el detector. Cuando el fluido está dispuesto dentro de la cámara, la luz emitida por la fuente de luz puede pasar dentro y a través del fluido dispuesto en la cámara antes de ser recibida por el detector. También se divulga un sistema de protección cruzada que incluye una OFS para determinar un tipo de líquido transportado.
