发明背景
通常用适当的乳化表面活性剂来稳定乳液,这些乳化表面活性剂由于它们的两亲结构而处于油/水界面处,从而稳定分散的液滴。然而,这些表面活性剂典型地显示具有缺点,它们会渗透并可能刺激皮肤、眼睛和头皮,并且通常产生较差的皮肤感觉。此外,用常规表面活性剂制备乳液在加工期间典型需要应用加热,这也是不利的,因为这不仅限制了将热敏性成分包括在内的可能性,而且还限制了其中可实施制造方法的场所类型-安全性和其他问题可能会例如禁止在某些需要的场所生产该乳液。
包括烷氧基化表面活性剂在内的常规表面活性剂的另一缺点是它们可能导致物质在破乳后再次乳化-破乳允许递送被乳化的物质,而再次乳化,例如在洗涤/淋浴期间向皮肤施用个人清洁组合物后,会降低所需的有益效果(因为在此实施例中,乳化了的润肤剂和活性物质被从皮肤上洗去了)。
常规表面活性剂的另一缺点是它们不能够令人满意地乳化极性油,如具有高溶解度参数的油。
已知且已发现,具有高度不连续相的浓缩乳液(其中该不连续相包含水或油)可应用于众多技术中,如燃料、化妆品和食品-这些乳液的日常实施例是蛋黄酱(其可典型地在水中包含约70%的植物油)。还已发现,这些浓缩乳液可应用于化妆品领域,因为该浓缩物可稳定地包含例如高浓度的润肤剂、润湿剂和防晒剂,然后可使用简单的冷混合方法将它们稀释,以获得所需的最终产品。参考了美国专利US4,606,913和US 5,976,604,这两个专利提出了浓缩乳液。

发明概述
依照本发明的第一个方面,提供了一种乳液,所述乳液包含按所述乳液的重量计至少50%的不连续油相、连续含水相和乳化剂,其中所述乳化剂包括分子量为至少8.3E-22g(500道尔顿)的非烷氧基化的水溶性乳化聚合物,在25℃测定时,该水溶性乳化聚合物的0.1%重量的水溶液所具有的表面张力为15mN/m至60mN/m(15至60达因/厘米)。
本文所用的与水溶性乳化聚合物有关的术语“非烷氧基化的”是指不包含烷氧基的聚合物,即分子中无-OR基团(其中R包括烷基部分),其既不在聚合物的主链上,也不作为连接在主链或其它位置上的侧链。

在依照本发明的乳液中乳化剂的含量下,该乳化聚合物的分子量优选不超过2.2E-19g(130千道尔顿);超过此点,则水相的粘度可能达到阻碍乳化的程度,尤其当按所述乳液的重量计内部油相的含量为80%至90%时。
有利地是,本发明乳液中所含乳化剂总重量的70%至100%是由一种或多种非烷氧基化的水溶性乳化聚合物组成的。

有利地是,至少有一种依照本发明的非烷氧基化水溶性聚合物具有成膜特性。这些特性存在于具有较高分子量的聚合物中,尤其是分子量高于1.7E-20(10,000道尔顿)的那些。与包括烷氧基化表面活性剂在内的传统表面活性剂相比,成膜特性可进一步增加乳液在底物上的亲和性。包含传统表面活性剂(包括烷氧基化表面活性剂)的干水包油乳液所遭受的不利之处是,它们在润湿时可能会再次乳化,然而本发明的非烷氧基化水溶性聚合物则较不易发生这种情况。不受理论的束缚,据信如果聚合物显示具有成膜特性,则可进一步增加本发明组合物的亲和性,这是因为成膜特性可在油相表面上形成薄膜,从而将其保留在底物上。
依照本发明的乳液可包含按重量计0.1%至15%,优选0.1%至5%,更优选0.1%至2.5%的水溶性乳化聚合物。
依照本发明的乳液可按以下方法制备:
典型的乳液可包含1%至5%的水溶性乳化聚合物和8%至9%的水相,所述水相包含100%的水或水和其它水溶性组分的混合物。第一步中,在搅拌下,将水溶性乳化聚合物加入到水相中。其后,在缓慢的搅拌下,将占油总重量6%至15%的不连续批料顺序滴定到该水相中,以在加入以下批料前获得均匀的稠度。持续进行此操作,直至加入占油总重量约20%的油。此时,可在更剧烈的搅拌下较快地并以连续的方式加入剩余的油,直至获得包含所有油的均匀乳液。持续搅拌,直至获得均匀的稠度,显示具有在所需范围内的典型颗粒。典型的粒度范围为1至20微米。所获得的浓缩乳液典型地包含按所述乳液的重量计高于70%,更通常为80%至93%的内部油相。
依照本发明的乳液可凭它们自身的作用被用作产品。例如,卸妆油膏凝胶可包含本发明的浓缩乳液。然而此外,可将本发明的乳液掺入到其它产品中作为所述产品的组分。依照本发明的第二个方面,提供了包含依照本发明第一方面乳液的产品。上述产品的实施例包括个人护理产品,如用于手和躯体的露剂、洗发剂组合物、化妆品、香料和香料凝胶组合物、以及用于婴儿擦拭物的露剂;洗衣用产品,如织物软化剂和液体衣物洗涤剂;保健产品,如呼吸软膏(vapour rubcream);用于薄纸巾的涂层。
个人护理产品、保健产品和洗衣用产品可包含0.01%至30%重量,优选0.25%至12%重量,更优选0.25%至5%重量的上文定义的浓缩乳液。

测定方法
测定水溶性乳化聚合物的溶解度
本文所用的与乳化聚合物有关的术语“水溶性”包括满足以下条件的聚合物:室温下,1%重量的聚合物去离子水溶液对波长范围为455nm至800nm的光的透射比为至少90%。使聚合物溶液通过标准注射器过滤到孔径为450nm的lcm路径长度的比色皿中,使用准备从390nm至800nm进行扫描和记录的HP 8453分光光度计扫描,来进行测试。进行过滤,以除去不溶性组分。
表面张力的测定
用于测定流体表面张力的方法是通常所谓的“Wilhelmy悬片法”。Wilhelmy悬片法是一种通用的方法,尤其适于随时间间隔测试表面张力。大体上,将已知周边的垂直片连接到天平上,然后测定由于变湿而产生的力。更具体地讲:
制成0.1%重量的水溶性乳化聚合物的去离子水溶液。然后将聚合物溶液倒入到干净且干燥的玻璃容器中,将溶液温度控制在25℃。将干净且热处理过的Wilhelmy悬片降至该液体的表面上。在悬片已到达液面后,测定从液体中移开悬片所需的力。
使用装置及相应设置如下:
装置:Krüss张力计K12,由Krüss GmbH,Borsteler Chausee85-99a,22453 Hamburg-Germany制造(参见
www.kruess.com)。
悬片尺寸:宽度:19.9mm;厚度:0.2mm;高度:10mm
测量设置:浸入深度2mm,表面检测灵敏度0.01g,表面检测速度6mm/min,值10,线性采集,最大测定时间60秒。
将悬片浸入到流体中,并在装置的显示器上读出相应的表面张力值。使用说明可见于根据“Krüss GmbH Hamburg 1996”2.1版编辑的用户手册中。

下列实施例进一步描述和证明了本发明范围内的优选实施方案。给出实施例仅是为了举例说明的目的,不应理解为是对本发明的限定,因为在不背离其范围的条件下可对其进行许多的改变。
实施例1:护手霜和爽身水

1Dow Corning 1503流体是由Dow Corning生产的聚二甲基硅氧烷和聚二甲基硅氧烷醇。

Claims (22)
1.一种乳液,所述乳液包含:
a)按所述乳液的重量计至少约50%的不连续油相;
b)连续水相;
c)乳化剂;
其中所述乳化剂包括分子量为至少约500道尔顿的非烷氧基化水溶性乳化聚合物;并且其中在约25℃测定时,所述水溶性乳化聚合物的0.1%重量的水溶液所具有的表面张力为约15至约60mN/m(约15至约60达因/cm)。
2.如权利要求1所述的乳液,其中按所述乳化剂的总重量计约70%至约100%的乳化剂由一种或多种非烷氧基化水溶性乳化聚合物组成。
3.如权利要求1所述的乳液,所述乳液包含大于约70%重量的油相。
4.如权利要求1所述的乳液,所述乳液包含约80%至约93%重量的油相。
5.如权利要求1所述的乳液,其中包含在所述油相中的所述油或每种油具有的Hildebrand溶解度参数为约5至约12卡/cc(约209至约502kJ/m2)。
6.如权利要求1所述的乳液,其中包含在所述油相中的所述油或每种油具有的粘度范围为约0.005cm2/s至约30,000cm2/s。
7.如权利要求1所述的乳液,其中所述水溶性乳化聚合物具有的分子量大于约3000道尔顿。
8.如权利要求1所述的乳液,其中所述水溶性乳化聚合物具有的分子量大于约10,000道尔顿。
9.如权利要求1所述的乳液,其中所述乳化聚合物具有的分子量小于约130千道尔顿。
10.如权利要求1所述的乳液,所述乳液包含约0.25%至约7%重量的所述乳化聚合物。
11.如权利要求1所述的乳液,所述乳液包含约0.25%至约5%重量的所述乳化聚合物。
12.如权利要求1所述的乳液,其中所述水溶性乳化聚合物选自聚(甲基乙烯基醚/马来酸)钠盐的单烷基酯、烷基化的聚乙烯吡咯烷酮、(3-二甲基氨丙基)异丁烯酰胺/3-异丁烯酰基酰胺丙基月桂基二甲基氯化铵、以及它们的混合物。
13.如权利要求1所述的乳液,所述乳液还包含小于约0.001%的电解质。
14.一种包含约0.01%至约30%重量的如权利要求1所述乳液的产品,其中所述产品选自个人护理产品、保健产品和洗衣用产品。
15.如权利要求14所述的产品,所述产品包含约0.25%至约5%重量的如权利要求1所述的乳液。
16.如权利要求14所述的产品,其中所述个人护理产品选自露剂、洗发剂、化妆品和香料凝胶。
17.如权利要求16所述的产品,其中所述露剂为护手霜和爽身水。
18.如权利要求16所述的产品,其中所述保健产品为呼吸软膏。
19.一种乳液,所述乳液包含:
a)按所述乳液的重量计至少约50%的不连续油相;
b)连续水相;
c)乳化剂;和
其中所述乳化剂包括水溶性乳化聚合物;其中所述水溶性乳化聚合物具有的分子量为至少约10,000道尔顿;其中在约25℃测定时,所述水溶性乳化聚合物的0.1%重量的水溶液所具有的表面张力为约15至约60mN/m(约15至约60达因/cm);其中至少一种所述水溶性乳化聚合物为成膜聚合物。
20.如权利要求19所述的乳液,其中所述水溶性乳化聚合物均为成膜聚合物。
21.一种乳液,所述乳液包含:
a)按所述乳液的重量计至少约50%的不连续油相;
b)连续水相;和
c)乳化剂;
其中所述乳化剂包括水溶性乳化聚合物,其中所述水溶性乳化聚合物具有的分子量为至少约3000道尔顿,其中在约25℃测定时,所述水溶性乳化聚合物的0.1%重量的水溶液所具有的表面张力为约15至约60mN/m(约15至约60达因/厘米);其中按所述乳液的重量计,所述乳液包含小于约0.001%的电解质。
22.一种乳液,所述乳液包含:
a)按所述乳液的重量计至少约70%的不连续油相;
b)连续水相;和
c)乳化剂;
其中所述乳化剂包括水溶性乳化聚合物,所述水溶性乳化聚合物选自聚(甲基乙烯基醚/马来酸)钠盐的单烷基酯、烷基化的聚乙烯吡咯烷酮、对苯二酸酯聚酯、(3-二甲基氨丙基)异丁烯酰胺/3-异丁烯酰基酰胺丙基月桂基二甲基氯化铵、以及它们的混合物。
