通常情况下,用于改善头发结构和皮肤表面的活性成分一般是阳离子表面活性剂与各种蜡型添加剂,如凡士林、脂肪酸酯和脂肪族醇的组合。但是,根据WO96/27363所述,以此为基础的头发和皮肤处理剂仅仅在处理干燥和多孔的头发或者干燥和多孔的皮肤方面才具有令人满意的结果。此外,该文件认为,它们不适合于处理很快又再充满脂肪的头发/皮肤,因为在使用它们时,补充的天然脂肪甚至会得到增强。该文件认为强劲补充脂肪的原因主要在于这种试剂中包含有阳离子乳化剂。该文件认为它的任务是以不具有所述缺点的调理活性成分为基础来制备可利用的头发和/或皮肤处理剂。因此,该申请公开了一种含有水和如下组合的化妆用试剂:

在WO96/27363中没有任何地方清晰地定义什么是“调理剂”。调理一般说来意味着使皮肤感觉柔软和光滑。调理剂未必都产生增湿效果。这种试剂通常被称为增湿剂。有时,这两种活性在广泛意义上属于“调理和增湿”剂类型。
现在我们发现,胆碱盐和有关的化合物是强有力的皮肤增湿剂。甚至在冲洗掉清洗组合物中,这种物质或其混合物基本上也能给皮肤带来更多的水分。该皮肤上的水分可以是统计学显著的可测量皮肤上水分量。
发明概述
根据本发明,提供一种化妆用组合物,其含有:
(a)增湿有效量的如下式的化合物:
其中X选自:CH2OH,CHOHCH2CO2-,或其混合物,前提条件是当X不带负电荷时,化合物是盐,和
(b)用于所述化合物的皮肤相容的载体。形成盐的这种反离子源自于无机酸,如盐酸、硫酸、磷酸等或者有机酸,如乙酸、乳酸、柠檬酸等。
所述组合物可用于使皮肤增湿。当所述组合物施用于皮肤上时可以获得明显可测量的水分增加。组合物可以呈液体、固体或者胶凝清洗制剂的形式。这种液体或者凝胶剂可以呈各种化妆用型式,比如洗液、膏体等。理想的形式是液体清洗组合物。优选的化合物是胆碱盐,例如氯化物盐。当使用胆碱盐时,生理学相容的脂肪族有机酸不必以组合物重量的约0.05-约15wt%,或甚至约0.1-约10wt%的范围存在于组合物中。事实上,这种生理学相容的脂肪族有机酸根本不必存在于组合物中。
发明详述
增湿化合物可以配制到各种组合物,包括液体、固体以及胶状组合物中以提供增湿效果。当配制成固体时,增湿化合物可以与数量可多可少的皂共存,其余是表面活性剂,其可以是无、较少量或者较大量的阴离子表面活性剂,比如合成表面活性剂。当配制成液体或者凝胶组合物时,根据组合物作为清洗组合物的用途,增湿化合物要与不同数量的水,以及各种阴离子、非离子、阳离子、两性表面活性剂或者其混合物一起配制。液体或者凝胶制剂,特别是液体制剂可以形成具有清洁能力、增湿和/或调理能力的膏体或者洗液或者自由流动的液体,或者具有清洗与增湿和/或调理效果的混合物。调理意指增加皮肤的光滑性或者柔软性。增湿意指实际增加皮肤的水分含量。
在本发明的组合物中也可以存在其他的调理与增湿剂。有代表性的增湿或调理物质包括脲,乳酸,吡咯烷酮羧酸,氨基酸以及提到的酸盐。
组合物中可以存在的物质的另外实例是闭塞剂。这种物质能在皮肤上形成具有有限渗透性的薄膜,用来束缚皮肤中的水并防止失水。闭塞剂的范围是相当大的。它们通常是憎水性的油和蜡。这类试剂的实例以及其独立的实例是:
1.烃油和蜡。其实例是矿物油,矿脂,石蜡烃,纯地蜡,地蜡,微晶蜡。
2.硅油,比如二甲基聚硅氧烷,甲基苯基聚硅氧烷,聚硅氧烷二醇共聚物。
3.三酸甘油酯,例如,植物和动物脂肪以及油。
4.甘油酯,比如乙酰化的单酸甘油酯和乙氧基化的单酸甘油酯。

在组合物中还可以存在润湿剂,特别是C2-C6多元醇,尤其是,甘油,山梨糖醇,丙二醇和1,3-丁二醇。润湿剂的另一个例子是分子量为约100-约1500的聚乙二醇。润湿剂本身不会形成闭塞薄膜,但是却可以与其他物质一起形成具有闭塞性质的薄膜。因此,希望润湿剂并不是唯一存在的润肤剂类型。
可以用于所述组合物的表面活性剂的实例包括阴离子的、非离子的、两性的和阳离子的表面活性剂。
可以使用任意的阴离子表面活性剂。这种阴离子表面活性剂的实例包括皂类,长链烷基或者链烯基,支化的或者正构的羧酸盐,比如钠、钾、铵或者取代的铵盐均可以存在于所述组合物中。

非离子型表面活性剂可以广泛地定义为由氧化烯基团(性质上是亲水性的)与有机疏水化合物缩合得到的化合物,其中有机疏水化合物在性质上可以是脂肪族的或者烷基芳族的。优选的非离子型表面活性剂类型的实例是:

本发明增湿化合物或其混合物的用量可以是任意的增湿有效量。通常有至少约0.1wt%的组合物,理想的是至少约0.5wt%的组合物,更理想至少约1wt%的组合物是本发明的化合物或其混合物。通常,不超过约20wt%的组合物是本发明的增湿剂或其混合物,理想的是不超过约10-15wt%。合适的量通常要使化合物或者混合物所希望的质量与这种物质在整个组合物上可能具有的任何不希望的作用之间达到平衡。
表面活性剂可以存在于这样的组合物中,其中该组合物并不是用于清洗而是需要组合物中任意调理剂的乳化作用。通常,为了乳化目的可以使用最少约0.5wt%的表面活性剂。因此,可以使用乳化量的表面活性剂。表面活性剂还可以用于以清洗为目标的组合物中。将应使用清洗有效量的表面活性剂。为了清洗目的,希望至少使用约1wt%,理想的是至少约2或3wt%的表面活性剂。
下面是本发明的实施例。这些实施例是用来举例说明本发明而不是对本发明进行限制。除胆碱盐本身外,所有本发明的化合物均预计会产生类似的结果。正如结果清楚地表明的那样,胆碱盐给皮肤带来了增湿效果。这些结果至少在某种程度上与胆碱盐在冲洗掉制剂中与皮肤亲和(substantive)有关。有代表性的润湿剂,例如乙二醇和甘油在冲洗掉制剂并不能显示出对于皮肤的亲和性(substantivity)。
实施例1
使用Packard Instruments皮刀除去全厚猪皮的表皮(AnimalTechnologies,Tyler,TX),并通过胰蛋白酶消化而去除角质层。然后将几片角质层浸在微孔水、5%的氯化胆碱(Aldrich Chemical,Milwaukee,WI),或者5%的甘油溶液中。使用动态蒸气吸附计量仪(表面测量体系,Coopersburg,PA),使皮肤在相对湿度为0%的环境中平衡,直到重量变化不超过每分钟0.005%为止。记录下这个重量作为干重。然后将相对湿度增加到90%。将皮肤在此湿度下进行平衡,直到重量变化不超过每分钟0.005%为止。同样记录下这一重量,并计算出吸水百分率。下表表示出胆碱的增湿能力。以我们的结果为基础,将其与甘油的结果进行对比。

实施例2
将3厘米×8厘米的猪皮(Animal Technologies,Tyler,TX)用1毫升淋浴凝胶(对照物)或者1毫升含5%氯化胆碱盐的淋浴凝胶洗涤。对所述皮肤洗涤2分钟后漂洗15秒。然后通过胰蛋白酶消化除去角质层。使用动态蒸汽吸附仪(表面测量体系,Coopersburg,PA),在相对湿度为0%的环境中使皮肤平衡直到重量变化不超过每分钟0.005%为止。将该重量记录为干重。然后将相对湿度增加到90%。皮肤在此湿度下进行平衡,直到重量变化不超过每分钟0.005%为止。同样记录下这一重量,并计算出吸水百分率。下表表示出用淋浴凝胶和加了5%胆碱的淋浴凝胶处理后的猪皮的结果(吸水百分率)。

实施例3
在该实施例中描述的放射性标记试验用来定量测量在水漂洗后可以附着于皮肤上的胆碱的量。将完全厚度的Yucatan猪皮(CharlesRiver,Inc.,Wilmington,MA)嵌(真皮侧向下)到特殊的试样夹上,试样夹的尺寸先前在美国专利4,836,014中描述过。该试样夹暴露出大约4.91cm2的皮肤。然后将1毫升等分量的含(3H3C)-胆碱(AmericanRadiolabel Chemicals,Inc.,St.Louis,MO)的淋浴凝胶施用于暴露皮肤的表面上。该淋浴凝胶是通过向20毫升25%的淋浴凝胶溶液中加入100毫克氯化胆碱(Aldrich Chemical,Milwaukee,WI)和2μCi 3H-胆碱来制备的(即,将25克淋浴凝胶稀释到75克蒸馏水中)。5分钟之后,除去淋浴凝胶,并用10毫升蒸馏水冲洗皮肤的表面。然后再向皮肤上施加第二等分量1毫升的含(3H3C)-胆碱的淋浴凝胶,暴露5分钟之后,再次除去淋浴凝胶并用10毫升蒸馏水对皮肤进行冲洗。然后将皮肤样品从其试样夹上除去并空气干燥10分钟。从每一片处理后的皮肤上收集4片直径为4毫米的穿孔(punch),在Packard氧化器中氧化,并在Packard 2000 Tri-carb液体闪烁分析仪(Packard InstrumentsInc.,Downers Grove,IL)中计数。为获得比活性,将0.1毫升的含(3H3C)-胆碱的淋浴凝胶在Packard 2000分析仪中计数。根据所得结果,确定用水漂洗之后残余在皮肤上胆碱的量是33μg/cm2。

通常,可以用惯用的加工方式向固体制剂,特别是用于清洗目的的皂条中加入,例如香料,颜料等,但希望其具有比较高的水含量。这种增加的水含量是有益的,因为它能降低皂条的成本以及降低可能刺激皮肤的表面活性剂的量。使用这种标准设备和工艺参数,很容易制备出含胆碱的条,胆碱的量,希望的是约1-约10wt%(氯化胆碱或者胆碱的任何其他盐),更希望的是约2.5-约8wt%,通常不高于约6.0wt%。通常,可以使用最少约14wt%,最多约30wt%的水。在这样的水含量下,成型的固体条是稳定的并且在最大水含量下不会感觉到有过度明显的软化。希望的是,在条中所用的水的最低含量为约15wt%,16wt%,18wt%或者20wt%。希望的最大水含量为约28wt%,27wt%,25wt%或者24wt%。条中特别希望的水含量范围是约16wt%-约22wt%。通常,当条中还存在有更多的软化剂,例如游离脂肪酸,矿脂,甘油,矿物油等时,可以使用接近于最低量的水。当这种试剂减少或者根本不存在时,可以使用接近于最大量的水。胆碱优选以氯化物盐水溶液的形式加入。
通常,可以使用任何的离子型表面活性剂,但是传统的皂条是固体组合物中最方便的在皮肤上产生积极效果的形式。可以使用的皂含量至少为3wt%,希望至少为5wt%。通常,其中皂处于支配地位,即其含量为约50wt%-约85wt%的条是所希望的,更希望其含量为约65-84wt%。还可以使用低于约82wt%或者约80wt%的量。当其中存在有明显量的其他表面活性剂时,还可以使用这样的皂范围:即,对于combar来说,皂的范围为约25wt%-约65wt%,或者对于合成洗涤剂条来说,为约5wt%-约25wt%。
条的贮存稳定性看起来不会受到其中存在的胆碱的不利影响。看来没有明显量的水被加入到条重量中,也仿佛没有明显量的水存在于条的表面上。
可以观察在水的存在下把条施用于皮肤上时的感官特征。不仅可以有增湿作用,而且含胆碱的条施用到皮肤上时可以给皮肤留下粉状感觉。
