Abstract

一种中间基板电连接器,在电路基板的至少一侧面上,在该电路基板的非平行的两个直线形缘部分别以预定间隔排列形成多个连接部(12)、(13),上述两个直线形缘部上的对应连接部彼此间是以线状图形(14)连接,一个直线形缘部的连接部(12)与一方连接器(20)连接,而另一直线形缘部的连接部(13)与其它连接器(30)连接,多个线状图形(14)形成相同的长度。本发明的中间基板电连接器具有优异的高速传输特性,操作简单并容易制作。

Description

中间基板电连接器
技术领域
本发明是属于电连接器的技术领域,尤其是涉及连接直角位置关系配置的连接器彼此间、称为直角连接器的电路基板状中间基板电连接器。
背景技术
该种连接器,一般熟知的有例如日本专利特开平7-6823所揭示。此传统连接器50是如添附图式的图5所示,在角筒状外壳51中平行插入配置有多个片的电路基板52。各电路基板52其前缘位于外壳51的前方开口,后部从外壳突出,其下缘大致与外壳的下面齐平。在上述电路基板52的面上,利用印刷配线设置线状图形53A、53B、53C、53D,并于上述前缘与连接部54A、54B、54C、54D导通,并于上述下缘与脚状连接部55A、55B、55C、55D导通。
使用时,在电路基板(未图标)上,利用软焊等连接对应电路部与上述连接部54A、54B、54C、54D,并从前方嵌合对方连接器(未图标),以与连接部54A、54B、54C、54D连接。于是位于直角位置关系的对方连接器与电路基板经由上述连接器50连接。
但是在用于高速传递时,由于各线形图案53A、53B、53C、53D的传输路径长度不同,会产生信号的延迟。
在以上的直角连接器中,为了使各传输路径长度相等,在日本专利特开平7-85938中,提出一种如图6所示的直角连接器。
图6是在平行载体61、62间形成连接两载体的多个平行接点63,藉可弯曲之薄绝缘片材64覆盖该等接点63的两侧面之后,在相对上述接点63形成45°的角度位置65上使上述接点63及绝缘片材64弯曲重叠。然后,在片材64与载体61及62之间以L字型模具支持体支持上述接点,最后在位置66、67上分别将载体61、62切离。藉此,可以使所有的接点形成相等长度,其两端延伸形L字型,形成直角连接器。
但是,上述图6的产品有以下数个不良点。
首先,绝缘材为了能弯曲而选定薄型材,因此作为连接器,其刚性低,不易处理。
其次,由于接点是弯曲形成,因此加工时及使用时会有破裂的可能。
另外,要贴绝缘片,与加工同时弯曲接点,还要经过铸模成形,其加工麻烦。
由于各接点是在绝缘片的两面侧形成交叉状态,因此电气特性上不佳。
发明内容
本发明是以消除上述不良点,提供操作容易,具有优异电特性的中间基板电连接器为目的。
本发明的中间基板电连接器是在电路基板的至少一侧面上,在该电路基板的非平行的两个直线形缘部分别以预定间隔排列形成多个连接部,并以线状图形连接上述两个直线形缘部的对应连接部彼此间,一个直线形缘部的连接部可与一个连接器连接,另一个直线形缘部的连接部可与其它连接器连接。
以上的中间基板电连接器中,本发明具有多个线状图形为相同长度的特征。
根据以上构成的本发明,两个连接器即使处于非平行的位置关系时,由于中间基板电连接器的多个线状图形具有相同的长度,因此对应连接部间的传送路径长度都相同,可适于高速传输。
本发明中,非平行的两个直线形缘部可形成大致直角形,又,多数的场合是以这种位置关系连接两个连接器。
又,本发明两个直线形缘部中的一个直线形缘部位于另一直线形缘部的端部侧方,可延伸到以该另一直线形部的延长线所区分的两个领域,由此实现使用连接器的装置的小型化,尤其是低高度化。

图1是表示本发明一实施形态的中间基板电连接器及其连接的两个连接器的局部剖面主视图。
图2是以图1的II-II剖面表示要连接的一方连接器,图中省略了电路基板电连接器。
图3表示图1的应用例,是在中间电连接器仅连接一方连接器、而未连接另一方连接器的立体图。
图4为图4同时连接另外侧连接器时的透视图。
图5为传统连接器的剖面立体图。
图6是表示其它传统连接器的端子构件的中间构件的俯视图。
具体实施方式
以下,根据图1至图4说明本发明的实施形态。
图1中,中间基板电连接器10是用于连接配置成直角位置关系的两个连接器20、30。
中间基板电连接器10是平行于纸面的电路基板,图中具有横长部分A与纵长部分B,在两部分A、B的边界位置上形成延伸至中间的沟部11。
上述中间基板连接器10是沿着上述横长部分A的直线形下缘和上述纵长部分B的直线形右缘,分别以预定间隔等数地设置多个连接部12、13。该等连接部12、13是利用印刷配线技术作为焊接区形成于由绝缘材构成的电路基板坯料上。上述横长部分A处的连接部12与纵长部分B处的连接部13是以线状图形14连接对应的连接部之间。多个线状图形14各自的经路及形态不同,但是路径长度全都一样。换言之,路径长度相同但是其经路与形态都不同。相关的线状图形14与上述连接部12、13同样,可以通过印刷配线形成。上述连接部12、13与线状图形14可以在电路基板的两面形成,也可以仅在一面形成。
图中,横长部分A与纵长部分B具有使前者连接部的排列领域相对后者在上下方向位于中间位置的位置关系。
本实施形态中,一方连接器20与另一方连接器30是使用完全相同的物品。因此,仅针对一方连接器20说明,而省略对另一方连接器30的说明。
连接器20具有横长长方体外形的外壳21,在外壳21上形成沟状承接凹部22,供排列有上述中间基板电连接器10的横长部分A的连接部12的部分插入。该承接凹部22如图2所示,形成两个,可插入两个中间基板电连接器10。在上述外壳21中,相对于各承接凹部22,在相对的内面形成成对的端子收容槽23,该端子收容槽23在图2中沿垂直于纸面的方向以预定间隔形成多个对。该端子收容槽23在外壳21的下面开口,可以将端子24从下方朝着上述端子收容槽23插入。
上述端子24在图2中是将与纸面平行的金属板在其面维持原样的状下冲压加工制成,一体地形成向上方延伸且具有弹性的一对接触臂25、将两个接触臂25在下端连接的连接部26、及从该连接部26的一端向上方延伸的固定臂27。上述一对接触臂25在上部朝着互相接近的方向弯曲,在其窄部形成接触部25A。上述固定臂27被压入外壳的预定沟部内可防止端子的脱落。又,上述连接部26面对外壳的下面,在该连接部26的下端面安装有焊球28。该焊球28在图中相对于邻接的两个端子而左右偏离设置,多个端子的排列间隔虽小,却不会影响焊球的安装。
连接器30具有与上述连接器20完全相同的构成,但是连接器20如图1所示,是与横向的电路基板P上连接,而连接器30是与纵向的电路基板P2连接。本发明可以使连接器20、30具有某些特征,也可具有其它形态的端子等,对于连接器本体不再加以详述。
本实施形态的中间基板电连接器是以以下的要领使用。
①首先,将连接器20、30分别与对应机器的电路基板P1、P2的预定位置连接。连接时向焊球28吹热风,以使之融熔,并焊接至预定电路部。
②其次,如图1所示,将中间基板电连接器10连接在一方的连接器20上。该中间基板电连接器10的连接部12是被连接器20的一对接触部25A夹压而实现连接。此时,中间基板电连接器10的沟部11构成可供连接器10的端壁29收纳的空间。
③其次,使中间基板电连接器10与上述电路基板P1一起朝着图1的右侧移动,将纵长部分B的连接部13插入连接器30完成连接。
④于是,两个连接器20、30是经过中间基板电连接器而使对应端子彼此间实现导电连接。此时,在中间基板电连接器10上,多个线状图形14都具备相同的路径长度,因此上述两个连接器中任何的对应端子间的传输路径都相同,可以获得良好的高速传输特性。
通过以上形态的中间基板电连接器10所连接的连接器20、30如图3、图4所示,可以呈多个排列。图3中,连接器20在图1的电路基板P1上、连接器30在图1的电路基板P2上,分别多个连接配置,中间基板电连接器10插入所有的多个连接器20,可如图4所示,将多个连接器20一并与多个连接器30连接。由于可以将连接器多个排列后使用,因此可通过选定连接器的数量实现任意极数的连接。
本发明不仅限于图示形态,可加以适当变更。
例如,仅变更连接器的构造,可使插入连接的中间基板电连接器的数量。形成单数或三个以上。又,利用中间基板电连接器所连接的两个连接器也可不是直角位置关系,也可以具有倾斜角。此外,中间基板电连接器在图1中是纵长部分利用横长部分的高度方向领域而上下延伸,因此相应地实现高度方向的小型化、即装置的低高度化,但是没有以上要求时,也可以形成单纯的L字型或四角形。
此外,上述中间基板电连接器当其线性图样的形态复杂化或过密化时,也可藉绝缘层构成多层结构。可在表层形成保护电路面(线状图形)的涂敷层。
发明的效果
如上所述,本发明是将在电路基板的非平行的两个直线状缘部以预定间隔分别设置的多个连接部,利用对应的一对连接部彼此间等长的线状图形导通,因此作为中间连接器,由于基板具有刚性,除了便于处理之外,由于所有传输路径都是等长的,故可有效地高速传输,并且只用印刷配线技术就能简单廉价地制造。

Claims (3)

1.一种中间基板电连接器,在电路基板的至少一侧面上,在该电路基板的非平行的两个直线形缘部分别以预定间隔排列形成多个连接部,并以线状图形连接上述两个直线形缘部的对应连接部彼此间,一个直线形缘部的连接部可与一个连接器连接,另一个直线形缘部的连接部可与其它连接器连接,其特征在于,所述多个线状图形的长度相同。
2.如权利要求1所述的中间基板电连接器,其特征在于,非平行的两个直线形缘部形成大致直角形。
3.如权利要求1或2所述的中间基板电连接器,其特征在于,两个直线形缘部中的一个直线形缘部位于另一直线形缘部的端部侧方,延伸到被该另一直线形部的延长线所区分的两个领域。
