Description

检测摆动缺陷的设备和方法
                    技术领域
本发明涉及光记录介质,尤其涉及利用从具有摆动(wobble)模式的光记录介质检测到的摆动信号检测摆动缺陷的设备和方法。
                     背景技术
到目前为止,已经开发了几种类型的光盘,譬如,数字多用途盘-随机存取存储器(DVD-RAM)、可记录DVD(DVD-R)、可重写DVD(DVD-RW)和DVD+RW等。摆动模式存在于光记录介质中平台与凹槽的边界区域上。因此,如果在摆动模式中发生了许多差错,那么就有很大可能性在平台和凹槽上的数据域中存在差错。
并且,根据摆动模式的摆动信号可以用于在光盘上记录位置信息。此外,摆动信号还可以用作检测记录/重放位置的基准时钟,或生成基准时钟的基准信号。因此,在使用光记录介质的过程中,根据存在于光记录介质上的摆动模式的摆动信号是非常重要的。
                     发明内容
为了解决上面问题,本发明的目的是提供利用从光记录介质检测到摆动信号检测摆动模式中的缺陷的设备和方法,借此,当在光记录介质上记录数据时,如果在摆动模式中存在缺陷,则对相应的缺陷区进行核验。
因此,为了达到上面的目的,本发明提供了检测在光记录介质上的摆动模式中的缺陷的设备,所述设备包括:锁相环(PLL),当施加来自摆动模式的摆动信号时,生成锁相环摆动信号和摆动时钟信号;窗信号发生器,当施加锁相环摆动信号和摆动时钟信号时,根据预定窗宽条件生成指示摆动窗时段(period)的信号;摆动锁定/开锁检测器,当施加摆动窗信号和摆动信号时,根据预定摆动锁定和开锁条件输出检测锁定状态和开锁状态之一的信号;和摆动缺陷检测器,当施加检测锁定状态和开锁状态之一的信号、摆动窗信号和摆动信号时,根据预定缺陷判定条件检测在摆动模式中是否存在什么缺陷。
最好,考虑摆动时钟信号的个数设定窗宽条件。考虑在摆动窗时段内存在摆动信号的连续检测次数设定摆动锁定条件,和考虑在摆动窗时段内不存在摆动信号的连续检测次数设定摆动开锁条件。考虑在摆动锁定状态下,在摆动窗时段内连续没有检测到摆动信号的次数设定预定缺陷判定条件。最好,摆动缺陷检测器检测对每个块或每个扇区是否存在缺陷。
本发明还提供了在光记录介质上检测摆动模式中缺陷的方法,所述方法包括:在锁相环(PLL)中锁相来自摆动模式的摆动信号,和生成锁相环摆动信号和摆动时钟信号;利用锁相环摆动信号和摆动时钟信号生成具有预定窗宽的摆动窗信号;当在通过摆动窗信号设定摆动窗时段内摆动信号的存在满足预定摆动锁定或开锁条件时,检测摆动锁定或开锁状态;和当摆动锁定状态下在摆动窗时段内摆动信号的存在满足预定缺陷判定条件时,生成缺陷检测信号。

                  具体实施方式
参照图1,本发明检测摆动缺陷的设备包括:锁相环(PLL)101、摆动窗信号发生器103、摆动锁定/开锁检测器105、和摆动缺陷检测器107。当通过射频放大器(RF-AMP)(未示出)从光记录介质(未示出)施加摆动信号时,PLL 101利用施加的摆动信号输出与重放时钟信号或信道时钟信号相对应的摆动时钟信号Wbclk、和锁相环信号PWB。如图2所示,PLL 101包括相位比较器201、低通滤波器LPF 202、压控振荡器(VCO)203、和分频器204。
也就是说,当用图3(a)所示的时段施加摆动信号时,相位比较器201将施加的摆动信号的相位与将摆动时钟信号Wbclk的频率除以186所得的锁相环摆动信号PWB的相位相比较,并输出比较结果。LPF 202从相位比较器201的输出中滤波出高频成分,并将该结果传送到VCO 203。VCO 203输出与LPF 202滤波的电压相对应的频率。也就是说,VCO 203输出与摆动信号与锁相环摆动信号的相位差相对应的频率。将摆动时钟信号Wbclk传送到摆动窗信号发生器103和分频器204。分频器204向相位比较器201和摆动窗信号发生器103输出将摆动时钟信号Wbclk除以186所得的锁相环摆动信号PWB。在这种情况中,输出的锁相环摆动信号PWB相对于施加的摆动信号,具有图3(b)所示的时段。
摆动窗信号发生器103根据施加到其中的锁相环摆动信号PWB,生成具有窗宽条件的摆动窗信号。也就是说,窗宽条件与摆动时钟信号Wbclk的个数有关。例如,如图3(c)所示,如果将窗宽条件设定成10,和根据锁相环摆动信号PWB的上升沿来设定,从锁相环摆动信号PWB的上升沿生成10个摆动时钟信号Wbclk的时段对应于其中摆动窗信号有效的状态(图3(c)中的“高电平”状态)。该时段是摆动窗信号的宽度。在这种情况中,从系统控制器(未示出)或微型计算机(micom)中提供窗宽条件,并将窗宽条件设定成使诸如摆动信号颤动之类的噪声可以得到解决。

参照图4,图4显示了摆动锁定/开锁检测器105的范例,该摆动锁定/开锁检测器105包括第一计数器401、第二计数器402、第一比较器403、第二比较器404、和摆动锁定/开锁信号发生器405。如果当摆动窗信号处于高电平时,摆动信号存在,则第一计数器401向上或向下计数摆动窗信号的个数。但是,如果当摆动窗信号处于高电平时,摆动信号不存在,则复位或清除第一计数器401。将计数值从第一计数器401输出到第一比较器403。第一比较器403将该计数值与预置的摆动锁定条件相比较。摆动锁定条件与系统控制器提供的、连续检测摆动信号的次数有关。例如,假定摆动锁定条件被设定成‘3’和第一计数器401是升值计数器,如果第一计数器401提供的计数值是3,则第一比较器403向摆动锁定/开锁信号发生器405输出请求生成指示摆动锁定状态的信号的信号。
如果当摆动窗信号处于高电平时,摆动信号不存在,则第二计数器402向上或向下计数摆动窗信号Wbclk的个数。反之,如果当摆动窗信号处于高电平时,摆动信号存在,则复位或清除第二计数器402。将计数值从第二计数器402输出到第二比较器404。第二比较器404将第二计数器402提供的计数值与预置的摆动开锁条件相比较。摆动开锁条件与系统控制器提供的、在连续检测期间没有检测到摆动信号的次数有关。例如,假定摆动开锁条件被设定成‘4’和第二计数器402是升值计数器,如果第二计数器402提供的计数值是4,则第二比较器404向摆动锁定/开锁信号发生器405输出请求生成指示摆动开锁状态的信号的信号。摆动锁定和开锁条件可以设定成相同的值。
摆动锁定/开锁信号发生器405根据第一和第二比较器403和404提供的比较结果,生成图3(d)所示的信号。
当施加摆动窗信号、窗锁定/开锁信号、和摆动信号时,如果在摆动锁定时段期间,在每个块或每个扇区的摆动窗时段内没有检测到摆动信号的次数满足缺陷判定条件,则摆动缺陷检测器107将其识别为摆动缺陷,输出摆动缺陷检测信号,如图3(e)所示。缺陷判定条件与没有检测到摆动信号的次数有关。例如,如果缺陷判定条件被设定成‘5’,如果在每个块或每个扇区的摆动窗时段内没有检测到摆动信号的次数是5,摆动缺陷检测器107输出指示在相应块或扇区中发生摆动缺陷的缺陷检测信号。系统控制器提供缺陷判定条件。块分割信号和扇区分割信号通过诸如光记录介质驱动器(或驱动器)中解码器(未示出)或编码器(未示出)生成的编码器/解码器块或扇区同步信号之类的控制信号提供。但是,在不能区分扇区的光记录介质的情况中,解码器提供块分割信号,而扇区分割信号则通过诸如扇区同步信号之类的、来自编码器的控制信号提供。
参照图5,图5显示了图1所示的摆动缺陷检测器107的范例,该摆动缺陷检测器107包括第三计数器501和第三比较器502。第三计数器501通过块分割信号和扇区分割信号复位或清除,实际计数摆动窗信号的个数的时段通过摆动锁定/开锁信号设定。如果在摆动锁定状态下,在摆动窗时段期间摆动信号不存在,则第三计数器501向上或向下计数摆动窗信号的个数。将计数结果从第三计数器501输出到第三比较器502。假定第三计数器501是升值计数器和缺陷判定条件被设定为‘5’,如果第三计数器501提供的计数值是‘5’,则第三比较器502输出缺陷检测信号。

本发明中每个信号的逻辑状态不受上面具体实施例的限制。也就是说,可以不同地设定每个信号的逻辑状态。例如,尽管在具体实施例中摆动窗信号的有效状态被设定在“高电平”上,但也可以将有效状态设定在“低电平”上。
根据本发明,如果在记录操作期间缺陷存在于具有预定摆动模式的光记录介质上扇区或块内的摆动模式中,则对记录在存在缺陷的扇区或块上的数据进行差错核验,从而使将数据记录在缺陷区上导致的数据损失降到最低程度。

Claims (8)

1.一种检测包含在光记录介质上的摆动模式中的缺陷的设备,所述设备包括:
锁相环(PLL),当施加来自摆动模式的摆动信号时,生成锁相环摆动信号和摆动时钟信号;
窗信号发生器,当施加锁相环摆动信号和摆动时钟信号时,根据预定窗宽条件生成指示摆动窗时段的信号;
摆动锁定/开锁检测器,当施加摆动窗信号和摆动信号时,根据预定摆动锁定和开锁条件输出检测摆动锁定状态和开锁状态之一的信号;和
摆动缺陷检测器,当施加检测摆动锁定状态和开锁状态之一的信号、摆动窗信号和摆动信号时,根据预定缺陷判定条件检测在摆动模式中是否存在任何缺陷。
2.根据权利要求1所述的设备,其中考虑摆动时钟信号的个数设定所述窗宽条件。
