Abstract

Description
本发明涉及不饱和脂肪酸、不饱和脂肪酸酯、不饱和烃或这些化合物的不饱和衍生物,通过介电加热,即在微波频率或射频下加热聚合的方法。
脂肪酸或不饱和脂肪酸酯聚合得到的化合物是已知的。特别可以举出由不饱和植物油得到的聚合物。此聚合方法使用了脂肪酸的双键,或者在初步处理(异构化)以后使用了共轭双键。
现在制备这些聚合物如吹制油或熟亚麻仁油的方法,其特征在于在催化剂(均相或非均相)存在下使用了热量(热聚合)。使用如氧气或蒽醌能够得到高粘度的聚合物,但在制备以后这种聚合物有很高的活性,这只在须要使产品干燥(交联现象)如涂料的应用领域内才有意义。
另一方面,在如润滑、化妆或制药领域,倒是研究了在外界制约(氧、水)下是稳定的聚合物。在化妆和在制药行业,还要加上除去极微量催化剂的限制。
在此技术条件下开发了许多聚合物:它们优选在没有催化剂存在,和在没有氧的气氛中由三甘油酯制备,其中至少一种脂肪酸包括至少一种是不饱和的(共轭的或非共轭的)。这些开发使用了热方法,比如加热带、gilothermes或电阻加热,这些都需要许多时间,一般妨碍得到具有高粘度的聚合物;另外由于必须很多投资,就很昂贵。
本发明能够减轻这些主要的缺点。使用微波或者射频具有双重的意义:一方面,微波能或高频能同时在分子水平发生作用,另一方面需要的能量较少(正是分子本身被微波或射频电场极化,将电磁能转化为热能)。
按照本发明的第一方面,本申请人发现,不饱和脂肪酸、不饱和脂肪酸酯、不饱和烃、这些化合物的不饱和衍生物或它们的混合物,通过介电加热,即借助于微波频率或射频,优选微波的加热而引起的聚合反应,能够以更有利的反应时间得到高粘度的产物。
因此,本发明涉及不饱和脂肪酸、不饱和脂肪酸酯、不饱和烃、这些化合物的衍生物和类似的化合物,通过介电加热,即借助于微波频率或射频,优选微波的加热而进行聚合的一般方法。
在工业中利用微波能是已知的,但那是在不同领域内及为了回答不同的问题,特别是在环氧树脂和类似的领域。
对上述类型化合物的聚合还没有对微波或射频的叙述,特别是没有叙述到角鲨烯。
更没有叙述在化妆领域使用的角鲨烷能够很有利地被由本发明方法廉价地获得的角鲨烯聚合物代替。
在时间和能量上的收益,再结合很低的投资,这就能够确定介电加热的方法是更迅速、更经济的。
本发明着眼于不饱和脂肪酸、不饱和脂肪酸酯、不饱和烃:植物油、动物油和脂以及它们的不饱和衍生物的聚合。这些化合物能够用其粗品或精制的形式,任选地受到预先的处理。
此反应可以仅涉及一种反应物,或者涉及不同比例的混合反应物。
让一种或几种反应物在介电加热下,即在大约30GHz~3MHz的频率加热下进行聚合。优选使用的微波频率是30GHz~300MHz,优选是2.45GHz(频率允许公差2%)或915MHz(频率允许公差1.4%)。射频为300MHz~3MHz,优选13.56MHz(频率允许公差0.05%)或27.12MHz(频率允许公差0.6%)。
反应温度为200~400℃,更好是230~350℃,在此温度下放置3~60分钟,更好是3~20分钟,但反应总时间为15分钟至15小时,优选15~360分钟,更好是15~120分钟,使用或不使用催化剂,优选不使用催化剂,反应在搅拌下,在惰性气氛或没有惰性气氛下进行,这要根据希望得到的化合物来确定。
对于本发明,聚合的一种换几种反应物选自动物油脂或植物油脂和选自聚萜烯,其中的某些来自所述的油或脂。
作为动物来源的油或脂,其中特别可以举出抹香鲸油、海豚油、鲸油、海豹油、沙丁鱼油、鲱鱼油、角鲨油、鳕鱼肝油、牛脚油、牛脂、猪脂、马脂、绵羊脂。
作为植物来源的油脂,其中特别可以举出菜子油、葵花子油、花生油、橄榄油、核桃橄榄油、玉米油、大豆油、亚麻籽油、大麻子油、葡萄籽油、椰子油、棕榈油、棉籽油、巴巴苏油、希蒙德木油、芝麻油、蓖麻籽油、脱水蓖麻籽油、榛子油、麦芽油、琉璃苣油、月见草油、妥尔油。
还可以使用动物油或植物油的组分,比如从植物油(橄榄油、花生油、菜子油、玉米芽油、棉籽油、麦芽油、米糠油)的不可皂化物提取的或者大量含在角鲨油中的角鲨烯。
作为不饱和脂肪酸,作为非限定性的例子可以单独或混合使用一种或几种单不饱和的脂肪酸,比如油酸、棕榈油酸、肉豆蔻酸、岩芹酸、芥酸等、一种或几种多不饱和脂肪酸,比如亚油酸、α-亚油酸和γ-亚油酸、花生油酸、一种或几种含有共轭二烯或共轭三烯的酸,比如里卡尼阿酸或亚麻油酸异构体或亚麻油酸、一种或几种含有一个或几个羟基的酸,比如蓖麻醇酸。
作为不饱和脂肪酸酯,作为非限定性的例子可以单独或混合使用一种或几种由一元醇和/或多元醇(单用或混合使用)与至少一种不饱和脂肪酸的酯化而得到的酯,作为一元醇的非限定性例子可以举出甲醇、乙醇或丁醇;作为多元醇的非限定性例子,可以举出甘油、山梨糖醇、新戊二醇、三甲基丙烷(原文如此,疑应为三羟甲基丙烷—译注)、季戊四醇、乙二醇、聚乙二醇。还可以使用蜡和磷脂作为脂肪酸酯。
作为不饱和烃,作为单独或混合使用非限定性的例子,可以使用烯烃类,比如一种或几种氧化或未氧化的萜烯,即一种或几种异戊二烯的聚合物、或者一种或几种异丁烯、苯乙烯、乙烯、丁二烯、异戊二烯、丙烯的聚合物、或者这些烯烃的一种或几种共聚物。
可以通过比如先有技术专业人员已知的各种方法使其余的不饱和度官能化得到这些化合物的衍生物,比如加氢、羟基化、环氧化或磺化。
作为反应物或混合反应物,将优选单独使用,或与一种或几种不饱和烃混合使用一种或几种含有至少一个不饱和度的不饱和脂肪酸酯或其衍生物(部分加氢脂肪酸的酰胺、酯、聚环氧乙烷化的脂肪酸酯等)。
专业人员将理解,本发明还应用于类似的化合物,即其化学结构将使微波或射频对聚合反应有相同的作用。
本发明在角鲨烯或菠菜烯方面找到特别有意义的应用。这涉及到胆固醇前体,特别在鲨鱼肝中找到它。对于其很强的软化、抗真菌和抗菌性能是众所周知的。它具有很好的非油脂触感,这在化妆品领域是现实的优点。
我们知道通过石蜡精炼进行操作的专利FR-2576303。我们还知道在专利EP0228980中叙述的制造方法。
我们也知道给角鲨烯的六个双键加氢以得到用于化妆品中的角鲨烷。但此技术由于其本质而特别昂贵,对工业是个问题。
最后,我们知道由精炼橄榄油的副产品得到一种酯,精馏此酯得到可以回收的角鲨烯。
正如我们能够观察到的,对角鲨烯及其衍生物进行了很好的研究,这成为此产品有工业价值的手段。
正如在前面所指出的,这些产品在化妆领域具有很大的潜在意义。但是,如果我们研究角鲨烯聚合得到可在化妆品中应用的聚合物,就发现先有技术使用了很昂贵的加热方法。
按照本发明使用微波或高频使角鲨烯聚合就解决了上面叙述的问题。
下面进行的叙述将更详细地将本发明用于此产品。
人类皮脂中角鲨烯的含量高于10%,从这里可看到其对皮肤和化妆上的意义。实际上,角鲨烯使皮肤柔软(软化性能)并参与其保护的功能(抗菌、抗真菌)。它是活性成分(应用于皮肤病)的良好载体。可是化妆品业更喜欢使用角鲨烷(加氢的角鲨烯),因为它饱和而对氧稳定。角鲨烯加氢成本高昂,而与传统的烃类如石蜡油或石蜡相比只带来一点点差别。
按照本发明的第二方面,申请人建议优选以角鲨烯代替角鲨烷,借助于微波或射频频率聚合的角鲨烯,单独使用或与一种或几种不饱和脂肪酸或脂肪酸酯或植物或动物油或其它不饱和烃合用。有时用角鲨烷被加氢聚异丁烯(不饱和烃)代替时,能够用聚异丁烯代替角鲨烯而不离开本发明的范围。
这些动物源或植物源的油脂及其衍生物能够预先进行处理旨在赋予更强的活性或者相反赋予更弱的活性。本发明就象涉及单独的反应物一样也涉及包括两个或多个组分或活性物的混合反应物。这些混合反应物可以包括各自相等含量的组分,或者某些组分占大多数。
通过将反应物或混合反应物进行介电加热,即在微波或射频下加热就实现了聚合。所选的温度优选在200~400℃,更好是220~350℃。
使用微波或射频频率升温的时间(即为自环境温度到聚合反应温度的时间)指定为3~60分钟,更好是3~20分钟。
缩短升温时间可以在理想条件下加速反应物的聚合物,以及缩短反应的总时间,但要求在短时间内更大的功率。
反应总时间取决于使用的一种或几种反应物或希望得到的粘度,此时间优选为15分钟~15小时,更优选为15~360分钟,更好是15~120分钟。使用更高的温度将缩短反应总时间。然而太高的温度会引起产物降解。
因此应该选择反应时间/反应总时间的偶合使得优化聚合反应,做到以短的时间而又不消耗太大的能量,还没有产品分解的危险。专业人员将借助于常规的实验,按照已经指出的准则实施这些参数的优化。
此聚合反应可以使用也可以不使用催化剂。催化剂可以是均相的,也可以是非均相的。作为均相催化剂的例子可以举出蒽醌、硫酸酐或可溶性镍盐。作为非均相催化剂的例子可以举出沸石或酸形式的离子交换树脂。优选使用特别适合于射频或微波频率的催化剂,比如蒙脱石或膨润土,为的是在介电加热下增加分子的相互作用。
将会证实,搅拌足可以保证反应器内的均匀。
能够在正常气氛或富氧气氛(比如为制造吹制油)下进行聚合反应,或者,优选在惰性气氛下(在氮气、氩气、氦气或其它稀有气体,单独或混合使用)进行。优选在仔细更换气氛的同时在减压下进行。
在角鲨烯的情况下,本发明包括借助于前面叙述的方法,通过上述的至少一个反应物单独或混合聚合,减少不饱和键的数目,就能够得到对氧化稳定的聚合物,该聚合物的粘度与聚合度有关。如此就给角鲨烯提供了第二种功能。如此得到的聚合物除了其软化剂的一面以外,对化妆产品的配方来说还将是增稠剂。此外,上述的聚合方法比加氢的方法更廉价,因为加氢要使用昂贵的催化剂。
可以“分批”(即非连续地)进行聚合的操作,但优选使用连续的方法在时间的限度内进行反应。
为了停止反应,降低反应混合物的温度,使得低于反应温度就足够了。该温度基本取决于反应混合物。应该注意到,使用微波或射频频率是在特别有利的操作模式下,因为反应器的壁不是惰性的。
一系列补充的步骤能够根据最终用户的需要精制聚合物。可以降低所得到聚合物的酸指数、降低其水含量和脱除颜色。
这些精制步骤是先有技术的专业人员已知的。可以提到有几种。
降低酸指数,酸指数反映聚合物中游离羧酸的数量,再单独或混合地过量加入选自醇、环氧化合物、氢氧化物、甘油酯等化合物就可做到。在如此合成了酯、盐的同时就中和了酸度。为此,降低反应混合物的温度直到这些酯、盐等的反应温度就足够了。
应该注意到,由于微波频率或射频将给此步骤赢得时间,因为根据聚合物不同反应时间将为3分钟~3小时,而传统的加热方法平均要5倍多的时间。
除臭可以由水蒸汽蒸馏来实现,此操作在50~240℃的温度下进行。
在此步骤以后,可以通过传统的加热方法(用传统加热方法达到水的沸点并真空下蒸出,或者使用脱水化合物),或是通过优选使用的介电加热的方法,即使用微波频率或射频使水分子反应,这样还节省了时间。先有技术的专业人员将能够根据所设想的应用来确定适当的水含量的降低程度;比如润滑剂就希望水含量低于500ppm。
当认为原料反应物或反应混合物的含水量太高时,在进行聚合反应的步骤之前就要降低水含量,如上所述能够使用传统的加热方法,或者优选使用介电加热的方法。作为例子,在这样操作时可以减缓当反应混合物是酯类化合物时,在聚合反应终了时,由于有严重的水解现象发生,而导致酸指数的升高。
由使用双氧水或者使用脱色土,或者将得到的聚合物通过活性炭过滤器就能够进行脱色。
得到的聚合物就可以用于以下方面,作为非限定性的例子有:
—制备涂料、胶水、粘接剂,如果选择干性反应物,如亚麻油(制造熟桐油或吹制油)或混合干性反应物;
—制备润滑油或润滑油性能添加剂,如果选择低干性的反应物,如葵花子油、大豆油或canola油;
—制备化妆产品,如果选择的反应混合物相对于100~0wt%的脂肪酸酯或不饱和植物油(葵花子油、大豆油、菜子油、蓖麻油等)含有比如0~100wt%的角鲨烯或聚异丁烯;
—制备塑料、橡胶等作为增塑剂。
下面的实施例不是限定,用来说明本发明的意义和范围。它们旨在说明,使用微波换射频能够令人意外地加速这些反应物的聚合速度。这就是为什么不增加精制的步骤,虽然它具有意义但很少被展示。
使用Prolabo公司的Synthewave(TM)微波炉制备聚合物。此设备装有波导管能够把微波能集中到反应物上。对于600W的消耗释放出300W。波长是2.45GHz。在250mL的石英反应器中装有100mL的测试反应物。控制此设备,使其升温与在传统方法中观察到的升温一样。这就能证明微波有催化的效果。但是,在微波的情况下,与传统的加热方法相比,能减少升温时间达80%。
再进行同样的实验,只是用传统的加热方法。在250mL反应器中装入100mL测试反应物,用电阻外加热。
在两种情况下的搅拌速度都是60~100rpm(随粘度增加而改变)。

所指出的温度是升温后的平均温度。应该注意到,在微波频率加热情况下观察到的温度梯度与用传统方法加热情况下所观察的温度梯度相反。在第一种情况下,反应器的壁温低于反应混合物介质的温度,而在第二种情况下,正好相反。因此采取平均温度是重要的。
粘度是在40℃下的动力学粘度,结果用Pa·s表示。用Carry MedTM型流变仪进行这些测量。结果证明了聚合物的形成。
碘指数能够度量发生反应的不饱和度。使用的是标准NF ISO3961。
很明显,反应温度的水平实际上影响最终产物的粘度。在所有的情况下,证实使用微波频率能够明显地缩短反应时间。
化妆品上的应用
我们改变了护手乳脂的配方,用在300下介电加热1小时的聚合葵花子油(HTP)全部或部分代替下面各个组分:

此改进的配方具有如下的好处:
—在涂施时用肥皂少;
—有更好的软化性能(使皮肤柔软)
—形成屏障保持皮肤的水合状况。
聚合葵花子油优选用于化妆品的配方,因为:
—当增加水含量时,该配方的软化能力高;
—HTP有增粘的能力;
—HTP是助乳化剂(增稠剂)。
聚合物的分析
用高性能液相色谱(IUPAC2,508)测定了4份聚合葵花子油试样的三甘油酯聚合物的百分比,它们具有同样的粘度(在40℃下为460cSt),但是是借助于本发明的介电加热(CD)或借助于传统加热(CT)而制造的。

试样107和163的色谱在峰值保留时间TR=6.65min处有一个初始的凸台。
用来测定三甘油酯聚合物剂量的IUPAC 2,508方法完全适合于借助于传统加热方法制造的三甘油酯聚合物,但不适合于借助于介电加热方法制造的三甘油酯聚合物。
这里我们证实了用此新方法得到的聚合物的特殊性。
附图1至图12表示在每个图上由适当的说明所指出条件下所得到的色谱图。
本方法定性的优点
避免了“起燃”
传统的加热,即通过传导加热器壁,它同样再加热产品。在壁和中心之间温度梯度很大,即使在搅拌下,这也会促使在靠近器壁之处分子的过热现象。起燃(在脂肪类物质的情况下,这是炭化的开始,它可能表现为起皮)对于脂肪类物质显示出要超过根据产品类型不同而不同的发烟点。葵花子油的发烟点大约为150℃。因此,对于植物油聚合而沾染反应器须要我们帮助进行大量的清扫工作。在使用介电加热的情况下,看不到出现这种现象。在传统加热的情况下,越是缩短升温时间,沾染就越严重。而在介电加热的情况下看不到这种现象。
避免惯性
各种传统的加热都有惯性,这来自器壁保存热量的能力。设备停止操作并未带来反应物温度的下降,存在着潜在的时间。而用介电加热,电磁波停止产品的温度立即开始降低。
本方法的定量优点
使用本发明范围内的介电加热的重大意义之一就是,明显地缩短了升温时间而没有观察到起燃的现象。
进行了如下的实验:在一个置于波导管中的直径40mm的石英坩埚内在搅拌下放入33g葵花子油。借助于频率2.45GHz的微波发生器向试样发射功率1,000W。使用荧光光学温度计(不影响电磁场),在微波加热时,借助于浸入油里的光纤探头来测量温度。此油用了75s由20℃到达320℃。
第二个实验包括只在实验中用热空气流代替电磁场,在坩埚壁附近其温度高于400℃(3分钟以后为474℃)。不仅用了7.5分钟此油才达到320℃,而且注意到坩埚壁的沾染。这是因为在坩埚内部的温度梯度很大。不超过377℃重复此实验。这次用了24分钟油达到320℃。

其它有意义的原料
植物油越是不饱和,此油的聚合反应就越快。同样为了缩短反应时间,使用与单不饱和或多不饱和油的混合物可能是有益的,即具有高共轭脂肪酸(比如共轭二烯或三烯)含量的油。在这些油中,可以举出桐油(含有70~80%的α-桐酸)、将亚油酸异构化(比如用碱性催化剂将葵花子油异构化)得到高含量共轭亚油酸的油、来自某些葫芦科种子的油(大约20%的石榴酸)、oiticia油(大约80%的十八碳-3-烯-4-桐酸)、金盏花油(含高于55%的金盏花酸(8t,10t,12c—18∶3))或脱水蓖麻油。
脱水蓖麻油具有的优点是能够由市场上大量购买的油中得到(每年全世界蓖麻油的产量是几千吨—来源:Oil World Annual),再有获得蓖麻油比接合富含亚油酸的油要容易得多。
在酸性催化剂存在下,在230~250℃的温度范围内加热蓖麻油就得到脱水蓖麻油。
本申请人发现,使用介电加热可以缩短蓖麻油脱水反应的时间。
蓖麻油的脂肪酸组成如下(%):

当进行蓖麻油脱水时,粘度降低,碘指数增加。此实验表明,在介电加热下蓖麻油脱水比传统加热要快。对于一个优异的结果,赢得了2小时的反应时间。
然后可将此介电加热的脱水蓖麻油用来与单不饱和或多不饱和植物油如菜子油或葵花子油聚合。这样在惰性气氛下在1小时内就得到了很高粘度的共聚物。
本发明还涉及如此得到的聚合物和它们在皮肤科或化妆品方面的应用,或者在制备添加剂,特别是润滑油、塑料、橡胶和类似物品添加剂方面的应用。
本发明还涉及如此得到的皮肤科或化妆品方面的产品,或者含有至少一种这样的聚合物以及添加剂的产品,特别是用于润滑油、塑料、橡胶和类似物的添加剂。
本发明最后涉及含有至少一种这样添加剂的工业品。
以说明和非限定地叙述了本发明。当然能够进行各种有效的改变而不离开其框架。
Claims (34)
1.不饱和脂肪酸、不饱和脂肪酸酯、不饱和烃、这些化合物的不饱和衍生物的聚合方法,其特征在于,反应物或反应混合物经介电加热发生聚合。
2.如权利要求1的方法,其特征在于,使用微波频率进行加热。
3.如权利要求1的方法,其特征在于,使用射频进行加热。
4.如前面权利要求中任何一项的方法,其特征在于,使用或不使用催化剂实施此方法。
5.如前面权利要求中任何一项的方法,其特征在于,一种或几种反应物是脂肪酸、脂肪酸酯、植物油或动物油、聚萜烯或聚异丁烯类烃、含有至少一个不饱和度的这些化合物的衍生物,它们可以单独使用或混合使用。
6.如前面权利要求中任何一项的方法,其特征在于,一种或几种反应物选自不饱和植物油或动物油(菜子油、葵花子油、大豆油、蓖麻油),其不饱和度是共轭的或非共轭的。
7.如前面权利要求中任何一项的方法,其特征在于,在反应物或反应混合物中加入非均相或均相催化剂。

19.如前面权利要求中任何一项的方法,其特征在于,让反应物或反应混合物降温或冷却到低于聚合温度的温度下停止聚合反应,这要根据希望得到的粘度来确定。
20.如前面权利要求中任何一项的方法,其特征在于,通过单独加入或联合加入过量的试剂,如醇、环氧化合物、甘油酯、羟基化合物来中和酸性。
