本发明还涉及这些颜料颗粒的生产及其在高分子量的有机和无机材料着色中的用途。
液体体系如涂料、清漆、乳胶漆和印刷油墨通常使用颜料配制剂着色,所述颜料配制剂包含水、有机溶剂或其混合物。除了阴离子、阳离子、非离子或两性分散剂外,这些颜料配制剂通常必须添加用于稳定化的其他助剂,如干壳抑制剂、防冻性增强剂、增稠剂和防结皮剂。

本发明的目的是提供具有全部有利的应用性能,尤其是高颜色强度和在宽范围的应用介质中特别良好的调入分散性的固体颜料制剂。

常用作填料的无机颜料的实例是透明的二氧化硅、磨碎的石英、氧化铝、氢氧化铝、硫化锌、天然云母、天然和沉淀白垩以及硫酸钡。
光泽颜料是具有单相或多相结构的片状颜料,其颜色变换因干涉、反射和吸收现象的相互作用而显著。实例是铝片和铝、氧化铁以及带有一种或多种涂层,尤其是金属氧化物涂层的云母片。
本发明的颜料颗粒中的组分(B)为至少一种基于聚醚的非离子表面活性添加剂。
除了未混合的聚氧化烯,尤其是聚氧化乙烯和聚氧化丙烯外,氧化烯嵌段共聚物尤其可以用作组分(B)。
包含聚氧化丙烯和聚氧化乙烯嵌段的共聚物非常合适。它们象未混合的聚氧化烯一样可以通过这些氧化烯在饱和或不饱和脂族和芳族醇以及脂族胺上的加聚而得到,此时这些起始剂化合物首先与氧化乙烯反应,然后与氧化丙烯反应,或优选首先与氧化丙烯反应,然后与氧化乙烯反应。因此优选的是,组分(B)包含氧化烯与胺或醇的加合物。
合适的脂族醇通常含有6-26个碳原子,优选8-18个碳原子。实例有辛醇、壬醇、癸醇、异癸醇、十一烷醇、十二烷醇、2-丁基辛醇、十三烷醇、异十三烷醇、十四烷醇、十五烷醇、十六烷醇、2-己基癸醇、十七烷醇、十八烷醇、2-庚基十一烷醇、2-辛基癸醇、2-壬基十三烷醇、2-癸基十四烷醇、油醇和9-十八烷醇以及这些醇的混合物如C13/C15和C16/C18醇。特别令人感兴趣的是通过油脂水解和还原而由天然原料得到的脂肪醇和来自羰基合成方法的合成脂肪醇。氧化烯与这些醇的加合物通常具有400-2000的平均分子量Mn。
有用的芳族醇除了α-和β-萘酚及其C1-C4烷基衍生物外还尤其包括苯酚及其C1-C12烷基衍生物,如己基苯酚、庚基苯酚、辛基苯酚、壬基苯酚、异壬基苯酚、十一烷基苯酚、十二烷基苯酚、二-和三-丁基苯酚以及二壬基苯酚。
有用的脂族胺对应于上述脂族醇。
除了氧化烯与这些单官能胺和醇的加合物外,氧化烯与至少双官能胺和醇的加合物非常令人感兴趣。
至少双官能胺优选具有2-5个胺基且尤其具有式H2N-(R-NR1)n-H(R:C2-C6亚烷基;R1:氢或C1-C6烷基;n:1-5)。具体实例是乙二胺、二亚乙基三胺、三亚乙基四胺、四亚乙基五胺、1,3-丙二胺、二亚丙基三胺、3-氨基-1-亚乙基氨基丙烷、六亚甲基二胺、二-六亚甲基三胺、1,6-双(3-氨基丙基氨基)己烷和N-甲基二亚丙基三胺,其中更优选六亚甲基二胺和二亚乙基三胺,最优选乙二胺。
这些胺优选首先与氧化丙烯反应,然后与氧化乙烯反应。嵌段共聚物的氧化乙烯含量通常为约10-90重量%。
基于聚胺的嵌段共聚物通常具有的平均分子量Mn为1000-40000,优选1500-30000。
至少双官能醇优选具有2-5个羟基。实例是C2-C6亚烷基二醇以及对应的二-和聚亚烷基二醇,如乙二醇、1,2-丙二醇、1,3-丙二醇、1,2-丁二醇、1,4-丁二醇、1,6-己二醇、二丙二醇和聚乙二醇、甘油和季戊四醇,其中更优选乙二醇和聚乙二醇,最优选丙二醇和二丙二醇。
特别优选的氧化烯与至少双官能醇的加合物具有中心聚氧化丙烯嵌段,即基于首先与进一步的氧化丙烯反应、然后与氧化乙烯反应的丙二醇或聚丙二醇。嵌段共聚物的氧化乙烯含量通常为10-90重量%。
基于多元醇的嵌段共聚物通常具有的平均分子量Mn为1000-20000,优选1000-15000。
因此,在一个优选实施方案中,组分(B)包含通过氧化丙烯和氧化乙烯与至少双官能胺或醇的依次加聚得到的嵌段共聚物。
这类氧化烯嵌段共聚物是已知的且可以市购,例如以商品名Tetronic和Pluronic(BASF)市购。
氧化烯嵌段共聚物(B)具有不同亲水-亲油平衡(HLB)值,这取决于在其中使用本发明颜料颗粒的应用介质。
为了用于水性、水性/醇性和醇性体系,优选具有的HLB值约为≥10的氧化烯嵌段共聚物(B),其对应于共聚物的氧化乙烯含量通常≥25重量%。
为了将本发明的颜料颗粒在烃质,例如含矿物油的体系或二甲苯体系或基于硝基纤维素的体系中应用,特别合适的是HLB值为约<10的氧化烯嵌段共聚物(B),该HLB值对应于该共聚物的氧化乙烯含量通常<25重量%。
本发明的颜料颗粒包括60-90重量%,优选70-85重量%的组分(A)和10-40重量%,优选10-30重量%的组分(B)。
它们可有利地通过在部分或所有非离子添加剂(B)存在下在水悬浮液中湿磨颜料(A)并随后将所述悬浮液喷雾造粒而由本发明方法得到,所述喷雾造粒可能的话在加入其余添加剂(B)之后进行。
颜料(A)可以干粉形式或滤饼形式用于本发明方法中。
所用颜料(A)是整理过的产品,即该颜料的初级粒度已经被调整到所需的应用值。尤其在有机颜料情况下,该整理是必需的,因为合成出的粗材料不适合使用。在无机颜料情况下,例如在氧化物和钒酸铋颜料情况下,初级粒度也可以在颜料合成过程中调节,从而可以将合成出的颜料悬浮液直接用于本发明方法中。
因为整理过的颜料(A)通常在干燥过程中或在过滤组件上再附聚,所以将其湿研磨,例如在搅拌介质磨中在水悬浮液中研磨。
湿研磨应在至少一部分用于易于生产的颜料颗粒的添加剂(B)存在下进行,并且优选在湿研磨之前加入全部量的添加剂(B)。
喷雾造粒优选使用同一材料喷嘴(Einstoffdüse)在喷雾塔中进行。此时将悬浮液以较大的液滴喷雾,并蒸发水。添加剂(B)在干燥温度下熔融并因此导致形成具有特别光滑的表面的基本球形颗粒。
在喷雾塔中的气体入口温度通常为180-300℃,优选150-300℃。气体出口温度通常为70-150℃,优选70-130℃。
得到的粒状颜料的残留水分含量通常为<2重量%。
本发明的颜料颗粒尤其因其优异的着色性能以及尤其是其调入特性而具有显著的用途,这些着色性能与液体颜料配制剂相当,尤其是颜色强度、亮度、色调和遮盖力,搅入特性是指它们可以简单地通过搅拌或振摇而以最小的能量输入分散在应用介质中。
与液体颜料配制剂相比,本发明的颜料颗粒额外具有下列优点:它们具有更高的颜料含量。液体配制剂倾向于在储存过程中发生粘度变化且必须与防腐剂和用于提高防冻性和/或防干性的试剂混合,但本发明的颜料颗粒呈现非常良好的储存稳定性。它们就包装、储存和运输而言在经济上和生态上均是有利的。因为它们不含溶剂,因此在使用上更灵活。
本发明的颜料颗粒具有显著优异的抗磨性、最小的压缩或团聚倾向、均匀的粒度分布、良好的倾倒性、流动性和计量加入性以及处理和应用时的无尘性。
本发明的颜料颗粒对任何类型的高分子量的有机和无机材料的着色非常有用。此时的液体应用介质可以是纯水性的,包含水和有机溶剂如醇的混合物,或仅基于有机溶剂如醇,乙二醇醚,酮如甲基乙基酮,酰胺,如N-甲基吡咯烷酮和二甲基甲酰胺,酯如乙酸乙酯,乙酸丁酯和乙酸甲氧基丙基酯,或芳族或脂族烃,如二甲苯,矿物油和溶剂油。
当本发明的颜料颗粒所包含的添加剂(B)的HLB值如上所述不适合应用介质的特性时,可以首先将颗粒搅入与特定应用介质相容的溶剂中(以最小的能量输入搅入溶剂中再次成为可能),然后将其引入该应用介质中。例如,具有高HLB值的颜料颗粒在二醇或常用于油漆和涂料工业的其他溶剂如乙酸甲氧基丙基酯中的淤浆可以用于使颜料颗粒与烃质体系或基于硝基纤维素的体系相容。
可以用本发明的颜料颗粒着色的材料的实例包括涂料,例如建筑涂料、工业涂料、汽车涂料、可辐射固化涂料;油漆,包括建筑外墙和建筑内墙用油漆,例如木漆、白漆、刷墙粉、乳胶漆;溶剂性印刷油墨,例如胶版印刷油墨,曲面印刷油墨,甲苯凹版印刷油墨,织物印刷油墨,可辐射固化油墨;水性油墨,包括喷墨油墨;彩色过滤器;建筑材料(通常仅在建筑材料和粒状颜料干混后加入水),例如硅酸盐打底体系、水泥、混凝土、灰泥、石膏;沥青、堵缝胶;纤维素材料,例如纸张、纸板、硬纸板、木材和木质基材,它们各自可以被涂敷或涂饰;粘合剂;例如用于药物工业中的成膜聚合物保护性胶体;化妆品制品;洗涤剂。
实施例
本发明颜料颗粒的生产和测试
颜料颗粒通过将20kg(实施例1:35kg)添加剂(B)和80kg整理过的颜料(A)的悬浮液球磨至d50值为0.8μm,然后将该混合物使用单一材料喷嘴在喷雾塔中喷雾造粒(气体入口温度170℃,气体出口温度80℃)而生产。
颜料颗粒的颜色强度在水性乳胶漆中以白色稀释体系(报道为DIN55986着色当量(CE))比色测定。为此,在每种情况下将1.25g粒状颜料和50g具有16.4重量%的白色颜料含量(TiO2,Kronos 2043)(BASF测试粘合剂00-1067)的水性苯乙烯-丙烯酸酯基测试粘合剂的混合物在150ml塑料烧杯中通过以1500rpm运行高速搅拌机3分钟而均化。然后使用100μm线绕膜施涂器将所得色浆施涂于黑色和白色试验卡上并干燥30分钟。
将使用颜料的市售含水配制剂生产的对应乳胶漆的CE值设定为标准值100。CE值<100是指颜色强度高于该标准值,CE值>100因此是指更低的颜色强度。
下表列出了所生产的颜料颗粒的详情(组成、d50平均粒度、BET表面积)以及各自所得的CE值。所用非离子添加剂(B)如下:
B1:基于乙二胺/氧化丙烯/氧化乙烯的嵌段共聚物,氧化乙烯含量为40重量%且平均分子量Mn为12000
B2:基于乙二胺/氧化丙烯/氧化乙烯的嵌段共聚物,氧化乙烯含量为40重量%且平均分子量Mn为6700
B3:具有中心氧化丙烯嵌段的氧化丙烯/氧化乙烯嵌段共聚物,氧化乙烯含量为50重量%且平均分子量Mn为6500

Claims (6)
1.平均粒度为50-5000μm且BET表面积为≤15m2/g的颜料颗粒,包括如下组分:
(A)60-90重量%的至少一种颜料,和
(B)10-40重量%的至少一种基于聚醚的非离子表面活性添加剂,并且该组分包含氧化烯与胺或醇的加合物,
所述颗粒可通过在部分或所有所述添加剂(B)存在下在水悬浮液中湿磨所述颜料(A)并随后将所述悬浮液喷雾造粒而得到,所述喷雾造粒可能的话在加入其余添加剂(B)之后进行。
2.如权利要求1所要求的颜料颗粒,其中所述组分(B)包含通过氧化丙烯和氧化乙烯与至少双官能胺或醇的依次加聚得到的嵌段共聚物。
3.一种生产如权利要求1或2所要求的颜料颗粒的方法,包括在部分或所有所述添加剂(B)存在下在水悬浮液中湿磨所述颜料(A)并随后将所述悬浮液喷雾造粒,所述喷雾造粒可能的话在加入其余添加剂(B)之后进行。
4.如权利要求3所要求的方法,其中所述喷雾造粒使用同一材料喷嘴在喷雾塔中进行。
5.一种对高分子量的有机和无机材料进行着色的方法,包括通过搅拌或振摇将如权利要求1或2所要求的颜料颗粒掺入这些材料中。
6.如权利要求5所要求的方法,用于对其中液相包含水、有机溶剂或水和有机溶剂的混合物的涂料、油漆、油墨、建筑材料和纤维素体系进行着色。
