Abstract

Description
本发明涉及多层容器,尤其涉及一种由一较硬的外层塑料主体和一较软的塑料内衬组成的容器。
以前也曾设想过设计一种由一较硬的外层塑料主体和一层较软的塑料内衬组成的容器。该塑料主体在其一端上具有一个分配口而在另外一端上具有一个大气压力孔。内衬与分配口相连接。当这种容器与例如泵或喷雾器配合使用时,随着物料的分配,内衬与塑料主体将会分离并在外壳内褶皱,同时空气通过大气压力孔进入外壳和褶皱的内衬之间。
由于在物料分配时内衬发生褶皱,因此将会沿内衬的折痕和折缝出现应力裂纹和小孔,从而导致物料的泄漏和流失。所以本发明总的目的在于:提供一种随着物料的分配其内衬能够容易地从较硬的塑料主体上分离而且其内衬不仅能够改善阻隔性能并能够提高柔性来消除应力裂纹和小孔的多层容器。本发明的另一目的在于:提供一种与现有结构的容器相比能够降低物料流失的容器。本发明又一目的在于:提供一种具有上述特征的多层容器,这种容器的外壳采用再研磨塑料来提高碎片和废料的再回收性。
用来分配物料的多层容器包括一较硬的外层塑料主体和一用来容纳将被分配之物料的较软塑料内衬。根据本发明的一个方面,较硬的外层塑料主体包括,并且最好大体包括,由象HDPE那样的纯聚乙烯制成的外层,和包括再研磨材料的较厚内层。根据本方面的另一方面,较软的内衬包括,并且最好大体包括,由尼龙、混纺尼龙或EVOH制成并与主体内层相邻的一个可分离外层,和由象LLDPE那样的聚乙烯制成的一内层,以及用来粘结内衬之外层和内层的粘结剂。塑料主体中较薄的HDPE外层提供了所需的外观,同时利用再研磨塑料制成的较厚内层提供了结构刚度。由尼龙、混纺尼龙或EVOH制成的外衬层改善了对水、气体和气味之移动的阻隔性,同时LLDPE内层也增强了柔性,降低了裂纹的可能性,增加了阻隔性。

附图示出了根据本发明一最佳实施例的容器10,该容器10由一较硬的外层塑料主体12和一较软的塑料内衬14组成。主体12在其一端上设置有一由容器末端18环绕的分配口16,而在其另外一端上设置有一大气压力孔20。内衬14在主体12的精制部18与分配口16相通,否则对其封闭以防止空气进入。孔20由在容器12的下端或底部径向贯通的一槽形成,该槽是在瓶子制成后开模时通过裁去模制的塑料主体尾部的方法而形成的。
下面进一步对本发明进行说明,容器10与委托给代理人的No.08/807,944的美国专利申请中所公开的容器非常相似,并在本说明书中作为背景技术参考引用。当将一个泵或喷雾器安装到容器的精制部18上时,通过泵或喷雾器的动作可分配内衬14中的物料。随着物料的分配,内衬14内的负压将使内衬14与容器主体12分离。大气通过气孔20用于实现这种分离。从而,当物料分配时,内衬将发生褶皱,此时即使内衬与主体表面分离,主体12也会由于其本身的刚度而仍然保持其原来的形状。容器10最好通过美国专利3,781,395、3,767,747和3,978,184中所述的复合挤压和吹塑工艺来制取。
根据本发明,较硬的外层塑料主体12包括,并且最好大体上包括,一较薄外层22和一较厚内层24。同样,根据本发明的内衬14包括,并且最好是大体上包括,一外层26和一内层28。这些层均采用常规的复合挤压和吹模工艺制成,就象上面所述的美国专利中公开的那样。容器主体12的外层22最好由高密度聚乙烯(HDPE)制成,但厚度不超过0.004英寸。容器主体的内层24最好由70%的纯HDPE和30%的再研磨材料(比如,HDPE、LLDPE、尼龙、混纺尼龙或EVOH以及预先研磨的碎片和废料的再研磨料)制成。内层24的厚度最好在0.006-0.020英寸之间。这样,外层22就形成了容器所需的整体外形,同时内层24利用再研磨材料提供了结构刚度。
内衬14的外层26的成分最好从尼龙,混纺尼龙和EVOH中选择,并具有0.002-0.004英寸的厚度。内层28最好由线性低密度聚乙烯(LLDPE)制成,并最好具有0.002-0.004英寸的厚度。内衬14还包括有粘结剂,它最好是由内层28的LLDPE材料按80%的纯LLDPE对20%的粘结剂的比率混合而成。所述粘结剂将内层28粘结到外层26上。另外,粘结剂也可以一薄层的形式设置于内层28和外层26之间,这样就可以使用较少的粘结剂并防止粘结剂与容纳于内衬14中的物料接触。由尼龙、混纺尼龙或EVOH形成的外层26能够使内衬14较容易地与容器主体12分离,并且能够形成防止物料流失、透气或物料气味散发的阻隔性能。内层28的LLDPE材料能够在内衬14发生褶皱时提供很好的柔性来抵抗应力裂纹和小孔的形成。
已经对根据内层26采用结晶尼龙并容纳皂液的本发明之容器进行了测试。结果表明物料的年流失率在73°F时是0.1%,100°F时是1.3%,120°F时是2.5%。
因此可以认识到根据本发明的多层容器已经完全达到了前述的目的和目标。双层结构的内衬或内袋14在消除应力裂纹和小孔的同时改善了阻隔性能。同时双层结构的内衬14也提高了柔性和强度。容器整体表现出较少的年物料流失量。当物料进行分配时无需在内衬和容器之间进行预分离。再研磨材料可被再回并用于包装件中。而且整个工艺无需利用氮气作为支撑气体。
Claims (11)
1.一种用于分配物料的多层容器包括:
一较硬的外层塑料主体(12)和一用来容纳将被分配的物料的较软的塑料内衬(14),
所述较硬的外层主体(12)包括一由纯聚乙烯制成的外层(22),和包含有再研磨材料的较厚内层(24),
所述较软的内层包括一邻近所述主体内层、并由不会粘结于所述主体上的阻隔材料制成的外层(26),和一层聚乙烯内层(28)。
2.如权利要求1所述的容器,其特征在于:所述内衬(14)还包括将所述内衬内层(28)粘结到所述内衬外层(26)上的粘结剂。
3.如权利要求2所述的容器,其特征在于:所述粘结剂与聚乙烯材料的所述内衬内层(28)相混合。
4.如权利要求2或3所述的容器,其特征在于:所述内衬(14)外层(26)的材料是从尼龙,混纺尼龙和EVOH中选取的。
5.如权利要求2,3或4所述的容器,其特征在于:所述内衬(14)内层(28)由LLDPE制成。
6.如任一前述权利要求所述的容器,其特征在于:所述内衬(14)的内、外层(28,26)的厚度均在0.006-0.020英寸之间。
7.如权利要求6所述的容器,其特征在于:所述内衬(14)外层(26)的材料是从尼龙,混纺尼龙和EVOH中选取的,并且所述内衬内层(28)由LLDPE制成。
8.如任一前述权利要求所述的容器,其特征在于:所述主体(12)的外层(22)由纯HDPE制成,而所述主体内层(24)由纯HDPE和再研磨材料制成。
9.如权利要求8所述的容器,其特征在于:所述主体(12)的内层(24)由70%的纯HDPE和30%的再研磨材料制成。
10.如权利要求8所述的容器,其特征在于:所述主体(12)外层(22)的厚度不超过0.004英寸,并且所述主体内层(24)的厚度在0.010-0.020英寸之间。
11.如任一前述权利要求所述的容器,其特征在于:所述较硬的外层主体(12)在其一端上具有一分配口(16)而在另一端具有一大气压力孔(20),并且所述较软的内衬(14)开口位于所述分配口处。
