Abstract
一种用于打印引擎的分离设备,装在打印引擎上的打印头在上述打印介质上完成一幅图像打印后,可以用该装置把打上图像的那一部分从介质卷上分离下来。该分离设备带有一个刀轮,其作用将正在使用的打印介质与剩余的部分切开。刀轮安装在一个载架上,该载架依次在一个可以相对于打印头移动的蜗轮上来回移动。刀轮是通过一个用弹性软材料制成的一个支臂固定到载架上的,这个臂具有特殊的结构,如果在打印介质的分离操作完成前对打印介质施力,该臂就会使分离设备偏离分离打印介质的路径,以防损坏该分离设备。
Description
技术领域
本发明涉及一种打印引擎。本发明专门用在具有即时打印功能的数码相机的打印引擎中,尤其涉及一种用于打印引擎的分离设备。
背景技术
本发明的打印引擎使用页宽打印头,将图像打印在经过打印头的打印介质上。
“页宽”是指打印头在打印介质上一次打印一行,而且在打印介质经过打印头时,打印头不在打印介质上横向滑动或光栅化。
送往打印头的打印介质来源于卷在一起的一个打印介质卷。相应地,在打印介质上打印完一幅图像后,必须把打上图像的那一部分从介质卷上分离下来。
使用该打印引擎的相机上可以安装一个告警装置,用来提示用户在把打有图像的那一部分分开之前不要抽出打印介质。如果不按照提示操作,则可能出现故障。
发明内容
本发明提供了一种用于打印引擎的分离设备,装在打印引擎上的打印头在打印介质上完成一幅图像打印后,可以用该装置把打上图像的那一部分从打印介质卷上分离下来。该分离设备包括:
一个分离装置,该装置用来分离打印介质,把打印上图像的介质部分与剩余部分切开。
一个载架,分离设备就装在该载架上;
一个位移装置,用于推动载架,使其位置改变;
一个由弹性软材料制成的支臂,通过该臂将分离装置固定到载架上,如果在分离操作完成前对打印介质施力,该臂就会使分离装置偏离分离打印介质的路径,以防损坏该分离装置。
分离装置可以是一个固定在支臂一端的刀轮,该轮可以转动。刀轮贴在打印机上打印头外壳的支撑面上,用来将正在使用的打印介质与剩余的打印介质分开。
打印头可以是一种页宽打印头,刀轮可以沿平行于打印头纵轴的方向移动。
载架可以是一个安装架,支臂的另一端固定在该载架上。安装架既可以用机加金属材料也可以合成塑料来制造,而且上述支臂的另一端可以通过一个热塑柱挂在安装架上,安装时,加热该热塑柱使其熔化,从而将支臂的另一端固定在相应的位置上。
安装架可以安装到位移装置上,从而横向移动打印介质宽度的距离。
位移装置可以由其上安装有安装架的蜗轮构成,蜗轮则装在打印引擎的底盘上,底盘可以阻止安装架相对于蜗轮转动。
支臂可以用弹簧钢制成。

具体实施方式
附图中,索引数字500通常是指符合本发明的打印引擎,打印引擎500包括一个打印引擎组件502,其中装有一个可拆下的打印盒504。
在题为“打印盒”(备案号CA02)及“墨水盒”(备案号CA04)的同类专利申请中详细描述了该打印盒504,上述两个专利是同时申请的,国际专利申请号分别为PCT/AU00/00741和PCT/AU00/00742,这里专门结合其内容以做参考。
打印引擎组件502包括第一分组件506和第二打印头分组件508。
分组件506包括一个底盘510,底盘510有一个模塑件512,其上预制有供墨管514。打印盒504中的墨水经由管514送入打印头分组件508上的打印头516(图5-7)。打印头516可以用四种颜色的墨水打印也可以用三种颜色的墨水再加上一种只有在红外光谱下可见的墨水(以下称为红外墨水)来进行打印。相应地,就需要在模塑件512上预制出4个供墨管514及一个供气管518,空气由供气管518吹向打印头516,以防止外界的颗粒在打印头516的喷嘴护板上堆积。
底盘510上还有一个盖状模塑件520,其上装有一个泵522,由该泵产生吸力,使空气通过进气口细管524和进气口526后,经由打印盒504中的空气过滤器。空气由出气口528排出,提供给底盘510上的供气管518。
底盘510上还装有第一驱动电机,该电机是一个步进电机530,通过一个轮系532来驱动泵522。该步进电机530还通过另一个轮系538来与装在打印盒504上的滚轮组件536中的主动滚轮534(图5)相连。轮系538与装在主动滚轮534的一端上的可啮合部件540(图2)咬合。因而使步进电机530可以控制向分组件508上打印头516中输送打印介质542的动作,从而实现当介质在打印头516下通过时,在上面打印图像。要注意,当在打印介质542上进行打印时,步进电机530只负责驱动打印介质542,而泵522只负责向打印头516吹气。
底盘510上的模塑件512上安装有多个供墨导管,与供墨管514相通的细管544形状相同,供墨细管544贯穿于打印盒504上用弹性测量材料制成的轴环组件546当中,用于从打印盒504的墨水腔或存储格548(图5)中抽取墨水以提供给打印头516。
底盘510上的盖状模塑件520上有第二个用夹钳552固定的电机,即直流电机550,该电机用来驱动分离装置——切割臂组件554,在完成图像在打印介质上的打印后,将其与剩余的打印介质切开。电机550的输出轴上带有一个斜齿轮556。斜齿轮556与切割组件554的蜗轮560上的斜齿轮558咬合。蜗轮560装在打印头分组件508的底盘底板564上的轴承562上,而且可以转动。
切割组件554包括一个刀轮566,该刀轮安装在安装架570的弹性软臂568上。蜗轮560从安装架570旁经过的过程为:当蜗轮560转动时,安装架570和刀轮566从底盘底板564处横向经过。安装架570与底板564的边572贴在一起,以阻止安装架570相对于蜗轮560转动。刀轮566紧贴着打印头分组件508的上壳或盖部件,以分离打印介质542,盖部件574是金属的,因而当刀轮566从盖状部件处横向经过时,形成一个类似于剪刀的动作,将已打上图像的打印介质同其余部分切开。
分组件506包括一个送出机构576,该机构装在底盘510上并且上面有一个带夹子580的轴环578,通过这个轴环将送出机构576夹在底盘510上,与其贴在一起。轴环578处装有一个由弹性材料制成的插件582。弹性插件582上留出了多个开口584,将细管544上的进孔封闭,以阻止外面的颗粒进入到细管544,并由此进入管514和打印头516中。此外插件584表面形成的面或平台586将进气细管524堵住,起到上述的封闭作用。
底盘510和轴环578之间装有一个螺旋弹簧588,在图3中可以清楚地看到:当打印盒504从打印引擎500上拆下时,该弹簧将轴环578推到一个与底盘510隔开的位置。图4中所示的送出机构处于收起的位置。
如上所述,打印头分组件508包括一个底板564,装在底板564上的压盖机构590是可以移动的,可以移向或移离打印头516。压盖机构590上带有一个伸出的细长凸缘592,设置在载架593上,载架593装在位移机构594上,当打印头516不工作时,该位移机构移动细长凸缘592,用它来与打印头516对接。反过来,当打印头516工作时,该位移机构产生动作,使细长凸缘592回缩,从而与打印头516分开。
打印头分组件508包括一个打印头支撑模塑件596,打印头516就安装在上面。该模塑件596与模塑件596上的细长凸缘599形成了一个通道598,当在打印介质上打印图像时,打印介质542由通道通过。模塑件596上有一个凹槽700,当压盖机构590处于其压盖位置时,压盖机构590由槽700处伸出来。
进墨装置702通过盖部件574安装在其下面的插件599上,其上带有一个脊面形部件704,并且在部件704上装有一个壳706,脊形部件704和壳706之间形成了一个纵槽708,该纵槽与底盘510上的供墨管514相通,墨水经由这里(图7)送往打印头516。
打印头516旁边的脊形部分704上有一个供气管711(图8)。
电信号经由磁带自动连接膜片712传送到打印头516,磁带自动连接膜片712挂置于插件599和进墨装置702之间。
模塑件596包括一个有角度的翼部分714,一个软印刷电路板(PCB)716安装并固定在翼部分714上。插件599上的细长凸缘718推动软印发电路板716与磁带自动连接膜片712接触,使两者导通。软印刷电路板716上装有母线720,用来向打印头516和打印引擎500的其它带电部件供电。此外,软印刷电路板716上带有一个像机打印引擎控制芯片721和一个质量控制(QA)芯片(没有表示出来),质量控制芯片的可以识别打印盒504与打印引擎500的兼容性和适用性。为此,电路板716上带有多个触头723,与打印盒504中的触头725相接。
从图7中可以清楚地看到:打印头本身包括一个喷嘴护板722,安装在硅晶片724上。墨水经由供墨元件726提供给打印头516的喷嘴阵(没有表示出来),需要供墨时,供墨元件726与进墨装置702的墨水通道710上的出口接通,将墨水送往打印头516的喷嘴阵。
参看附图中的图10,该图中详细地描述了切割组件554。
如上所述,切割组件554上的刀轮566贴靠在打印头分组件508的盖部574。
刀轮566通过弹簧钢材质的支臂568固定在安装架上。当打印头516在通过其下的打印介质542上完成一个图像打印后,切割组件554换横向经过打印介质,把打上图像的那部分打印介质与打印介质542的剩余部分切开。如果在打印介质的分离操作完成前,用户想把带有图像的打印介质的从剩余部分上撕下来,则可能会损坏相机的零部件,尤其是可能会造成切割组件554的损坏。换句话说,如果在箭头728(图10)的方向上施力不当,将使切割组件554和邻近的零部件损坏。
由于支臂568是由弹簧钢制作的,所以刀轮566可以向箭头728的方向弯曲,偏离打印介质的路径。此时,相机自动复位,为接下来的打印作业做好准备。需要时,可以重新打印已经打印在用户过早拉出来的打印介质上的该图像。刀轮566的移动由芯片721监控。
同样也可以看出:为了使打印引擎500的外形更紧凑,将打印引擎组件502的大部分部件都置于打印盒504一端的槽内,以使其外型更小。
本领域的技术人员都明白:在不背离本发明的精髓和范围的前题下,可以对给出的特定配置进行大量变动和/或修改。因而无论从哪一方面来讲,都应将当前给出的配置仅视为说明性的和非限定性的。
Claims (7)
1、一种用于打印引擎的分离设备,装在打印引擎上的打印头在打印介质上完成一幅图像打印后,可以用该装置把打上图像的那一部分从打印介质卷上分离下来,该分离设备包括:
一个分离装置,该装置用来分离打印介质,把打印上图像的介质部分与打印介质的剩余部分切开;
一个载架,分离设备就装在该载架上;
一个位移装置,用于推动载架,使其位置改变;
一个由弹性软材料制成的支臂,通过该臂将分离装置固定到载架上,如果在分离操作完成前对打印介质施力,该臂就会使分离装置偏离分离打印介质的路径,以防损坏该分离装置。
2、如权利要求1所述的设备,其特征在于,分离装置是一个固定在支臂一端的刀轮,该轮可以转动,刀轮贴在打印引擎上打印头组件的外壳的支撑面上,用来将正在使用的打印介质与剩余的打印介质分开。
3、如权利要求2所述的设备,其特征在于,打印头是一种页宽打印头,刀轮可以沿平行于打印头纵轴的方向移动。
4、如权利要求3所述的设备,其特征在于,载架是一个安装架,支臂的另一端固定在该载架上。
5、如权利要求4所述的设备,其特征在于,安装架安装到位移装置上,从而移动打印介质宽度的距离。
6、如权利要求5所述的设备,其特征在于,位移装置由其上安装有安装架的蜗轮构成,蜗轮则装在打印引擎的底盘上,底盘阻止安装架相对于蜗轮转动。
7、如权利要求1所述的分离设备,其特征在于,支臂由弹簧钢制成。
