Description

带提手的塑料容器
本发明涉及一种带提手的塑料容器,该容器是通过吹塑成型一预型件并且单独形成一提手、然后在该容器的成形过程中将该提手连接到该容器上而形成的。

已进行了各种各样的尝试来将这种单独的提手连接到由预型件吹塑成型的容器上,但是这些尝试没有完全成功。一个问题是提手与吹塑成型的容器不能充分接合。另一个问题是制造这种容器的过程比较慢。
本发明的目的是提供一种将单独的提手连接到一个塑料吹塑成型容器上的方法,该方法使生产速度较快并能生产出牢固地连接有提手的带提手容器。
按照本发明,申请人已设计出具有适合于与单独成形的提手部分相接合的模制接合部分的改进预型件。过去有人提出可通过绕在提手相应端设置的夹持部分来吹塑成型容器的壁而使这种提手与该塑料容器相连接。例如,可参考澳大利亚专利637,696。本发明提供了一个接合部分以与提手的至少一部分接合,该接合部分优选地是刚性的并且在吹塑成型过程中不受拉伸。
这样,按照本发明的一个方面,提供了一种生产带提手塑料容器的方法,该方法包括下列步骤:
(a)将预成形的提手和合成树脂预型件放置在一个开口的吹塑模中,而所述的提手和预型件没有相互接合在一起;所述提手包括上夹持装置和下夹持装置,所述预型件包括适合于与提手的上夹持装置相接合的模制接合部分;
(b)当已经分别将提手和预型件放置在吹塑模中后,使得提手的上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相互连接;以及
(c)在该吹塑模中拉伸吹塑成型所述预型件,其中所述吹塑法将位于接合部分下方的预型件拉伸到吹塑模中而形成一个容器,并且使预型件的侧壁膨胀以便使提手的上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相互夹持连接在一起且将提手的下夹持装置固定并结合到所形成的容器体内。
按照本发明的另一个方面提供一种生产带提手塑料容器的方法,该方法包括下列步骤:
a)将预成形的提手和合成树脂预型件放置在一个开口的吹塑模中,而所述的提手和预型件没有相互接合起来;所述提手在其上部有一个上夹持装置且该提手还有一个自由端,所述预型件包括一个适合于与提手的所述上夹持装置相接合的模制接合部分;
b)当已经分别将提手和预型件放置在吹塑模中后,使得上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相互连接;以及
c)在吹塑模中拉伸吹塑成型所述预型件,其中所述吹塑法将位于接合部分下方的预型件拉伸到吹塑模中而形成一个容器,并且使预型件的侧壁膨胀以便使提手的上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相互夹持连接在一起。
在闭合吹塑模之前或之后都可以将提手的上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相互连接起来。优选地是,提手和预型件放置在开口的吹塑模中,以便提手的上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相邻但没有相互连接起来。之后闭合吹塑模,预型件被推下,因此使上夹持装置接合在模制接合部分中。优选地是吹塑模的形状使得预型件从其在吹塑模中的初始位置向下移动约1至4mm的距离,以便使得预型件与提手相互连接起来。方便地是,该预型件由一空气喷嘴向下推,该空气喷嘴用来将高压气体导入该预型件从而实现拉伸吹塑成型。
优选地是提手和预型件可基本上同时被置于吹塑模内。在一最优选的实施例中,提手和预型件由一单个的机械手置于该模中,该机械手将提手和预型件夹持住但该预型件和提手没有相互接合在一起。在一定程度上提手可早于或晚于预型件而插入到吹塑模中,且预型件的侧壁和提手的顶部分别被这样成形,从而当预型件被置于吹塑模中与提手相邻的位置时,它可滑过提手的顶部。
优选地是提手和预型件都被传送到位于基本平行的平面内的吹塑模中。
上夹持装置和模制接合部分可具有不同的形状和结构。无论其结构如何,一旦当它们相互连接,预型件的接合部分应当阻止上夹持装置的纵向(向上)或水平分离。
优选地是,提手的上夹持装置是位于提手顶端或邻接于提手顶端的一个突起或突出物。在这种结构中,预型件的模制接合部分优选地呈位于预型件颈部成形面下方的凸缘形状,该凸缘包括一悬垂边以便提供一个面向下的凹槽,提手端部的所述突起或突出物可被夹持在该凹槽中。另一种替换方式,该凸缘可包括一个孔,所述突起可插入该孔中。
用于工业上容器拉伸吹塑法中的一些预型件包括一个置于容器颈部成形面下方的凸缘。该凸缘(经常称为“支撑凸耳”)有许多作用,包括以机械方式将预型件传送到吹塑模中或从吹塑模中将其传送出、以及在将高压气体导入的过程中将预型件支撑在吹塑模中以吹塑成型所述容器。
具有合适形状的提手夹持装置的替换装置以及预型件的与之相接合的接合部分的替换装置对于本领域的技术人员来说是不言而喻的。例如,可以将上面描述的结构颠倒过来,从而在预型件上提供一个面向下的突起而在提手的上部形成一个孔或凹槽。
优选地是,塑料提手的上夹持装置从弧形支撑表面延伸,该支撑表面与位于模制接合部分紧下方的预型件的几何形状相匹配。这种支撑表面有助于上夹持装置的定位与放置以用来与预型件的模制接合部分相接合。在此支撑表面的内径应当与预型件的外径相匹配。支撑环的弧长可改变,但是已发现当弧长比较短时更易于将提手插入常规的吹塑模具内。
在本发明的这一实施例中,提手包括一个与预型件的几何形状相匹配的支撑表面,特别优选地是提手也包括一个与支撑表面相邻的凹陷部分,所述支撑表面包括一个或多个加强肋。在这种结构中,当吹塑预型件时,紧邻于支撑表面的预型件部分将膨胀进入该凹陷部分,但在包括加强肋的那些区域没有完全如此。结果是,一旦吹塑瓶子,凹陷部分的加强肋将位于容器上的小凹槽内,这样加强肋与小凹槽就相互接合从而阻止了提手的旋转运动。
提手的下夹持装置优选地是一个从提手下端延伸的突起或突出物。它可以是这样的形状,使得当吹塑成型预型件时侧壁的膨胀将抓住且固定住位于容器成形体内的突起。该下夹持装置可以具有各种各样的几何形状。最优选地是采用一个与钩子或其它延伸物相结合的突起以便于加强与容器体的固定接合。
提手可具有任何合适的形状。在本发明的一个实施例中,所形成的容器是吹塑成型的,因此在其一侧具有一个适合于容纳提手的凹槽。优选地是,该凹槽包括一个凸耳,提手的底部可置于其上。在这一结构中,优选地是提手通常呈“C”形且在其相对两端具有上夹持装置和下夹持装置。在一个特别优选的实施例中,提手的截面形状呈“U”形,因而包括端部凸缘和一连接腹板。优选地是该端部凸缘在该提手的底端是面朝下的,因此在连接腹板的下面形成一个空腔。在这一实施例中,下夹持装置可以是一个从腹板延伸的突起。当以这种方式构形时,在凸缘附近的预型件的吹塑成型形成了一个容器侧壁,该侧壁充填了由该凸缘形成的位于连接腹板下面的空腔,这样就将凸缘牢固地夹持就位。
提手也可包括一些加强肋。在上述实施例中,提手有一从腹板延伸的端部凸缘,因此在提手的下侧形成一个空腔,优选地是用加强肋加强该端部凸缘,因为在吹塑成型期间这一区域要受到由预型件的膨胀侧壁施加的一个强力的作用。优选地是,该提手由注塑成型而成。提手和瓶子不必由同种塑性材料制成,提手可由象高粘度聚乙烯、聚丙烯、PET、回收PET、玻璃加强PET和玻璃加强高粘度聚乙烯这样的塑料制成。提手也可由象铝这样的金属材料制成。瓶子和提手可由相同的材料、优选地是由PET或回收PET制成。这将加强瓶子的回收。
按照本发明的另一方面,提供一种适合于在前述方法中使用的预型件。尤其是,这种预型件包括一个底部,一个细长的侧壁部分和一个颈部;所述颈部包括一个预成形面,在该成形面下方有一个向外延伸的凸缘;所述凸缘包括一个适合于与提手上的孔或突起相接合的模制接合部分。优选地是,所述接合部分是以从凸缘外缘悬垂的凸缘形状。该预型件可由任何拉伸可吹塑聚合物制成。优选地是,它由PET均聚物或共聚物(新的或再次研磨的)、或多层结构制成,所述多层结构包括由在多层技术中使用的一层或多层PET、聚2,6-萘二甲酸乙二酯(PEN)、乙烯-乙烯醇(EVOH)或其它聚合物组成的层。
按照本发明的另一实施例,提供一个带提手的塑料容器,所述容器包括一个吹塑成型的塑料瓶和一个与之相连接的单独提手,其中所述提手包括上夹持装置和下夹持装置,所述瓶子包括一个与提手的上夹持装置相连接的模制接合部分,其中提手的下夹持装置被固定并结合到容器的侧壁中。
按照本发明的又一方面,提供一个带提手的塑料容器,所述容器包括一个吹塑成型塑料瓶和具有一个自由端的单独提手,该提手以其另一端由上夹持装置与所述瓶子相连接,所述上夹持装置包括一个突起或突出物,所述瓶子包括一个颈部成形面,该颈部成形面具有与所述突起或突出物相接合的接合部分,该突起或突出物将所述上夹持装置与所述瓶子连接。
下面将参考附图描述本发明的优选实施例。

图1中一般由标号1表示一预型件。它包括一螺纹成形面2、出口3、细长的侧壁部分4、底部5以及支撑凸耳6。可以理解,螺纹成形面可由本领域已知的任何其它成形面取代、例如一个“夹子夹紧”盖或其它合适的封闭件。
支撑凸耳6包括一个凸缘7,该凸缘从凸耳6的边缘悬垂下来以形成面向下的环形槽8。槽8和凸缘7一起形成了本发明所需的接合部分。图1所示的预型件优选地是注射成型的且优选地由PET或回收PET材料制成。如果预型件是利用重新研磨材料而形成的,优选地是使用一种三层或五层的多层预型件,该预型件如本领域技术所知的那样包括一层或多层重新研磨中心层而任何一侧都有原材料层。这种多层预型件的结构和构成已属本领域公知技术。
图2和2a表示提手的第一实施例,该提手适合于图1所示的预型件从而形成一个带提手的容器,该提手有一个从提手顶部11延伸到其底部12的直立凸缘9和10。这些凸缘由轮廓呈微凹形的腹板13相连接。凸缘9和10在朝向底端的提手两侧设有凹槽9a和10a。在其上端11设有一个弧形的支撑表面12a和突起13a。突起13a的形状能使其被放置在图1所示的预型件的凸缘7之后而置于槽8内。支撑表面12a的曲率半径与预型件1之外壁4在凸缘6紧下方部分14内的曲率半径相同。在提手的下端12设有成形为突起15的下夹持装置。
图3表示一个替换的提手16。提手16除了上端之外基本与图2所示的提手相同,该提手在其上端包括一个从支撑表面12a的顶部沿其整个长度延伸的突起接合部分17。在支撑表面12a的下部设有一个凹陷部分18,该凹陷部分18包括两个加强肋19和20。提手在其一侧是有光滑的外形21以便使预型件1和提手一起移动进入处于平行平面内的吹塑模中。
在图8和图9中,提手111在其上夹持端117有一突起部分112,提手111还有一下夹持端113,该夹持端113包括一个当吹塑时整体并入瓶子侧壁的凸起部分114和加强肋115。突起部分112适合位于凸缘7后面的环形槽8中。提手111具有一个在上夹持端117和下夹持端113之间延伸的主体116并且包括多个便于使用者提拿和有助于紧握的加强肋118、119。上夹持端117在其两侧各包括一个凹陷部分120,并且具有一个从上夹持端117的支撑表面122到后部123延伸穿过整个上夹持端117的开121。
本发明的瓶子按下列步骤制造。首先,如图4所示,一个预成形的塑料提手16由机械手23传送到开口的吹塑模22中。图1所示的预型件按标准工艺进行预热,然后由机械手24将其传送到吹塑模22中。预型件1和提手16基本上同时被传送到吹塑模中。提手被置于空腔25内而预型件被置于空腔26内。
在未示出的另一实施例中一单个的机械手可以将预型件和提手传送到吹塑模中。这一实施例尤其适合于图8和9所示的提手类型,在这一实施例中,在机械手上可设有一个位于开口121内的销和压入所述凹陷部分120内的夹紧装置。所述销和夹紧装置位于夹持预型件1的机械手部分的下方区域内。如图5所示,预型件1和提手16相互邻近但彼此没有连接起来。突起的接合部分17被置于槽8的紧下方。然后闭合两个半吹塑模并将空气喷嘴27向下移动到预型件1之上。当半模被闭合时,在模子中的凹陷部分(未示出)就可以将提手夹持住,并且可将机械手缩回。空气喷嘴的冲程足以使预型件向下移动,使得接合部分17位于槽8内,以便于使预型件和提手相互连接。凹口26包括一个凹槽28,该凹槽28比支撑凸耳6深以便能使预型件1向下运动。图6表示相互连接后的位于吹塑模内的预型件1和提手16。
当吹塑模一旦闭合且预型件和提手相互连接后,就将气体引入预型件1,以便将位于凸缘7下方的预型件拉伸吹制到闭合的吹塑模21中以形成所述容器。在吹塑成型过程中,位于支撑表面12下方的塑料膨胀,这就进一步将提手向上推入到槽8内,因而进一步将提手固定就位。这限制了提手的向上/向下运动。塑料也围绕支撑表面12的侧壁膨胀,一旦容器已被吹制,这就限制了提手的侧向运动。侧向运动还进一步受到加强肋19、20以及相应凹槽19a、20a的限制。
提手16的底端12、突起15变成由塑料包围,该塑料向上膨胀而充填了在凸缘部分9和10之间形成的凹口中。被塑料包围起来的夹持突起15限制了侧向或横向运动,对运动的限制防止了夹持部分16从槽8中脱离出来。
这样形成的容器如图7所示。应当指出,提手16被设计成使得其能接合在瓶子的整个宽度/深度内。这使得瓶子易于包装和运输,因为提手不会与纸箱和盒子相互干涉。
如图7所示的瓶子有一凹口29,该凹口29包括一个突起部分30,提手16的下部位于该突起部分上。该瓶子优选地包括侧壁加强肋31以加强该壁的抗压强度。
使用时,本发明的瓶子与现有技术中的瓶子相比有显著优点。提手的尺寸使得使用者的手容易进入。提手的“U”形截面形状增加了其强度,并且这种截面使得该提手易于使用,因为在其顶部形成的凹槽使得使用者的大拇指能放在该凹陷部分中,当提拿和倾倒瓶子时易于使该瓶子稳定。
一旦液体从容器内倒出后,在图7所示的点32处容器受压。这有利于提手作为一个整体而易于从瓶子上除去。这种简便的去除对于回收利用而言有好处。如果提手和瓶子是由不同材料制成的,那么可尽可能减少污染,即使提手与瓶子由同种材料制成,也希望将该提手去除,因为在回收利用与薄而软的吹制容器相比更优选地被用于提手的较厚且硬的材料时,经常需要不同的工艺。
这样,本发明提供了一种易于使用且当倒空后便于拆除以回收利用的容器,该容器易于由吹塑装置中的预型件以较快的速度生产。
可以理解,可对前述的预型件、提手和瓶子作各种各样的改进和补充而并不脱离本发明的精神和范围。

Claims (21)

1、一种制造带提手的塑料容器的方法,其包括下列步骤:
a)将预成形的提手和合成树脂预型件置于一个开口吹塑模中,而所述提手和预型件没有相互接合在一起;所述提手包括上夹持装置和下夹持装置,所述预型件包括一个适合于与提手的上夹持装置相接合的模制接合部分;
b)当提手和预型件已被分别放置在吹塑模内后,使得提手的上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相互连接;以及
c)在吹塑模内拉伸吹塑成型该预型件,其中所述吹塑法将位于接合部分下方的预型件拉伸到吹塑模中以形成一个容器,并且使预型件的侧壁膨胀以便使提手的上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相互夹持连接在一起。
2、一种制造带提手的塑料容器的方法,其包括下列步骤:
a)将预成形的提手和合成树脂预型件置于一个开口吹塑模中,而所述提手和预型件没有相互接合起来;所述提手在其上部有一个上夹持装置,该提手还有一个自由端,所述预型件包括一个适合于与提手的所述上夹持装置相接合的模制接合部分;
b)当提手和预型件已被分别置于吹塑模中后,使得上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相互连接;以及
c)在吹塑模内拉伸吹塑成形该预型件,其中所述吹塑法将位于接合部分下方的预型件拉伸到吹塑模中以形成一个容器,并且使预型件的侧壁膨胀以便将提手的上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相互夹持连接在一起。
3、一种按照权利要求1或2中任何一项所述的方法,其特征在于,提手和预型件初始就被置于开口的吹塑模中以便提手的上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相邻但没有相互连接起来。
4、一种按照权利要求3所述的方法,其特征在于,当闭合吹塑模后,通过将预型件向提手移动而使得上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相互连接。
5、一种按照权利要求4所述的方法,其特征在于,通过一个适合于将气体导入预型件以吹塑成型所述容器的空气喷嘴而将预型件向提手移动。
6、一种按照权利要求5所述的方法,其特征在于,将预型件向提手移动1到4mm的距离,而使上夹持装置与预型件的接合部分相互连接。
7、一种按照权利要求1到6中任何一项所述的方法,其特征在于,基本上同时将提手和预型件置于吹塑模内。
8、一种按照权利要求1到7中任何一项所述的方法,其特征在于,提手和预型件沿基本上平行的平面被传送到吹塑模内。
9、一种生产塑料容器所用的预型件,所述预型件包括:
a)一个底部;
b)一个细长的侧壁部分;以及
c)一个颈部,该颈部包括一预成形面以及位于所述预成形面下方的向外延伸的凸缘,所述凸缘包括一个适合于与提手上的相配合夹持装置相接合的接合部分。
10、一种按照权利要求9所述的预型件,其特征在于,所述接合部分包括一个从凸缘向下朝着所述底部悬垂的凸缘,以便提供一个面向下的槽,提手上的相配合接合装置可置于该槽内。
11、一种按照权利要求9所述的预型件,其特征在于,所述接合部分包括一个位于所述凸缘内的孔,提手上的相配合接合装置可置于其内。
12、一种带提手的塑料容器,所述容器包括一个吹塑成型的塑料瓶以及一个连接于其上的单独提手,其特征在于,该提手包括上夹持装置和下夹持装置,所述上夹持装置包括一个突起或突出物,且所述瓶子包括一个颈部成形面,该颈部成形面具有与突起或突出物相接合的接合部分,该突起或突出物将所述上夹持装置和所述瓶子相连接,所述下夹持装置与瓶子的侧壁部分结合成一体。
13、一种带提手的塑料容器,所述容器包括一个吹塑成型的塑料瓶以及一个具有自由端并以其另一端由上夹持装置与所述瓶子相连接的单独提手,所述上夹持装置包括一个突起或突出物,所述瓶子包括一个颈部成形面,该颈部成形面具有一个与所述突起或突出物相接合的接合部分,该突起或突出物将所述上夹持装置和所述瓶子相连接。
14、一种按照权利要求12或13所述的带提手的塑料容器,其特征在于,所述接合部分包括一个置于所述颈部成形面上的凸缘并且包括一个悬垂的凸缘以便提供一个面向下的槽,所述突起或突出物置于该槽内。
15、一种按照权利要求12或13所述的带提手的塑料容器,其特征在于,所述颈部成形面包括一个孔,所述突起或突出物置于该孔内。
16、一种按照权利要求12到15中任何一项所述的带提手的塑料容器,其特征在于,所述提手在所述上夹持装置的区域内包括一个弧形的支撑表面,在该支撑表面上有一凹陷部分,所述吹塑瓶子部分地伸入到该凹陷部分中。
17、一种按照权利要求12到16中任何一项所述的带提手的塑料容器,其特征在于,所述的上和/或下夹持装置包括一个或多个加强肋或槽,所述吹塑瓶子至少部分地伸入到该槽中以便减小所述提手相对于所述瓶子的横向移动。
18、一种按照权利要求1到8中任何一项所述方法制成的带提手的塑料容器。
19、一种利用按照权利要求9到11中任何一项所述的预型件制成的带提手的塑料容器。
20、一种按照权利要求1的基本上如前所述的方法。
21、一种按照权利要求12的参考任一附图所示基本上如前所述的带提手的塑料容器。
