Abstract

技术领域
本申请涉及从含有浓酸,特别是具有60wt%或更多,例如85wt%或更多的浓硫酸(H2SO4)的含水流中去除颗粒物质,而颗粒物质的平均粒度在0.05-10μm范围内,例如0.1-5μm范围内。通过使所述含水流通过过滤器单元进行机械过滤而去除颗粒物质,过滤器单元包括金属、陶瓷或聚合物过滤器或在隔膜上具有助滤剂的过滤器,所述隔膜优选地是聚合物、陶瓷或钢材料。本发明的实施方案包括金属过滤器或隔膜上具有助滤剂的过滤器,其过滤介质等级在0.1-14μm范围内,优选0.5-12μm。浓硫酸流在用于处理含有硫,特别是二氧化硫(SO2)形式的硫和所述颗粒物质的工艺气流的设备中产生。工艺气流特别是炭黑设备的废气流。
背景技术
湿气硫酸(WSA)设备目前用于处理炭黑设备排放的废气,即排气。废气中含有SO2形式的硫、NOx和烟灰形式的颗粒物质,尤其是炭黑颗粒。在WSA设备中,含有SO2形式的硫和颗粒物质的工艺气流通过包括一个或多个SO2氧化催化剂床的SO2转化器。SO2氧化催化剂通常包含V2O5形式的钒;硫酸盐、焦硫酸盐、三硫酸盐或四硫酸盐形式的硫;SiO2和碱金属例如Li、Na、K、Rb和Cs;以及它们的组合作为促进剂,其通常作为在硅藻土或SO2的载体上的熔体。在SO2转化器中,工艺气体中的SO2转化为SO3,随后气体与水在硫酸冷凝器中反应生成浓硫酸。硫酸也在硫酸冷凝器中冷凝为液体。WSA设备还可以任选地配备选择性催化还原(SCR)催化剂以去除氮氧化物(NOx)。参考申请人的WO 2016/169822、EP 0417200和EP0419539,它们详细描述了该工艺。
虽然绝大多数炭黑颗粒在SO2氧化催化剂上被氧化,但少量,即浓度为0.002mg/Nm3至100mg/Nm3,例如0.003mg/Nm3至25mg/Nm3或0.004mg/Nm3至10mg/Nm3可能会渗入催化剂床并最终进入生成的硫酸中,使其变成灰色/黑色。换句话说,炭黑会被产生的硫酸洗掉,因此会被污染并失去其商业价值。
已知使用具有强氧化剂如过氧化氢(H2O2)、臭氧(O3)和类似物的化学处理来氧化碳颗粒,从而去除不希望的颜色并因此也去除由这些颗粒造成的酸污染。因此,“硫酸制造手册”专门针对这一主题设置了一个章节(硫酸脱色,2008年第1版),主要关注通过使用强氧化剂进行漂白;具体参见其中的第7-15页。不希望的颜色是由于在生产硫酸的设备的废气中产生的未燃烧的有机物造成的。还已知使用所谓的双干燥塔技术来处理有色(污染)酸的问题,活性炭的使用也是如此。据说活性炭的使用通过吸附、机械过滤或离子交换起作用。因此,公开了机械过滤,但其仅与活性炭的使用和用于去除由生产硫酸的设备中未燃烧的有机物的携带产生的不希望的颜色有关。
US 4702836公开了一种多孔膜,它可以进行高度精确的过滤净化,例如热浓硫酸过滤。
GB 2394428 A公开了一种包含陶瓷、石英或金属材料的保护涂层的金属过滤材料。金属过滤材料用于从气体和液体流中去除或回收颗粒,并涂有保护材料以减少使用过程中的降解。
US 4405548公开了一种过滤熔融聚合物材料的改进方法,其中使用了可渗透陶瓷材料的过滤床。陶瓷材料包括微晶烧结铝土矿颗粒。
EP 1264916 A1公开了一种通过使贵金属如铂、金或银与不锈钢的一部分接触来抑制暴露于硫酸或含硫酸溶液环境中的不锈钢或碳钢腐蚀的方法。
US 6287534公开了一种通过高时间速率的温度变化来加速化学反应的方法,更具体地说,是一种利用一个方向的快速温度变化来加速多原子分子如SO2、CO、H2S、H2、NOx、N2、Cl2、Br2、基于非烃类的挥发性有机化合物、基于烃类的挥发性有机化合物以及芳基和烷基酰卤化物的氧化的方法。
我们已经发现,当使用其中过滤器单元包括金属、陶瓷或聚合物过滤器或在隔膜上包含助滤剂的过滤器的特定形式的机械过滤时,现在可以去除颗粒物质,特别是从浓酸中去除碳,而不使用昂贵的材料,如活性炭或氧化剂,从而显著提高操作过程中的安全性,因为在过滤过程中不会形成气体。此外,还避免了在使用漂白剂(氧化剂)期间通常形成的副反应和伴随的副产物。
发明内容
因此,本发明提供了一种从含有浓酸、优选浓硫酸的含水流中去除颗粒物质的方法,其中所述颗粒物质的平均粒度在0.05-10μm的范围内,所述含水物流中硫酸的浓度大于60wt%,所述方法包括通过使所述含水流通过过滤器单元进行机械过滤,并且所述过滤器单元包括金属、陶瓷或聚合物过滤器或在隔膜上包含助滤剂的过滤器;其中含水流是用于从工艺气流生产硫酸的加工设备的硫酸冷凝器的出口流,任选地布置在硫酸冷凝器下游的硫酸浓缩器的出口流;所述工艺气流包含硫和所述颗粒物质,所述工艺设备包括:将所述工艺气流的SO2形式的硫在SO2转化单元中转化为富含SO3的气流,所述SO2转化单元包括催化剂床并且使所述工艺气体通过所述催化剂床;将富含SO3的气流转化为所述硫酸冷凝器的所述出口流或所述硫酸浓缩器的所述出口流;并且任选地提供酸冷却步骤以降低所述出口流的温度。
因此,所述加工设备可包括布置在所述硫酸冷凝器下游的硫酸浓缩器,用于增加来自硫酸冷凝器的出口流中的硫酸浓度。在一个具体的实施方案中,所述硫酸浓缩器可以与硫酸冷凝器集成或与硫酸冷凝器分离。
术语“集成”是指硫酸浓缩器的入口与硫酸冷凝器的出口流体连通。因此,在硫酸冷凝器中冷凝的硫酸直接流入例如硫酸浓缩器的顶部。
术语“分离的”是指硫酸浓缩器安装在硫酸冷凝器的外部容器中。例如,在硫酸冷凝器中冷凝的硫酸被泵送至安装在外部容器中的硫酸浓缩器的入口。
应当理解,当提到富含SO3的气流被转化为例如所述硫酸冷凝器的所述(含水)出口流时,还形成含有不可冷凝化合物如氮气、氧气和二氧化碳的气态出口流。
酸冷却步骤可包括硫酸与冷却介质(例如水或空气)或酸冷却回路之间的热交换,例如通过与冷的酸进料(例如再循环的冷的酸进料)进行热交换。关于酸冷却回路的详细情况,例如可以参考申请人的专利申请WO 2018/108739。
在一个实施方案中,所述过滤器单元设置在酸冷却步骤的下游。由于温度较低,即在该位置约为40℃,因此在过滤器单元(即过滤设备)的酸冷却步骤之外的这种特殊定位使得能够使用更简单或更便宜的材料。例如,过滤器单元设置在冷却单元如热交换器的下游,用于在将硫酸泵送到储罐之前降低硫酸的温度。过滤器单元可以有自己的泵来克服过滤器上的压力损失,或者使用由过滤器单元外部的泵提供的现有压力。
在另一个实施方案中,所述过滤器单元设置在酸冷却步骤内部作为酸冷却回路(即酸冷却环路)的一部分或集成在其中。应当理解,术语“作为一部分或集成”表示“作为一部分”和“集成”具有相同的含义。已经发现,虽然这个位置的温度更高,即酸冷却回路内的温度约为70℃,与回路外(酸冷却步骤的下游)的40℃相比,这将粘度降低了50%。因此,压降仅为环路外压降的一半,从而使过滤器操作更方便。还例如,所述过滤器单元设置在所述出口流中,例如在任何冷却之前的出口流中。
术语“酸冷却环路”是指再循环环路,其中将来自硫酸冷凝器或硫酸浓缩器的具有温度在例如180-270℃范围内的(含水)出口流首先与冷却的再循环硫酸流(具有例如约40℃的温度)混合,其后温度为约70℃的混合硫酸被泵送并在热交换器中冷却,从而产生温度为约40℃的冷却硫酸流。该冷却的硫酸流的一部分被分流成上述冷却的再循环硫酸流,并进入同样温度为约40℃的输出硫酸流,该硫酸流在环路外被排出。因此,过滤器单元适合作为酸冷却环路的一部分或集成在其中,在混合硫酸流中,例如在所述泵送之后,其中硫酸的温度为约70℃,如上所述。过滤器单元也适合设置在环路外部,在输出硫酸流中,其中硫酸的温度为约40℃,也如上所述。
硫酸浓缩器可包括再循环环路,即硫酸浓缩器再循环回路,其是指将硫酸浓缩器的部分出口流再循环至例如硫酸浓缩器的入口。硫酸再循环回路可包括加热所述部分出口流,例如在进入硫酸浓缩器之前加热至约180-270℃。
如本文所用,术语“平均粒度”是指通过激光衍射粒度分析仪如MalvernMastersizer 3000测量的颗粒的平均直径。
如本文所用,术语“颗粒物质”是指在浓酸中产生不希望的效果的颗粒。一个具体的实例是碳颗粒,特别是炭黑颗粒,它在浓酸中产生不希望的颜色。如本文所用,颗粒物质包括烟灰,这是烃不完全燃烧导致的不纯碳颗粒的常用术语。如本文所用,术语“炭黑”是指具有高的表面积/体积比(尽管比活性炭的表面积低)的次晶碳的一种形式,并且在其高得多的表面积/体积比、更高的碳浓度(例如大于95wt%,例如97或99.0wt%)以及显著更低的多环芳烃(PAH)含量方面与普通烟灰不同。

在一个实施方案中,金属、陶瓷或聚合物过滤器或在隔膜上包含助滤剂的过滤器具有0.1至14μm、优选0.5至12μm的过滤介质等级。发现特别是具有15μm或更高的介质等级的陶瓷或聚合物过滤器,或在隔膜上包含助滤剂的过滤器允许炭黑与含水流一起通过,而密度更大的过滤器,例如具有14μm、12μm、10μm或低得多,例如1或0.5或0.1μm,特别是0.1-14μm或0.5-12μm的范围的过滤介质等级将有效地去除颗粒物质,尽管有一些压降增加。
如本文所用,术语“过滤介质等级”或“介质等级”是指过滤器中的孔的平均直径,其通过迫使空气通过刚刚浸入水中的过滤器直到气泡通过而动态确定。所需压力与过滤器的平均孔径相关:孔径(微米)=30*表面张力(达因/cm)/压力(mm HG)。孔的平均直径也可以通过电子显微镜测量。
金属、陶瓷或聚合物过滤器,或在隔膜上包含助滤剂的过滤器可以圆盘、矩形或方形片的形式提供,或者作为管状或烛式过滤器或褶皱式过滤器。
隔膜也可以是圆盘、矩形或方形片、管状或烛形或褶皱的形式。
在一个实施方案中,金属过滤器是烧结金属并且过滤介质等级在3-7μm的范围内,优选5μm。发现对于该特定范围内的该特定过滤器,炭黑颗粒被有效去除且压降没有显著增加。
优选地,烧结金属过滤器的厚度在0.2至10mm的范围内,例如1至2.5mm。
优选地,所述金属是不锈钢,例如不锈钢316L或C22。在特定实施方案中,金属涂有耐酸材料。
在一个实施方案中,隔膜是聚合物、陶瓷或钢材料,并且助滤剂包括硅藻土。在一个具体实施方案中,助滤剂是硅藻土。
在一个实施方案中,所述陶瓷过滤器或所述隔膜的陶瓷包含一种或多种选自铝、钙、钾、钠、镁、钨、铁和硅的元素,特别是玻璃纤维或烧结玻璃,例如熔融石英;并且所述聚合物过滤器或所述隔膜的聚合物材料是聚丙烯;氟化聚合物,例如四氟乙烯,例如聚四氟乙烯(PTFE);聚氯乙烯;聚苯硫醚;聚苯醚或它们的组合。
相同的陶瓷材料可用于陶瓷过滤器和隔膜。相同的聚合物材料可用于聚合物过滤器和隔膜。
隔膜的钢材也优选为不锈钢,例如不锈钢316L或C22。
在一个实施方案中,陶瓷过滤器是玻璃纤维或烧结玻璃,例如熔融石英,过滤介质等级在1-10μm范围内。同样对于在这个特定范围内的特定过滤器,炭黑颗粒被有效地去除并且没有显著增加的压降。
过滤器单元可以通过重力操作,其中利用重力来允许流体向下行进;真空操作,其中应用设备以在过滤器上产生压力梯度;强制过滤,其中通过设备或管线压力迫使液体通过过滤器;或通过例如旋转滚筒施加的离心力进行操作。
过滤器单元还可以包括一个或多个串联的过滤器,以便首先去除粗颗粒并最小化总压降。
过滤器单元还可以包括一个或多个并联的过滤器,从而使得能够在过滤器进行清洁或更换的同时操作另一个过滤器。
本发明还包括使用可手动或在线清洁的一次性滤筒或过滤器,例如通过迫使过滤的液体返回过滤器以去除沉积的颗粒物质。清洁过程还可能涉及去除沉积的颗粒物质以及任何助滤剂。
在一个实施方案中,所述聚合物过滤器的聚合物材料是PTFE。在一个具体实施方案中,聚合物过滤器是PTFE膜,例如PTFE膜或ePTFE膜,其任选为褶皱的,并且任选还容纳在丙烯外壳中以形成滤筒。过滤介质等级,在本文中也称为“孔隙等级”,适当地在0.02至5μm的范围内,例如0.1、0.2、0.45和1.0μm。滤筒的长度例如为1016mm(40英寸)或254mm(10英寸),外径为70mm。
术语“ePTFE膜”是指膨胀的聚四氟乙烯,它是由线性聚合物PTFE膨胀产生的膜,从而产生微孔结构。

在一个实施方案中,所述SO2转化单元的所述催化剂床包含在多孔载体上的包含五氧化二钒;硫酸盐、焦硫酸盐、三硫酸盐或四硫酸盐形式的硫和一种或多种碱金属的催化剂,其中催化剂中五氧化二钒含量为1-15wt%,催化剂中硫含量为1-25wt%,催化剂中碱金属为2-25wt%;其中多孔载体为硅藻土或石英(即二氧化硅),任选包含高达10wt%的氧化铝。
在一个实施方案中,所述含水流中硫酸的浓度为85wt%或更高(H2SO4的质量分数)。这是在WSA设备中获得的酸浓度。
实施例
实施例1:金属和陶瓷过滤器
获得了不同介质等级的商业金属和陶瓷过滤器样品。
先前的实验表明,炭黑颗粒在硫酸和水中的行为是相似的,两者都是极性液体,不会与炭黑颗粒发生反应,因此它们与炭黑颗粒的相互作用是相同的。因此,基于炭黑和水的悬浮液用于过滤测试。
通过在溶解器上将炭黑粉末与水混合来制备100ppm wt.的炭黑在水中的悬浮液。
不同过滤等级的烧结金属过滤盘得自Mott。盘的直径为1英寸(25.4mm),由不锈钢316L制造。测试的陶瓷盘得自Sigma Aldrich,包含玻璃纤维和熔融石英形式的烧结玻璃过滤器。
所有过滤器测试都是通过将过滤器样品放入定制的漏斗中进行的,该漏斗放置在1L Büchner烧瓶中。
随后,将100ppm wt炭黑悬浮液倒在过滤器上并通过提供0.6bar跨过滤器压差的泵而抽吸通过过滤器。对于过滤器1至3和11至12,施加的跨过滤器压力为0.8bar。收集通过过滤器的液体,并使用Malvern Mastersize 3000测定遮光度(obscuration)。通过测量水中已知浓度的炭黑悬浮液的遮光度来建立遮光度的标准曲线。
据观察,特别是介质等级为15μm或更高的陶瓷或聚合物过滤器允许炭黑与含水流一起通过,而密度更大的过滤器,例如过滤介质等级为14或12或10μm或低得多的过滤器,例如1或0.5或0.1μm,特别是0.1-14μm或0.5-12μm的范围,将有效去除颗粒物质,尽管压降有所增加。
当使用烧结金属形式的金属过滤器,其中过滤介质等级在3–7μm范围内,特别是5μm时,观察到高的颗粒去除效率(如表中所示),在压降方面没有显著损失。
当使用烧结玻璃形式的陶瓷过滤器,特别是熔融石英,其中过滤介质等级在1-10μm范围内时,还观察到高的颗粒去除效率,而在压降方面没有显著损失。
术语“颗粒去除效率”表示悬浮液中被过滤器截留的炭黑百分比,其是通过标准曲线将遮光度转换为wt-ppm计算得出。
实施例2:聚合物过滤器
获得了具有三种不同过滤介质等级,在此也称为孔隙等级的商业筒式过滤器(滤筒)。在实验室中对过滤器进行了测试,以确定在从测试液体中去除炭黑时,其颗粒去除效率。
筒式过滤器由装在聚丙烯外壳中的褶皱ePTFE膜组成。提供了三种不同的过滤介质等级(孔隙等级):1.0、0.45和0.2μm。过滤器长254mm(10英寸),外径为70mm。在过滤测试之后对滤液进行两次不同的测量;粒度分布的测定和剩余炭黑含量的测定。两种测量均使用Malvern Mastersizer 3000进行。
测量来自孔隙等级为1.0和0.45μm,以及0.2μm的滤筒的滤液的粒度分布。在这两种情况下,残留在滤液中的炭黑的粒度分布均低于孔隙等级,这证实了滤筒至少可以将炭黑颗粒去除,直至低至其孔隙等级。来自孔隙等级为0.2μm的滤筒的滤液足够清澈,无法测量粒度分布。
测量来自孔隙等级为1.0和0.45μm的滤筒的滤液的粒度分布。在这两种情况下,残留在滤液中的炭黑的粒度分布均低于孔隙等级,这证实了滤筒至少可以将炭黑颗粒去除,直至低至其孔隙等级。来自孔隙等级为0.2μm的滤筒的滤液足够清澈,无法测量粒度分布。
测试表明,筒式过滤器可以有效地将炭黑颗粒去除,直至低至上述单个过滤器的孔隙等级。测试还证实,需要去除几乎所有的炭黑,才能使液体明显清澈。
Claims (15)
1.从含有浓酸,优选浓硫酸的含水流中去除颗粒物质的方法,其中所述颗粒物质的平均粒度在0.05-10μm范围内,所述含水流中硫酸的浓度大于60wt%,
所述方法包括:
通过使所述含水流通过过滤器单元进行机械过滤;
所述过滤器单元包括金属、陶瓷或聚合物过滤器,或在隔膜上包含助滤剂的过滤器;其中所述含水流是用于从工艺气流生产硫酸的工艺设备的硫酸冷凝器的出口流,任选为布置在硫酸冷凝器下游的硫酸浓缩器的出口流;
所述工艺气流包含硫和所述颗粒物质,
所述工艺设备包括:将所述工艺气流的SO2形式的硫在SO2转化单元中转化为富含SO3的气流,所述SO2转化单元包括催化剂床;
使所述工艺气体通过所述催化剂床;
将富含SO3的气流转化为所述硫酸冷凝器的所述出口流,任选为所述硫酸浓缩器的所述出口流;和,
任选地提供酸冷却步骤以降低所述出口流的温度。
2.根据权利要求1所述的方法,其中所述过滤器单元设置在:酸冷却步骤的下游;或在酸冷却步骤内部作为酸冷却回路的一部分,或集成在酸冷却回路内。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的方法,其中所述金属、陶瓷或聚合物过滤器,或在隔膜上包含助滤剂的过滤器具有0.1至14μm,优选0.5至12μm的过滤介质等级。
4.根据权利要求1-3中任一项所述的方法,其中金属过滤器是烧结金属并且过滤介质等级在3-7μm范围内,优选5μm。
5.根据权利要求1-3中任一项所述的方法,其中所述隔膜是聚合物、陶瓷或钢材料,并且所述助滤剂包括硅藻土。
6.根据权利要求1、3和5中任一项所述的方法,其中所述陶瓷过滤器的陶瓷或所述隔膜的陶瓷包含一种或多种选自铝、钙、钾、钠、镁、钨、铁和硅的元素;并且所述聚合物过滤器或所述隔膜的聚合物材料是聚丙烯;氟化聚合物,例如四氟乙烯,例如聚四氟乙烯(PTFE);聚氯乙烯;聚苯硫醚;聚苯醚;或它们的组合。
7.根据权利要求7所述的方法,其中所述聚合物过滤器的聚合物材料是PTFE;并且所述聚合物过滤器是PTFE膜,例如PTFE膜或ePTFE膜,其任选为褶皱的,并且任选还容纳在丙烯外壳中以形成滤筒。
8.根据权利要求1至7中任一项所述的方法,其中所述颗粒物质的平均粒度在0.1-5μm的范围内,例如0.1-2μm。
9.根据权利要求1至8中任一项所述的方法,其中所述含水流中的颗粒物质的含量为0.1-500ppm-wt,优选0.3-250ppm-wt,例如100ppm-wt。
10.根据权利要求1至9中任一项所述的方法,其中所述颗粒物质是烟灰。
11.根据权利要求1至9中任一项所述的方法,其中所述颗粒物质是炭黑。
12.根据权利要求1至11中任一项所述的方法,其中所述工艺气流包含O2和大于200ppmvol SO2,例如大于500ppm vol SO2;以及所述颗粒物质,其中所述颗粒物质是烟灰和/或炭黑,其在所述工艺气流中的浓度为>2mg/Nm3。
13.根据权利要求1至12中任一项所述的方法,其中所述工艺气流是来自炭黑生产设备的废气。
14.根据权利要求1至13中任一项所述的方法,其中所述SO2转化单元的所述催化剂床包含催化剂,
该催化剂包含五氧化二钒;硫酸盐、焦硫酸盐、三硫酸盐或四硫酸盐形式的硫;以及在多孔载体上的一种或多种碱金属,
其中催化剂中五氧化二钒含量为1-15wt%,催化剂中硫含量为1-25wt%,催化剂中碱金属为2-25wt%,和
其中多孔载体是硅藻土或石英,即二氧化硅,其任选包含高达10wt%的氧化铝。
15.根据权利要求1至14中任一项所述的方法,其中所述含水流中硫酸的浓度为85wt%或更高。
