Abstract

技术领域
本发明涉及一种用于对基材涂布涂料的涂布装置。
背景技术
存在于衬底或膜、片材、板、面板等(以下,将它们统称为“基材”)的表面,涂布抗蚀剂涂料或导电涂料、绝缘涂料、保护涂料、强化涂料、UV(Ultraviolet,紫外线)光遮光涂料、防静电涂料、着色涂料、功能性涂布剂等(以下,将它们统称为“涂料”)的情况。作为一例,可列举在印刷配线衬底上涂布抗蚀剂的情况或在铜箔上涂布接着剂的情况等。
以往,作为在基材上涂布涂料的装置,已知具备在基材上涂布涂料的涂布辊、向该涂布辊供给涂料的刮刀辊、及事先蓄积有涂料的涂料容器的装置(专利文献1)。在该装置中,通过以刮刀辊刮取涂料容器内的涂料,将该涂料从刮刀辊转移至涂布辊,并从涂布辊转印至基材,从而将涂料涂布于基材上。

发明内容
[发明欲解决的课题]
然而,在所述涂布装置中,因为只有刮刀辊与涂料直接接触,所以涂布于基材的涂料的膜厚均匀性依赖于附着于刮刀辊的涂料量或刮刀辊表面的涂料平滑度、从刮刀辊转移至涂布辊的涂料量、所转移的涂料的平滑度。
因此,例如在刮刀辊表面的涂料缺乏平滑性的情况下,转移至涂布辊表面的涂料变得不均匀,结果转印至基材的涂料的膜厚变得不均匀。
通常来说,因为涂布于基材的涂膜的平滑度影响电子零件的安装密度,所以期望涂膜尽可能平滑。在迎来5G时代,衬底的高密度化不断发展的当今,该要求前所未有地提高。
本发明是鉴于所述情况而完成的发明,其解决课题在于提供一种涂布装置,该涂布装置与以往的涂布装置相比,能够形成平滑性优异的涂膜。
[用以解决课题的手段]
本发明的涂布装置在基材上涂布涂料,具备涂布辊、刮刀辊及支承部件。在本发明的涂布装置中,以涂料附着于涂布辊及刮刀辊的方式,利用支承部件、涂布辊及刮刀辊形成有蓄液部。
[发明的效果]
本发明的涂布装置因为以涂料附着于涂布辊及刮刀辊的方式形成有蓄液部,所以附着于涂布辊的涂料的量稳定,能够在基材上形成平滑的涂膜。

具体实施方式
(实施方式1)
参照附图对本发明的涂布装置的实施方式的一例进行说明。作为一例,图1所示的涂布装置是在基材P上涂布涂料的装置,且具备涂布辊1、刮刀辊2及支承部件3。在该实施方式中,以涂料附着于涂布辊1及刮刀辊2的方式,利用支承部件3、涂布辊1及刮刀辊2形成有蓄液部4。于涂布辊1及刮刀辊2的长度方向两外侧,设有防止蓄积于蓄液部4的涂料洒落的防洒具5。如图2所示,涂布辊1、刮刀辊2及支承部件3以相同的高度设于隔着基材P的两侧。
所述涂布辊1是用以将涂料转印于基材P而形成涂膜的部件。涂布辊1中,除橡胶辊或金属辊以外,可使用在它们的外周具备DLC(Diamond-Like Carbon,类钻石-碳)膜的辊。橡胶辊包含天然橡胶及合成橡胶。金属辊包含对碳钢进行镀覆而得的辊等。
在此实施方式中,使用在外周面不存在凹凸(槽)的实体辊作为涂布辊1,但涂布辊1中,除实体辊以外,也可使用在外周面设有螺旋槽或单槽、点等各种形状的槽的雕刻辊。槽的形状为一例,也可为除此以外的形状。
此实施方式的涂布辊1以不拘泥于是否与基材P接触而始终旋转的方式构成。涂布辊1相对于基材P的移动方向朝逆向旋转,具体来说,如图2所示,其中一个(该图左侧)涂布辊1沿顺时针方向旋转,另一个(该图右侧)涂布辊1沿逆时针方向旋转。涂布辊1也可沿相反方向(相对于基材P的移动方向而言的正向)旋转。无论何种情况下,皆以在与所接触的刮刀辊2的旋转方向相反的方向上旋转的方式构成。
所述刮刀辊2是用以向涂布辊1供给涂料,并且使涂布辊1的表面的涂料平滑(平整)的部件。刮刀辊2中,除金属辊或橡胶辊以外,可使用在它们的外周具备DLC膜的辊。橡胶辊包含天然橡胶及合成橡胶。金属辊包含对碳钢进行镀覆而得的辊等。
在该实施方式中,使用在碳钢的外周具备DLC膜的金属辊作为刮刀辊2。虽省略图示,但在刮刀辊2的外周面设有螺旋槽或单槽、点等各种形状的凹凸(槽)。槽的形状为一例,也可为除此以外的形状。刮刀辊2也可使用没有槽的实体辊。
在该实施方式中,作为涂布辊1及刮刀辊2,使用直径及长度相同的辊。涂布辊1及刮刀辊2也可使用直径或长度不同的辊。但是,优选为刮刀辊2使用相比涂布辊1而言直径更大的辊。通过使用相比涂布辊1而言直径更大的刮刀辊2,在涂布辊1绕一圈期间,因为刮刀辊2的附着了涂料的部分始终与涂布辊1接触,所以涂布辊1的外周面的涂料变得容易均匀化。
所述支承部件3是在涂布辊1与刮刀辊2之间形成蓄液部4的部件。该实施方式的支承部件3是相比涂布辊1及刮刀辊2而言稍长的平板部件。支承部件3除金属以外,可由树脂或橡胶等形成。
如图2所示,该实施方式的支承部件3设为横跨涂布辊1及刮刀辊2两者的大小。支承部件3相对于与垂直移动的基材P的移动方向的直线平行的假想轴线(图2中以双点划线表示),以该假想轴线与支承部件3的下端侧所成的角α为40度左右的方式倾斜设置。该角度能够进行适当调节。
在该实施方式中,涂布辊1与刮刀辊2接触,涂布辊1与支承部件3接触,利用它们而形成有蓄积涂料的蓄液部4。具体来说,在支承部件3与涂布辊1及刮刀辊2之间形成有蓄液部4,蓄积于该蓄液部4的涂料附着于涂布辊1及刮刀辊2两者。
像该实施方式那样,在蓄积于蓄液部4的涂料直接附着于涂布辊1的情况下,因为能够利用涂布辊1自身刮取涂料,所以即使从刮刀辊2转移的涂料的量较少,也不易产生涂布于基材P的涂料的涂布不均,能够在基材P的表面形成平滑的涂膜。
在该实施方式中,刮刀辊2配置于比涂布辊1更靠外侧且更高处。在设为这种位置关系的情况下,有如下优点:附着于涂布辊1的涂料不会因重力落下,能够将涂料确实地转印至基材P。另外,因为与刮刀辊2之接触点至基材P的距离变短,所以有如下优点:即使像在涂布容易挥发的涂料的情况下,也能够在挥发前转印至基材P。
该实施方式的涂布装置除涂布辊1、刮刀辊2及支承部件3以外,具备保持具6、下支承具7、按压销8及姿势保持具9。此外,保持具6、下支承具7、按压销8及姿势保持具9视需要设置即可,也皆可省略,或者可以其它手段代替。
所述保持具6是保持基材P使其沿上下方向移动的部件。该实施方式的保持具6为夹持基材P上部的夹具状部件。保持具6以利用未图示的升降装置升降的方式构成。如图1及图3(a)所示,在该实施方式中,将保持具6为三个的情况作为一例,但保持具6可多于三个,也可少于三个。
在保持像软性衬底那样的软质基材的情况下,为了抑制基材P的摇晃,也可使用如图3(b)所示的夹持基材P的宽度方向两端侧的保持具6。该保持具6具备能够夹持基材P的长度方向全长或大致全长的长度。保持具6也可使用它们以外的保持具。
所述下支承具7是从下侧支撑下降至特定位置的基材P的部件。在该实施方式中,使用比基材P的宽度方向更长的朝上的コ字状流槽状部件作为下支承具7。下支承具7配置于比涂布辊1或姿势保持具9、按压销8更低的位置。下支承具7设于如在基材P到达该下支承具7时,该基材P的上端附近成为与涂布辊1相同程度的高度的位置。
所述按压销8是暂时按压下降至特定位置的基材P的两面的销状部件。该实施方式的按压销8以利用未图示的驱动手段向接近基材P的方向及远离基材P的方向移动的方式构成。在该实施方式中,以在基材P的各个面的外侧设有两根(合计四根)的情况作为一例,但按压销8可多于四根,也可少于四根。
所述姿势保持具9是用以接触或接近基材P的两面而保持该基材P的立起姿势的部件。该实施方式的姿势保持具9为橡胶制的长方体状块体。在该实施方式中,将姿势保持具9在基材P的一面的外侧设置两个,在另一面的外侧设置两个(合计四个)。如图3(a)、图3(b)所示,各面的外侧的姿势保持具9在基材P的宽度方向上空出间隔设置。姿势保持具9的数量可多于四个,也可少于四个。
该实施方式的各姿势保持具9以利用未图示的驱动手段沿接近基材P的方向及远离基材P的方向移动的方式构成。各姿势保持具9也可以个别地移动的方式构成,但在该实施方式中,按压基材P的同一面的两个姿势保持具9同步移动。
在该实施方式中,使姿势保持具9与涂布辊1、刮刀辊2及支承部件3分开移动,但姿势保持具9也可与涂布辊1、刮刀辊2及支承部件3同步移动。各姿势保持具9也可不移动而是固定于固定位置。
各姿势保持具9设于涂布辊1的下侧。姿势保持具9可以与涂布辊1接触的方式设置,也可以远离涂布辊1的方式设置。在以与涂布辊1接触的方式设置的情况下,也可使姿势保持具9的上表面以沿涂布辊1的外周的方式凹陷为圆弧状。
在该实施方式中,设定姿势保持具9为橡胶制,但姿势保持具9也可不为橡胶制。在任一情况下,在利用涂布辊1涂布涂料时,优选设为不妨碍基材P的顺利移动(升降)的程度的摩擦阻力较低的材质性。姿势保持具9也可以不妨碍基材P的顺利上升的方式形成为接触面积较小的形状。另外,可对姿势保持具9的至少抵接面实施氟树脂加工而减少摩擦阻力。
此外,在该实施方式中,将一面使基材P上升一面涂布涂料的情况作为一例,但也可如图2中单点链线所示,设为如一面使基材P下降一面涂布涂料的构成。在该情况下,涂布辊1可相对于基材P的移动方向朝逆向旋转,也可相对于基材P的移动方向朝正向旋转。
(实施方式2)
参照附图对本发明的涂布装置的实施方式的另一例进行说明。该实施方式的涂布装置的基本构成与实施方式1相同。不同之处在于基材P的移动方式。在所述实施方式中,将利用保持具6保持基材P使其沿上下方向移动的情况(基材P为单片的情况)作为一例,但本发明的涂布装置也可设为对如图4所示那样通过卷对卷方式移动的基材P涂布涂料的装置。
具体来说,如图4所示,可将卷出辊10及卷取辊11在上下方向上空出间隔配置,基材P从卷出辊10卷出,而由卷取辊11卷取。
在图4所示的例子中,将下侧设有卷出辊10,上侧设有卷取辊11的情况作为一例示出,但也可设为如下构成:将卷出辊10与卷取辊11上下调换,如图4中单点链线所示那样一面使基材P向下移动,一面涂布涂料。
在设为图4那样的构成的情况下,涂布辊1、刮刀辊2及支承部件3也可使用与实施方式1相同的部件。此外,在利用卷对卷方式进行基材P的移动的情况下,可省略保持具6、下支承具7、按压销8及姿势保持具9。
(其它实施方式)
在所述两实施方式中,将涂布辊1及刮刀辊2的直径相同的情况作为一例,但可使用直径不同的涂布辊1及刮刀辊2。另外,在所述实施方式中,将涂布辊1及刮刀辊2的长度相同的情况作为一例,但也可使用长度不同的涂布辊1及刮刀辊2。
在所述两实施方式中,将使用实体辊作为涂布辊1,使用雕刻辊作为刮刀辊2的情况作为一例,但也可使用雕刻辊作为涂布辊1,使用实体辊作为刮刀辊2。另外,可能的话,也可将涂布辊1及刮刀辊2两者设为实体辊或雕刻辊。
在所述两实施方式中,将使用橡胶辊作为涂布辊1,使用金属辊(在碳钢上形成DLC膜而得的辊)作为刮刀辊2的情况作为一例,但也可使用所述金属辊作为涂布辊1,使用橡胶辊作为刮刀辊2。另外,可能的话,也可将涂布辊1及刮刀辊2两者设为金属辊或橡胶辊。
金属辊例如可使用在以SUS304或SUS440C等沃斯田铁系或麻田散铁系为代表的全部不锈钢、STKM13A或S25C等碳钢表面施加HC镀膜或Ni镀膜、在不锈钢或碳钢或HCr镀膜表面施加DLC膜而得的辊等。
在所述两实施方式中,将刮刀辊2配置于比涂布辊1更高的位置的情况作为一例,但如图5所示,刮刀辊2也可配置于比涂布辊1更低的位置(低处)。在该情况下,该图中,位于基材P左侧的刮刀辊2沿顺时针方向旋转,同一侧的涂布辊1沿逆时针方向旋转。另一方面,该图中,位于基材P右侧的刮刀辊2沿逆时针方向旋转,同一侧的涂布辊1沿顺时针方向旋转。该构成是在涂料的粘性高到不因重力落下的程度的情况下容易采用的构成。
在所述两实施方式中省略说明,但刮刀辊2也可沿将涂布辊1压入的方向及与该方向相反的方向(解除压入的方向)移动。同样地,涂布辊1可沿将基材P压入的方向及于该方向相反的方向(解除压入的方向)移动。
在所述两实施方式中,将涂布辊1、刮刀辊2及支承部件3以相同高度设于隔着基材P的两侧的情况作为一例,但如图6所示,涂布辊1、刮刀辊2及支承部件3也可以不同高度设于隔着基材P的两侧。该构成是基材P为膜或铜箔那样的软质材质的情况下容易采用的构成。
在所述两实施方式中,将在涂布辊1及刮刀辊2的长度方向两外侧设有防洒具5的情况作为一例,但也可通过在支承部件3附加相当于防洒具5的构成,而省略防洒具5。
在所述两实施方式中,以使用在芯材的外周配备有一根辊部件而得的辊作为涂布辊1的情况为一例,但涂布辊1也可使用如图7(a)、图7(b)所示的在芯材12的外周具备涂布部13及直径比该涂布部13更大的抵接部14的辊。该辊的涂布部13及两抵接部14为独立个体,两抵接部14在涂布部13的长度方向两外侧空出间隔(间隙S)设置。
所述芯材12为支撑涂布部13及抵接部14的部件。芯材12可使用铁芯等既有的芯材。芯材12可为实木,也可为中空材(管材)。
所述涂布部13是设于芯材12的外周的辊状管部件。在该实施方式中,使用橡胶辊作为涂布部13。橡胶辊包含天然橡胶及合成橡胶。虽省略图示,但于涂布部13的外周面设有格子状或棱椎状、螺旋状等各种形状的凹凸(槽)。槽的形状为一例,也可为除此以外的形状。
所述抵接部14是与涂布部13为独立个体的辊状部件。在该实施方式中,使用与涂布部13相同的橡胶辊。在该实施方式中,抵接部14在涂布部13的长度方向两外侧各设有一个(合计两个)。抵接部14与涂布部13相比,直径大0.2~0.6mm左右。该尺寸为一例,也可为除此以外的大小。
在该实施方式中,在涂布部13及其长度方向两侧的各者空出间隙S来配置抵接部14。该间隙S是用以配置防洒具5(参照图1)的空间。在该实施方式中,作为一例,将间隙S设为容纳一个宽度为28mm的防洒具5的幅度。该间隙S也可设为容纳两个宽度为28mm的防洒具5的幅度。此处所示的间隙S的幅度为一例,间隙S可比该幅度宽,也可比该幅度窄。间隙S根据防洒具5的宽度确保适当的幅度即可。
在使用图7(a)、图7(b)所示的辊作为涂布辊1的情况下,优选将两个涂布辊1设为图7(a)、图7(b)所示的辊,但也可将任一个涂布辊1设为图7(a)、图7(b)所示的辊。
另外,在使用图7(a)、图7(b)所示的辊作为涂布辊1的情况下,与该涂布辊1成对的刮刀辊2也可使用图7(a)、图7(b)所示的辊。
此外,虽省略图示,但图7(a)、图7(b)所示的辊(涂布辊1)也在一端侧设有连接于驱动发动机的齿轮,并且另一端侧利用轴承以可旋转的方式被轴支承而使用。
本发明并不限定于所述各实施方式的构造或形状,只要不脱离其主旨,可进行各种变形或变更。
其次,参照附图对本发明的涂布装置的动作进行说明。此处,作为本发明的涂布装置的动作的一例,对所述实施方式1的涂布装置的动作、及所述实施方式2的涂布装置的动作进行说明。
所述实施方式1的涂布装置按以下方式动作。此外,在图8(a)~图8(d)及图9(a)~图9(d)中,关于保持具6、按压销8及姿势保持具9,以实线表示接触或接近基材P的状态,以双点划线表示未接触或未接近基材P的状态。
(1)将由保持具6保持的基材P设置于特定位置(图8(a)、图9(a))。
(2)将由保持具6保持的基材P下降至特定位置,由下支承具7支撑(图8(b)、图9(b))。
(3)在基材P的两面抵接按压销8,而保持基材P(图8(c)、图9(c))。此时,在基材P即将由按压销8保持之前解除保持具6对基材P的夹持。另外,姿势保持具9接近或接触基材P的两面,而保持基材P的立起姿势。
(4)基材P两面的涂布辊1抵接于基材P,将保持于涂布辊1表面的涂料转印至基材P(图8(d)、图9(d))。此时,利用保持具6再次夹持基材P的上端部而提拉基材P,涂布辊1表面的涂料转印至该被提拉的基材P。此外,在涂布辊1即将与基材P接触之前解除按压销8对基材P的保持。
所述实施方式2的涂布装置按以下方式动作。
(1)将保持于卷出辊10及卷取辊11的基材P设置于特定位置(图10(a)、图11(a))。
(2)在通过卷出辊10及卷取辊11的动作从卷出辊10侧移动至卷取辊11侧的基材P的两面抵接涂布辊1,将保持于涂布辊1表面的涂料转印至基材P(图10(b)、图11(b))。
在所述两动作中,由涂布辊1涂布于基材P的涂料是由刮刀辊2供给的涂料及涂布辊1自身所刮取的涂料,在通过两辊时平整为特定的厚度。
如以上所述,在所述各实施方式的涂布装置中,因为以涂料不仅由刮刀辊2供给至涂布辊1,涂布辊1自身也可刮取涂料的方式构成,所以附着于涂布辊1的涂料的量容易稳定,能够在基材P形成平滑的涂膜。
本发明的涂布装置能够用于对各种基材P涂布涂料,尤其是能够良好地用于在刚性衬底或软性衬底等印刷配线衬底上涂布抗蚀剂的情况、或在铜箔上涂布接着剂的情况等。

Claims (13)

1.一种涂布装置,在基材上涂布涂料,
其特征在于:
具备涂布辊、刮刀辊及支承部件,
以涂料附着于所述涂布辊及刮刀辊的方式,利用所述支承部件、涂布辊及刮刀辊形成有蓄液部。
2.根据权利要求1所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
支承部件配置于比涂布辊及刮刀辊更靠外侧。
3.根据权利要求1或2所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
涂布辊在与刮刀辊的旋转方向相反的方向上旋转。
4.根据权利要求1至3中任一权利要求所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
涂布辊与刮刀辊的旋转速度不同。
5.根据权利要求1至4中任一权利要求所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
涂布辊相对于基材的移动方向朝正向或逆向旋转。
6.根据权利要求1至5中任一权利要求所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
刮刀辊能够在将涂布辊压入的方向及解除压入的方向上移动。
7.根据权利要求1至6中任一权利要求所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
涂布辊能够在将基材压入的方向及解除压入的方向上移动。
8.根据权利要求1至7中任一权利要求所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
涂布辊、刮刀辊及支承部件设于隔着基材的两侧。
9.根据权利要求8所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
设于隔着基材的两侧的涂布辊、刮刀辊及支承部件设于上下方向的相同高度或不同高度。
10.根据权利要求1至9中任一权利要求所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
具备能够使所保持的基材在上下方向上移动的保持具。
11.根据权利要求1至9中任一权利要求所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
具备在上下方向上空出间隔来配置的卷出辊及卷取辊,
基材从所述卷出辊卷出,由所述卷取辊卷取。
12.根据权利要求1至11中任一权利要求所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
在比涂布辊、刮刀辊及支承部件更靠下侧设有保持基材的姿势的姿势保持具。
13.根据权利要求1至12中任一权利要求所述的涂布装置,其特征在于:
具备辊作为涂布辊或/及刮刀辊,该辊在芯材的外周具有涂布部及在该涂布部的长度方向两外侧空出间隔来设置的抵接部。
