Abstract
气囊约束系统与其合为一体的汽车方向盘由方向盘的两个部件组成,方向盘第一个部件(20)形为毂部(22)并配一个用于固定转向轴(28)末端的轴瓦(26),方向盘在第二个部件(10)包括带外壳的方向盘边缘、几根辐条及一个紧固法兰盘。在方向盘中装纳一个气囊组件(30)。此气囊组件(30)的盖子(12a)在方向盘的外壳(12)中合为一体。
Description
本发明涉及一种气囊约束系统与其合为一体的汽车方向盘,它包括一个带外壳的方向盘本体,该本体由一个固定转向轴之用的毂部、方向盘边缘及连接毂部与方向盘边缘的几根条辐构成,并用于安装一个由折好的气囊及气体发生器组成的气囊组件,方向盘还包括一个压盖气囊的盖子。
汽车方向盘通常由亦称为方向盘骨架的方向盘金属本体及整个或部分包绕方向盘本体的外壳构成。方向盘边缘经由多根通常是三根辐条连向方向盘本体的中心部位。毂部配有供转向轴末端插入的轴向透孔。借助于一个上紧在转向轴末端的螺母而把转向轴紧固。待汽车方向盘紧固在转向轴上之后,就把带有折好的气囊及气体发生器的一套完整的气囊组件插入空心的毂部中。最后,再把一个盖子盖在气囊组件上。
按照本发明,上述类型的汽车方向盘之制造与装配会大为简化。符合本发明的汽车方向盘之方向盘本体由两个互相连接的部件组成,其中,第一个部件基本由毂部构成,第二个部件实为方向盘边缘、外壳、置于方向盘中与其合为一体的盖子以及几根辐条和一个连接毂部的紧固法兰盘等构成。这种汽车方向盘的构造,没有必要单独分开制造并装配一个盖子。气囊约束系统与其合为一体的这种汽车方向盘,可作为一套完工待用组件提供给用户。推荐实施例中转向轴末端的紧固,借助位于毂部上的内花键套与转向轴适当的外花键端的可靠互锁来实现,该毂心部被一个与突入毂心部的转向轴自由端上的圆周企口配合的锁紧部件轴向地限定在该转向轴上。
此外,气囊组件推荐实施例带有一个可夹在方向盘两个部件的两个紧固法兰盘之间的安装法兰盘,这些法兰盘由螺母和螺栓上紧在一起。
本发明的其余优点和性能可以从以下对一个实施例的叙述及供参考的图中表明。

图1与图2所示方向盘由两个方向盘部件构成,方向盘上部件10包括外壳12、方向盘边缘14、径向紧固法兰盘16及辐条18;方向盘下部件20由一个也有径向紧固法兰盘24的毂部22及一个用于固定转向轴28一端的套筒26组成。在外壳12中有一个盖压气囊组件30的盖子12a与外壳合成一体,气囊组件容纳在方向盘的这个盖子12a与毂部22底部之间的范围内。气囊组件30由一个折好的气囊32及一个气体发生器34组成,该气体发生器置于一个通常为杯形且本身带有依径向看朝外的安装法兰盘38的毂部36中。此安装法兰盘38夹于方向盘上下两部件10与20的紧固法兰盘16与24之间。
使方向盘上下两部件10与20彼此固定,借助于穿过紧固法兰盘16、安装法兰盘38的相应孔洞及紧固法兰盘16、安装法兰盘38的相应孔洞及紧固法兰盘24的柱形螺栓,并借助于上紧在柱形螺栓40末端的螺母42来完成。
转向轴28直径收小的一端带有与套筒26的内花键牢牢联锁的外花键。在此套筒邻接毂部22的一端,有一个供突入毂部22内空间且以圆周槽44为特征的转向轴28锥形自由端通过的透孔。一个锁紧部件47朝着转向轴28的中心线横向插入这个圆周槽44中,以便把毂心部22轴向地锁于转向轴28末端位置上。
套筒26由起径向隔离作用的筒形挡板46包绕,该挡板与毂部22固定连接并与套筒26一起形成至少容纳一个螺旋盘绕静接头弹簧的环形空间。这个在图3中大略显示的接触弹簧50由其内端与连接件52和54相连,这两个连接件带有插入接头,其中,连接件52与气体发生器34相接,而连接件54与在方向盘外壳12中与方向盘合为一体的电路开关56及58相接。接触弹簧50的外端相对于包绕转向轴28的转向柱套管60而言被固定限制,且与车内的电路连接。最后,在档板46及毂部22上装有一个通常为钟形的连接部件62,它使方向盘的外壳12的外轮廓顺着转向柱套管60的方向延伸。
比起常规的各种设计来,符合本发明的气囊约束系统与其合为一体的这种汽车方向盘,显出许多优点。由于盖子12a与外壳12合为一体,就不会出现不合乎要求的分离外形,也不会发生颜色歧异。由两个相互连接的方向盘部件及一个预制的气囊组件构成的方向盘,其部件构造由于制造每个零配件都允许各自采用最佳方案而被证明是特别便利。由于配备带插入连接元件的连接件52和54,在组装方向盘时,只要顺着轴向一起合并就可容易地装好接头连接器。采用气囊约束系统已合装的成套方向盘的汽车生产厂家会大大受益,这种益处会使其装配汽车大为省力。方向盘的集约构造还会使径向上的整个高度节省。最后,由于方向盘的各个零部件彼此可容易拆卸,回收利用也就简便易行。
Claims (7)
1.气囊组件与其合为一体的汽车方向盘,包括带有方向盘外边缘的方向盘本体、一个环形的内部连接部件、至少一根使上述环形连接部件及上述方向盘边缘相互连接的辐条,以及用以固定转向轴的毂部,该毂部具有用紧固装置与上述环形连接部件相连的一外缘,上述气囊组件包括一个折好的气囊、一个气体发生器及一个盖子,该气囊组件容纳在由上述盖子与上述毂部的底部之间所限定的空间中。
2.如权利要求1所述的汽车方向盘,其特征在于:上述紧固装置由穿过上述环形连接部件与上述外缘中的对准的孔口的若干螺栓构成。
3.如权利要求1所述的汽车方向盘,其特征在于:上述毂部有一个安装在上述转向轴的外花键端上的内花键套筒,上述转向轴有一个带圆周槽的自由端部,且通过上述毂部底部的一个孔口突入该毂部中,一个锁紧垫圈安装在上述环形槽中用以将上述毂部轴向地固定在上述转向轴端部上。
4.如权利要求2所述的汽车方向盘,其特征在于:上述气囊组件带有一个夹紧在所述环形连接部件与所述外缘之间的安装法兰盘。
5.如权利要求3所述的汽车方向盘,其特征在于:上述内花键套筒被一个与上述毂部相连并限定一个容纳至少一个螺旋盘绕接触弹簧的环形空间的在径向上间隔开来的套筒包绕。
6.如权利要求1所述的汽车方向盘,其特征在于,上述方向盘边缘,以及上述辐条的至少一部份,是包在一层塑料制成的连续外壳中。
7.如权利要求6所述的汽车方向盘,其特征在于:上述盖子构成上述外壳的一个整体部份。
