技术领域
本公开涉及供与手术装置一起使用的负载感测装置。更具体来说,本公开涉及与用于执行外科手术程序的机电手术系统一起使用的负载感测装置,其具有可重复使用组件和单次使用组件,例如末端执行器和适配器。
背景技术
用于将紧固件或钉施加到组织的手术紧固件设备是众所周知的。这些紧固件设备包含单次使用器械,其预载有一个或多个钉且在单次使用之后可抛弃。多次使用器械也是可用的并且预载有多个钉。多次使用器械可包含机电(例如,供电式)的或手动致动的手柄组合件,和手术加载单元。加载单元可以是单次使用加载单元(SULU)或多次使用加载单元(MULU)。加载单元包含主体和末端执行器,并且直接或经由可联接到手柄组合件的适配器组合件附接到手柄组合件。末端执行器可包含容纳多个钉的仓。在使用之后,加载单元可从适配器组合件移除且用新的加载单元替换以执行额外钉合和/或切割操作。驱动组合件支撑于加载单元内且可与适配器组合件的相关联驱动机构接合以致动加载单元。归因于驱动组合件的机械组件的致密封装,用于包含传感器的空间较少。相应地,需要可放置在加载单元内以监测驱动组合件和加载单元的其它组件的操作的负载感测装置。
发明内容
供电式手术器械可包含用于在其操作期间提供反馈的各种传感器。本公开提供安置于柔性电路衬底上的负载感测装置,从而允许将负载感测装置放置在收缩空间中,例如加载单元和手术器械的其它组件。
根据本公开的负载感测装置包含应变计,其具有安置于例如聚酰胺等电介质衬底上的由例如康铜等电阻性金属合金形成的导电迹线。应变计结合或以其它方式固定到组件的表面,包含但不限于在加载单元的一个或两个夹钳部件内。随着上面安装应变计的组件膨胀或收缩(即,施加应变),应变计上的导电迹线也膨胀或收缩,借此改变应变计的总电阻。电阻的改变影响供应给应变计的测量信号。在实施例中,应变计可布置在惠斯通桥电路配置中。接着测量电路的振幅的改变以确定应变量。
应变计的典型应用为使得其放置在特定关注点上来测量应变。此可用于经验测试,从而寻找归因于特定加载条件或力转换器的设计的实际应变,其中多个应变计放置和布置于某一零件上以输出校准后的信号来测量力。应变计的工作原理是基于由化学式(I):R=ρ(l/A)的Pouillett定律限定的电阻率,其中R为电阻,ρ为材料电阻率,l为材料的长度,且A为材料的横截面面积。应变计包含高电阻金属的单个迹线,其布置成使得迹线的长时间操作在变形相关方向上。因此,应变计是可变电阻器,其在应变计结合到的表面归因于应变改变其长度时改变电阻。当应变计结合到的材料使l长度变形时,Pouillett定律的变量改变,从而致使电阻改变,其可使用惠斯通桥电路测量。
可基于应变计结合到的表面的变形来校准应变计以改变电阻的比例量。此属性被称为仪表灵敏度因数(gauge factor)且由以下公式(II):GF=(ΔR/R)/∈限定,其中GF为仪表灵敏度因数,R为标称电阻,ΔR为电阻的改变,且∈为应变。仪表灵敏度因数在由应变计制造商限定的范围内是恒定的。对于典型应用,恒定的仪表灵敏度因数通常用于测量应变。然而,存在在整个应变计中具有不同仪表灵敏度因数可能是有用的情形。在本公开中,应变计沿着手术缝合器的夹钳部件的沟道放置以测量归因于组织收缩的沟道弯曲。随着还弹出钉的驱动组合件移动跨越沟道以执行射击,I形梁附近的应变计区域不再弯曲且实际上为非活动。因此,如果I形梁处于射击过程的中途,则归因于弯曲仅产生信号的一半。为了维持信号的振幅在整个射击过程中恒定,需要具有不同仪表灵敏度因数的应变计。通过将应变计的远侧部分制造为较敏感,或具有较高仪表灵敏度因数,信号振幅可保持较高。
传统应变计可具有恒定的仪表灵敏度因数,或针对给定应变恒定的电阻改变。因此,通过改变应变计上的导电迹线的整体形状,可产生不同信号响应。本公开提供横跨夹钳部件的长度的应变计,使得当加载单元的I形梁纵向行进穿过夹钳部件以夹持、缝合和切割组织时,存在安置在致动滑块的远侧的应变计的有源区。如上所述,问题是,随着致动滑块纵向移动,应变计的有源部分减小,从而致使整个应变计的平均效应,这降低电阻改变和因此总体电信号。当前,传统应变计始终具有恒定仪表灵敏度因数。本公开提供各种形状和尺寸(且确切地说,其导电网格)的应变计,使得应变计的不同区域具有不同仪表灵敏度因数,借此限制平均效应。
根据本公开的应变计还可安置于柔性电路上。传统应变计需要焊料连接或线接合以便完成电路。这可能导致潜在故障点,并且还增加应变计的厚度,从而防止其放置在加载单元内。根据本公开的应变计还可包含信号、功率和接地引线,其也作为迹线安置在柔性电路上。这允许将应变计放置在加载单元内。
应变计包含具有例如聚酰胺等电介质衬底上的由例如康铜等金属合金形成的迹线的电阻材料。在实施例中,用于承受应变的具有负热电阻系数、高电阻率和强机械特性的任何合金可用于形成电阻材料。电阻材料的迹线制造为使得其电阻响应于应变计附接到的组件变形而最佳地改变。应变计还包含安置于电阻材料上方的导电材料。导电材料可由例如铜等低电阻率金属形成。
通过在第一(例如,近侧)部分中以预定图案且在第二(例如,远侧)部分中以不间断层沉积电阻材料来形成应变计。电阻材料的预定图案被掩蔽,且导电材料迹线直接安置在电阻材料的不间断层上方。此配置避免需要额外绝缘层,借此使应变计的厚度最小化。因为电阻材料具有比导电材料高的电阻,所以电流仅流动穿过安置于电阻材料的不间断层上方的导电材料。
根据本公开的一个实施例,提供一种手术末端执行器。所述手术末端执行器包含:砧座组合件;仓组合件,其包含多个紧固件;驱动组合件,其可纵向移动以相对于仓组合件接近砧座组合件;以及应变计电路,其安置于仓组合件内,所述应变计电路被配置成测量由驱动组合件施加在仓组合件上的应变。
根据本公开的另一实施例,提供一种手术器械。手术器械包含:手柄组合件,其包含控制器和电源;适配器组合件,其包含联接到手柄组合件的近端部分和远端部分;以及加载单元,其联接到适配器组合件的远端部分。加载单元包含手术末端执行器,所述手术末端执行器具有:砧座组合件;仓组合件,其包含多个紧固件;以及驱动组合件,其可纵向移动以相对于仓组合件接近砧座组合件。手术末端执行器还包含应变计电路,其安置于仓组合件内且电联接到控制器和电源,所述应变计电路被配置成测量由驱动组合件施加在仓组合件上的应变且将测量信号发射到控制器。
根据以上实施例中的任一个的一个方面,应变计电路包含柔性电路。所述柔性电路可包含第一柔性电介质衬底;电阻性传感器层,其安置于第一柔性电介质衬底上方;导电层,其安置于电阻性传感器层上方;以及第二柔性电介质衬底,其安置于电阻性传感器层和导电层上方。
根据另一方面,电阻性传感器层包含应变计和连续层。导电层包含第一导电迹线和第二导电迹线,其中的每一个联接到应变计。
根据另一方面,应变计包含具有第一端和第二端的连续迹线,所述第一端联接到所述第一导电迹线且所述第二端联接到所述第二导电迹线。

参看图1,供电式手术器械10包含手柄组合件20,其被配置成与适配器组合件30选择性地连接,所述适配器组合件继而被配置成与例如加载单元40等末端执行器选择性地连接。尽管通常被称为供电式手术器械,但预期,手术器械10可以是手动致动的且可包含各种配置。

参考图10-13,应变计电路68形成为具有第一柔性电介质衬底88和第二柔性电介质衬底90的柔性电路86,所述柔性电介质衬底围封电阻性传感器层92和导电层94。电介质衬底88和90可由任何合适的柔性电介质材料形成,包含(但不限于)聚酯、聚酰亚胺、聚萘二甲酸伸乙酯、聚醚酰亚胺、氟聚合物、聚醚醚酮及其组合。电阻性传感器层92可由具有负热电阻系数(以使温度变化对电阻的影响最小化和/或防止所述影响)、高电阻率(高于45.0x10-8Ω·m的电阻率),和承受机械应变的强机械特性的任何金属合金形成。用作电阻性传感器层92的合适的合金包含由铜、镍、锰及其组合形成的任何合金,例如康铜和锰铜。导电层94由例如金属(例如铜、银等)、金属合金、导电聚合物及其组合等任何合适的导电材料形成。
电阻性传感器层92包含应变计76和安置于第一电介质衬底88上的连续片段96。应变计76包含具有第一端100和第二端102的连续迹线98,所述连续迹线98布置成任何合适的网格图案,例如具有在相对端处互连的多条平行网格线104的图案,如图13所示。连续迹线98的第一和第二端100和102联接到导电层94的第一导电迹线78a和第二导电迹线78b。第一和第二导电迹线78a和78b叠加在电阻性传感器层92的连续片段96上。第一和第二导电迹线78a和78b中的每一个联接到连续迹线98的第一和第二端100和102,从而实现经由应变计76发射测量信号。
在形成导电迹线78a和78b之前,可掩蔽应变计76。电阻性传感器层92和导电层94可使用任何消减(例如,蚀刻)或加成(例如,丝网印刷)技术施加到第一电介质衬底88,用于在柔性电介质衬底上形成金属层。因为电阻性传感器层92具有比导电层94的导电迹线78a和78b高的电阻,所以测量信号的电流仅行进穿过应变计76以及导电迹线78a和78b。此配置避免需要电阻性传感器层92和导电层94之间的绝缘层,借此使应变计电路68较薄且允许将其放置在载体60的凹陷70内。
应变计电路68被配置成在驱动组合件50的致动期间测量施加在末端执行器44(且确切地说,仓组合件48)上的应变。如上所述,随着驱动组合件50向远侧移动,驱动组合件50闭合砧座组合件46且推动致动滑块66穿过钉仓58。致动滑块66接合钉推动器64,钉推动器弹射钉62,从而密封组织。同时,刀55a还切割的密封组织。相应地,在驱动组合件50的移动期间,载体60归因于组织收缩和其它力而弯曲。
随着驱动组合件50(且确切地说,I形梁55)移动跨越沟道以执行夹持、缝合和切割,应变计76的近侧区域,即在I形梁55的近侧的区域不再弯曲且实际上非活动。因此,如果I形梁55处于致动移动过程的中途,则应变计76仅产生信号的一半。本公开提供防止信号在整个射击过程中减小的新颖的应变计设计。在实施例中,根据本公开的应变计具有不同仪表灵敏度因数。确切地说,应变计的远侧部分较敏感,例如具有比应变计的近侧部分高的仪表灵敏度因数,使得测量信号的振幅随着射击的进行而变高。
应变计76的总电阻改变取决于应变计76上施加的应变。因此,如果应变为恒定的,正如轴向负载中,则可使用仪表灵敏度因数来计算已知应变。然而,载体60充当悬臂梁,其由I形梁55驱动组合件50弯曲。载体60和其内安置应变计76的凹陷70开始向I形梁55的远侧弯曲,因此,在其中应变计76太长(例如,3厘米以上)的实施例中,I形梁55的近侧不存在弯曲。
与I形梁55的改变的位置相关的应变可使用公式(III):∈a=βe-αx计算,其中∈a为轴向应变,β和α为常数,且x为砧座组合件46和仓组合件48内I形梁55的位置。
以下公式(IV)可用于确定针对给定应变的电阻改变:
其中D为应变计76的横截面面积的要素。
总电阻改变可使用公式(V)确定为从I形梁55的位置k到再加载件的端部L的公式(IV)的积分:
为了在I形梁55的所有位置上存在恒定电阻改变,相对于位置k的公式(V)的导数应为恒定的,如公式(VI)中所展示:
通过代入公式(IV)评估公式(VI),导出以下公式(VII):
关注公式(VII)的第二项,其展示如果电线横截面的改变除以电线横截面等于I形梁55的所有位置的轴向应变,则将存在恒定电阻改变。公式(VII)假设恒定弯曲特性,且归因于泊松效应(Poisson’s effect)的横截面改变为最低限度的。因此,公式(VII)示出改变应变计上的电线或迹线的形状可产生恒定的电阻改变。
根据本公开的应变计还可并入有具有恒定电阻改变以提供可变仪表灵敏度因数的其它网格图案。参看图14,展示应变计176,其可用于应变计电路68中。应变计176包含具有第一端200和第二端202的连续迹线198。连续迹线198包含在相对端处互连的具有不同长度的多个平行网格线204。网格线204的长度从外网格线204向内网格线204减小。确切地说,网格线204布置成多对,两个第一对208为最长(两条最外网格线204除外),两个第二对210具有中间长度,且中间对212为最短。此外,网格线204围绕由应变计176限定的纵向轴线布置成对称图案。据设想,应变计176可包含任何数目的网格线204,其布置成具有减小的长度(从外向内)的任何数目的对,以便通过改变纵向方向中应变计176的横截面面积来补偿I形梁55的可变应变。改变横截面面积,即通过增加纵向方向中近侧方向与远侧方向之间的面积,实现跨越应变计176的整个长度恒定的ΔR。
参看图15,展示应变计276,其也可用于应变计电路68中。应变计276包含在远端300和302处互连的一对平行网格线304。网格线304围绕由应变计76限定的纵向轴线布置成对称图案。网格线304中的每一个具有锥形形状,其在纵向方向中在近侧方向与远侧方向之间具有减小的宽度。此配置还通过改变纵向方向中应变计276的横截面面积来补偿I形梁55的可变应变。改变横截面面积实现了跨越应变计276的整个长度恒定的ΔR。

Claims (16)

1.一种手术末端执行器,其包括:
砧座组合件;
仓组合件,其包含多个紧固件;
驱动组合件,其能够纵向移动以相对于所述仓组合件接近所述砧座组合件;以及
应变计电路,其安置于所述仓组合件内,所述应变计电路被配置成测量由所述驱动组合件施加在所述仓组合件上的应变,
其中所述应变计电路包含柔性电路,所述柔性电路包含:
第一柔性电介质衬底;
电阻性传感器层,其安置于所述第一柔性电介质衬底上方;
导电层,其安置于所述电阻性传感器层上方;以及
第二柔性电介质衬底,其安置于所述电阻性传感器层和所述导电层上方。
2.根据权利要求1所述的手术末端执行器,其中所述电阻性传感器层包含应变计和连续层。
3.根据权利要求2所述的手术末端执行器,所述导电层包含第一导电迹线和第二导电迹线,所述导电迹线中的每一个联接到所述应变计。
4.根据权利要求3所述的手术末端执行器,其中所述应变计包含具有第一端和第二端的连续迹线,所述第一端联接到所述第一导电迹线且所述第二端联接到所述第二导电迹线。
5.根据权利要求4所述的手术末端执行器,其中所述应变计具有可变仪表灵敏度因数。
6.根据权利要求5所述的手术末端执行器,其中所述应变计包含一对平行网格线,所述平行网格线中的每一个具有锥形形状,借此提供所述可变仪表灵敏度因数。

9.根据权利要求8所述的手术末端执行器,其中所述引线部分包含具有至少一匝的松弛部分。
10.一种手术器械,其包括:
手柄组合件,其包含控制器和电源;
适配器组合件,其包含联接到所述手柄组合件的近端部分,和远端部分;以及
加载单元,其联接到所述适配器组合件的所述远端部分,所述加载单元包含手术末端执行器,所述手术末端执行器具有:
砧座组合件;
仓组合件,其包含多个紧固件;
驱动组合件,其能够纵向移动以相对于所述仓组合件接近所述砧座组合件;以及
应变计电路,其安置于所述仓组合件内且电联接到所述控制器和所述电源,所述应变计电路被配置成测量由所述驱动组合件施加在所述仓组合件上的应变,且将测量信号发射到所述控制器,
其中所述应变计电路包含柔性电路,所述柔性电路包含:
第一柔性电介质衬底;
电阻性传感器层,其安置于所述第一柔性电介质衬底上方;
导电层,其安置于所述电阻性传感器层上方;以及
第二柔性电介质衬底,其安置于所述电阻性传感器层和所述导电层上方。
11.根据权利要求10所述的手术器械,其中所述电阻性传感器层包含应变计和连续层。
12.根据权利要求11所述的手术器械,所述导电层包含第一导电迹线和第二导电迹线,所述导电迹线中的每一个联接到所述应变计。
13.根据权利要求12所述的手术器械,其中所述应变计包含具有第一端和第二端的连续迹线,所述第一端联接到所述第一导电迹线且所述第二端联接到所述第二导电迹线。
14.根据权利要求13所述的手术器械,其中所述应变计包含可变横截面。
