技术领域
本发明涉及气体压缩机系统技术领域,更具体的说是涉及一种用气体填充容器的气体压缩机系统。
背景技术
罐可用于在压力下容纳流体。在某些情形下,需要具有壁相对薄以及重量相对低的罐。举例而言,在车辆燃料箱中,相对薄的壁允许更高效地利用可用空间,且相对低的重量允许车辆以更高的能效移动。最近的研究表明,通过使用吸附剂相对于现有贮存罐降低压力或提高贮槽中气体的储存容量,吸附剂材料(诸如,活性碳和/或金属有机骨架)可用于储存气体(诸如,天然气)。(参见Zakaria等人,Int'lJourn.Rec.Rsrch.Appl.Stud.9:225-230,2011)。

在一个实施例中,一种用于用气体填充容器的气体压缩机系统。所述气体压缩机系统包括气体压缩机、容器和压力开关,所述容器被配置为容纳加压式气体。压力开关被配置为使压缩机开始用气体填充容器,确定容器中的气体已达到高填充压力,响应于确定容器中的压力已经达到高填充压力而停止压缩机用气体填充容器,确定容器中的压力已达到低填充压力,以及响应于确定容器中的压力已达到低填充压力而使压缩机重新开始用气体填充容器。通过压力开关可以更便于对气体的填充过程进行控制,根据填充压力的大小,不断启动或停止压缩机,使容器内的气体填充的更加充分。

在一个特定实施例中,气体压缩机耦接到容器。容器内放置吸附剂,气体压缩机被配置为将气体引入到容器直到容器内的压力达到高填充压力(例如,30psi、300psi、3000psi、3600psi)。气体压缩机被配置为停止将气体引入到容器中。当不将气体引入到容器中时,气体被吸附到吸附剂上并且压力降低。当容器内的压力下降到低填充压力(例如,25psi、250psi、2500psi、3250psi)时,气体压缩机被配置为再次将气体引入到容器中,直到容器内的压力达到高填充压力。继续这个过程,直到容器内的压力达到低填充压力和高填充压力之间的稳定压力。
在一些实施例中,自动填充系统包括压缩机、天然气泄露传感器(例如,甲烷泄露传感器)、自动截止阀、压力开关、以及防火花电气系统。组件的这种组合与传统的气体压缩机不同,因为其被配置为优化天然气吸附,包括监测和调节填充速率以及可以储存于容器中的气体量最大化。在一些实施例中,自动填充系统的配置和/或设置(例如,用于气体填充的压力和速率)是可调节的以使气体压力保持在容器的经批准参数(例如,工作压力)范围内。
相比于填充不含有吸附剂的容器,吸附剂吸附气体需要额外的时间。在一些实施例中,自动填充系统通过将气体容器填充到高填充压力(例如,对于天然气是500psi)来适应吸附过程。一旦气体容器中的气体压力达到高填充压力,压力开关就中断压缩机功能,直到压力下降(例如,当气体被吸附到吸附剂中)到低填充压力(例如,400psi)。此时,压力开关识别出压力下降,并且然后压缩机再次开始填充容器,直到回升到高填充压力。在一些示例中,压缩机在这个循环中继续,直到主要气体使吸附剂饱和。
自动填充系统可以与除天然气以外的气体一起使用。在一个替代配置中,不包括天然气传感器或者天然气传感器被识别所使用的一种或多种气体的存在的传感器替代。在又另一个替代配置中,当使用非可燃气体来填充容器时,自动填充系统不包括防火花电气系统。
自动填充系统的各种实施例取决于应用具有多种尺寸。在一个实施例中,压缩机包括由来自标准(例如,110伏)壁式插座的电力来供电的两马力压缩机。在又另一个实施例中,压缩机由天然气提供动力。在又另一个实施例中,自动填充系统完全位于车辆上,并且具有压缩机组件,压缩机组件包括四分之一马力的电池组供电马达。

气体压缩机;
容器,其被配置为容纳加压式气体,容器内放置吸附剂;以及
压力开关,其被配置为:
使压缩机开始用气体填充容器,确定容器中的气体已达到高填充压力,
响应于确定容器中的压力已经达到高填充压力而停止压缩机用气体填充容器,
确定容器中的压力已达到低填充压力,以及
响应于确定容器中的压力已达到低填充压力而使压缩机重新开始用气体填充容器;
气体检测装置,其被配置为感测气体压缩机系统外部的气体,并且响应于检测到气体压缩机系统外部的气体而中断压缩机的操作。
2.根据权利要求1所述的一种用气体填充容器的气体压缩机系统,其中所述容器被配置为安装在车辆上。
3.根据权利要求2所述的一种用气体填充容器的气体压缩机系统,其中所述压缩机与容器的安装分开地安装在车辆上。
